Not sure you need to wait for an email for your BRP unless there was an issue with it which you reported in the first place. The person can go back in two weeks. When my family came last year, they went for their BRP 11 days after arrival (due to self isolation at home). When we got to the post office, they told us the BRPs were only received the day before.

Serious note, you do not need Ilr for mortgage, your employment status, overall finance will determine your eligibility.

Only issue could be the length of your stay and if you are still on probation at work, however Speak to a mortgage advisor. I have read about someone who got a house within 1yr of moving to the UK.

I picked my dependent Visa on Monday and realized there exists on the visa "No work, business or public funds". How best can i correct this error? Should i do it from here or correct from the UK. I plan on leaving in another one week.

Similarly, for a family of four, I and My Wife picked up our visas same day, we all did our biometrics same day as well, TLS Ikeja; Jan 20th, for a strange reasons our two son's hasn't moved beyond DMC since then. We sent a paid email, we were told decision has been made. Anyone with similar experience?

How do i transfer my vignettes and resume september. I don’t want to go through Visa process all over again and pay new fees

Alternatively, I recommend you take the job while you keep applying to other roles. Don’t put it in your linkedin or cv yet as recruiters will see you as a flight risk for wanting to jump ship. But keep applying to see if you can get something above 30k p/y. When you see something better you bounce.

It’s doable. After the Easter holiday all that will be left will be mostly your thesis work which can be done solo/virtually. Unless it’s a 2 year course.

Just see how you can manage till after Easter. You’re almost there.

Deferring ur admission will make you lose all the costs u incurred towards securing this visa. You might be denied entry into the UK if u don’t get approval or extension from ur uni

Covid has opened many companies eyes and many roles can be remote now so don't limit yourself to only Southampton. Sometimes it not even listed on the job that it can be WFH.

I would apply for anything. Then when offer comes you can turn it up or down based on your needs. It even gives you the experience to grow yourself in interview
