Salvation is a gift just as faith too is a gift and every gift is gotten by impartation and implantation. For a gift to be very evident it must be fanned to flame or stirred up to perfection.

2 Timothy 1:6 KJV
Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

The moment we received Christ , we believed in our heart towards righteousness and by the confession of the Lordship of Christ, we are saved. It doesn't mean automatically we become saved eternally, but by confessing his lordship we have automatically pledged allegiance to Christ, forsook the old nature which is fallen under the governance of satan, denounced satan aswell and have now come under the governance of Christ.

The law of service is that you are a servant to whom you obey. his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?(rom6:16)


Your confession is an act of faith and we understand by scripture that faith without works is dead , invariably, a gift that isn't stirred up is dead.

Now, it will take obedience and consecration to work and stir up the gift of faith and salvation. When you confess the lordship of Christ and embrace salvation , there will be a quickening by the spirit of truth to walk in a righteous path, it is a dimension of the grace of God. It is a quickening spirit, it is that same spirit which was in Christ , it will come to find an abode in you , to teach you how to fulfill the righteousness of the law and to mortify the flesh. By Grace we have received this spirit and power to work out our salvation.

Titus 2:11-12 KJV

[12] Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;


Our salvation becomes eternal when we hearken and obey the teachings of the spirit of truth . Tho we are eternally forgiven of our sins by the remission of the blood of Christ, but when we still sin ; fulfill the lust of the flesh, we are unknowingly denouncing His Lordship and stepping out of the confinement of his government over our life. So, we must learn to walk in the spirit, to hearken to the ways and leadings of the spirit so we can gain eternal relevance and be under the government of God and as well subdue the works of the flesh and manipulations of satan in our life.

2 Corinthians 10:5-6 KJV
Casting down imaginations, e and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

[6] And having in a readiness to revenge f all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
