Eguavoen should simply train his wingers to practice accurate crosses incase ghana decide to pack the bus. Imagine chukwueze, simon or lookman delivering sweet crosses to osimehn or Dennis. I believe that’s one of the antidote to “packing the bus”
That has been their tactics against Nigeria. Pack the bus then hit us on counter

Osimehn only scored 19 goals in Belgium league for a French club to sign him. Onuachu has scored triple that amount and he hasn’t upgraded to a bigger club. My point is that having a Good agent is equally as valuable as being a talented player because the right agent can elevate one career trajectory. I.e chuppo moting
Onuachu's problem is his age. Nigeria is known for age manipulation. Onuachu is almost 28 and I know they must have added 7 years to his age. Tell me one Nigeria player born in Nigeria that made a big money switch at 27.

There's no such thing as the best Nigerian. Young equates to more energy and from what Salzburg is doing young also equates to more work rate..

You seem to have an over dose of youthful exuberance and little understanding.

Youthful brawn will not overcome intelligent application. For your small mind, Ronaldo is 37 but has one of the highest work rate in Manchester United and is one of the fastest players.

Red Bull Salzburg I can bet you will not win the Champions League even last 8 is a big achievement for them.

Guy, it should be a possibility simply because opponents has realized how to defeat us. They simply pack the bus and hope for a fortuitous goal and game over. Our wingers and full backs should practice crossing incase our opponents decide to “pack the bus” this is where “Paul onuachu” becomes important. I will invite him for the Ghana game

So you will invite Onuachu just to come and try and nod some hopeful cross into the net?

Knowing how to score from headers isn't always about height.. Jota is one of the best header of the ball in the premier league today and he is among the shortest players in Liverpool..It's all about good positioning and having a good crosser at the other end... Our wingers are poor at crossing because it isn't their style.. Chukwueze is a left footed right winger.. His right foot is weak..he can't cross!! Simon is also a right footed left winger..he likes to cut in and dribble.. Ejuke likewise...
We aren't in the era of Findi, Babangida and Pius Ikedia abeg..

How many Africans who are not world class have made big money move at 27 ?

Onuachu leaving genk won’t cost more then 25 million euros ,is that what you are calling a big money move ?

Let’s be mindful of how we accuse our players of age falsification because such unverified accusations could be long lasting and dismissive of a player career. You don’t have any evidence of him adding “7 years” to his career, why are you writing such Lies on a public platform knowing how uzoho career trajectory ended because of similar accusations? Anyway, in modern football that we have the likes of ibra and Ronaldo excelling at 40, 37 respectively, 27 is a young age

I will invite onuachu because he brings a different skillset to the team that can be utilized in case plan A doesn’t work. For example, if the Ghanaians decide to park the bus (high possibility) and our wingers becomes ineffective, onuachu heading abilities becomes useful. Na to tell dem say, “a child wey say ein mama no go sleep, ein sef no go sleep” Also, just because you’re an inverted winger shouldn’t affect your ability to cross. Ultimately, you’re still a winger and perfect crossing should be your first responsibility as a winger. Finidi George was a skillful dribbler but it didn’t affect his football intelligence or adequate crosses. Infact, our only goal vs denmark at the 1998 World Cup was a left side crossing by Finidi

I understand that the afcon debacle is still affecting some people's optimism. That is why you are seeing that we are not boasting as we used to. The truth of the matter is that you are not even up to the quality of the Tunisians that knocked us out. We will beat you silly. Going by history if anyone is to be more motivated to win it's Nigeria. We have the players and the desire to go the world cup is greater here. If your guys are ready to die on the field we are ready to bury them. It would be a massacre.

Ok with a bit more research it looks like the main issue was that his contract runs out in June and Huesca were trying to sell him to another club (Burgos) in the league for some money, but since he didn't return in time that deal fell through and regardless he will leave as a free agent.

I believe that Ogbeche (Indian league present top scorer) should be given a chance at our team.
Me: at the expense of who’s position?
Them: I didn’t say that he should be invited at the expense of anyone position

This is our people make foolish suggestions and don’t want any repercussions

What repercussion will u give them Are u going to beat someone? People are allowed to say what they want it is not that serious. None of us make any decisions here.

I think that’s part of the issue and not the only issue. He allegedly returned late from Afcon and the club are punishing him for such unprofessionalism. As for nwakali, idk what else to say to him. Eguavoen tried to resuscitate your career and you displayed such unprofessionalism towards your club knowing that your invitation is also contingent on “club time” I hope that he can get out of this because it will be sad if he doesn’t

he isn't talking about Onuachu him self subtracting from his age but the club's adding to his age due to not totally believing player's from Africa using their original age even thou it isn't every player that does age cheating wink

they means club's in that context and if he was accusing Onuachu it would have been him subtracting from his age and it a common knowledge clubs now don't trust African player's 100% about their age. Even if they don't make it public we know it a factor that affects African footballers if Onuachu was an European he would be in a better league by now with such performance irrespective of his agent issues wink

I can only write it on Nairaland and no where else. I am trying to let you know how they see Nigerian players born in Nigeria. A 20 year old Onuachu would have made a big money or a move to Europe top 5 leagues Onuachu has done better than Osimehn in Belgium but his problem remains the age perception.

Terrible message from such a legend like Okocha. We need to keep working hard to improve as a team
That is how we can become a success in the long run.

Is Okocha asking us to park bus against Ghana
That is a defeatist mentality. We should go there with the mentality of dominating and winning.

This is just ridiculous.
It appears some people wants to appear politically correct and gel with the crowd

What is his definition of ugly football.
Is it blood and guts, kick and rush, hard tackles that can earn you a penalty or red card.
Purposeless football, inability to string passes, because all these and more can go for the definition of ugly football.

Jay-Jay has shown more in brilliance as a footballer, than as a pundit.

The problem with you nigerians is that you like to boast too much. You guys forget that football is played on the field, not with mouth

grin Every single time Nigeria is playing Ghana, Nigerians will come out talking big and boasting. But almost every time Ghana had won grin How many times have Eguavoen won as a coach against Ghana? Was he not the coach when the Black Stars beat Super Eagles 4-1?

Even your goalie trainer Agu or whatever his name is, had his tooth broken during a crucial game at the Kumasi stadium during his playing days. He never found that tooth till today. grin

As a Ghanaian, I am not losing any sleep over the game with Nigeria. Ghana will win at Cape Coast and get a draw at Abuja. Case closed cool

Bro Eguavoen defeated your black star in a competitive game and you won him in an inconsequential game

Chukwueze's last 5 games for Villarreal saw him making only 2 crosses of the ball. 1 against Deportivo Alaves and the other against Real Betis. Of these crosses, none were successful.

In Super Eagles, we expect him to deliver sublime crosses of the ball, as though he has a penchant for it.
