Onuachu's problem is his age. Nigeria is known for age manipulation. Onuachu is almost 28 and I know they must have added 7 years to his age. Tell me one Nigeria player born in Nigeria that made a big money switch at 27.
zuchyblink:
I can only write it on Nairaland and no where else. I am trying to let you know how they see Nigerian players born in Nigeria. A 20 year old Onuachu would have made a big money or a move to Europe top 5 leagues Onuachu has done better than Osimehn in Belgium but his problem remains the age perception.

watch what you type on the internet...

Nigeria is not known for age falsification.. delete that comment..

Onuachu's problem is the fact that his not fast and doesn't press... Anyone who watch him against West Ham will understand his issues..

It's not just about them doubting his age.. its also about the transfer fee that his club is asking for...

So you will invite Onuachu just to come and try and nod some hopeful cross into the net?

Knowing how to score from headers isn't always about height.. Jota is one of the best header of the ball in the premier league today and he is among the shortest players in Liverpool..It's all about good positioning and having a good crosser at the other end... Our wingers are poor at crossing because it isn't their style.. Chukwueze is a left footed right winger.. His right foot is weak..he can't cross!! Simon is also a right footed left winger..he likes to cut in and dribble.. Ejuke likewise...
We aren't in the era of Findi, Babangida and Pius Ikedia abeg..
But it's a loss that we have a tall striker in Osimhen and yet our wingers are poor crossers of the ball. Regardless of the fact that they are inverted wingers, crossing the ball is one way to get the ball quickly to your attackers and create overloads of scoring opportunities.

What you call in sha Allah is statistical probability. One or two might just be nicked in

Wetin dem no train them for club grin you can't give what you don't have, I found that a way to curb selfishness in wingers is to play them in their natural side i.e (a right footed player plays on the right side of the pitch) that way they have no option than to cross

The Argentines and columbians have always done trainings that weren't really done at their clubs. Same for the Egyptians. No be today that one dey. Club football is not the echelon of complete football now. Haba.

Its a vice versa thing as well.

Once again l reiterate, you don't come to the SE to learn it's too short a time sequence. If you dont know how to cross the ball instinctively with precision in your club and league week in week out. Then you are not going to learn that in the SE.

You pick players because of what they can do here and now, proven and tested by their consistent top level performances in club and league.

Several players have often come out to speak of learning things in the NT setup that they never learnt at their club. So it is very much possible. The only argument against this is Time factor. But that doesn't mean it doesn't happen or can't work.

Bright Osayi-Samuel completed 7 dribbles in his last game, four of them came in this solo run.

This guys is doing something that will make most of y'all that don't want him in the NT for whatever reason to be a yardstick before the end of this decade we are in.

This guy has barely had the tactic played to his strength in the NT and yet we keep making it lool like he doesn't deserve that chance. Is it form, he has it.

I dunno sha. You can make the Osimhen talk but there's absolutely nothing wrong with his taking the spot for a few times in the NT.

For this reason, it would be more sad personally if he doesn't make the WC squad of we qualify. But This is Nigeria!!!

For me, I'm satisfied fully with his form and contribution recently. He deserves a return for the next 90mins games the GWG will be getting prior to Qatar.

Honestly I don't know where all this baseless accusations are coming from.

Has there been any info putting his age in doubt?

Even using eye test he looks his stated age so I don't get where all this is coming from

Let's all be fair if it were Osimhen that did all of this in Belgium we would have crowned him African footballer of the year.

so you’ve forgotten that Onuachu was our starting striker heading into 2019 Afcon?

Starting striker ,Wetin ighalo come be grin

Before the afcon he has only played 3 games which he scored 1 against Egypt ,starting on his debut against Egypt ,and another game against Zimbabwe doesn’t make him a starting striker

He played 3 games at the 2019 afcon and none was up to 90 minutes

The only quality minutes was 73 minutes against Burundi ,against guinea 2 minutes and against Cameroon was 5 minutes

And mind you onuachu was still at Denmark then and not genk that he has been prolific .

Even before that afcon many of us where banking on osimhen to start due to his good form at Charleroi

I really want him to play a part in this Ghana tie. We don't really need crack down anything. Besides he's good in the box. If we gave Sadiq his chance, He needs be given much more.

started the first game against Burundi but didn’t impress and Ighalo came in and score, as a coach what will you do subsequently? Bench ighalo? After Afcon Osimhen was given opportunity in that Ukraine friendly and he grabbed it with both hands. Maybe Onuachu deserve another shot but which match are we going to use as experiment? The Tunisia Algeria and Cameroon friendlies that we played last year I don’t think he was available for any of them. You can’t really blame anybody for his lack of game time with the eagles.

So he must impress in his first game and score ,since he didn’t impress in his first game he is a bad player ? You must be a joker

Ighalo was not fit to start that first game ,nobody is talking about onuachu benching ighalo here

Stop making it look like onuachu has been bad for the eagles as he hasn’t been bad

Where did I blame anybody for his lack of game time? i am pointing out people talking down of him Witt every given opportunity

He only missed the afcon because of injury ,another shot as if he was dropped grin

He lack game time but he should always score from the bench any time he comes on according to many people here grin

If we're talking finishing Onuachu is definitely better than all our strikers even Osimhen.

It's his languid style and lack of pace that's his undoing, but I have no doubt if he's fed with chances he will score most.

I also agree with you absolutely that if we qualify for Qatar and he's fit his name should be one of the first on the plane.
