Marytess: There’s an 100dollar limit on naira card. Use options like barter by flutterwave, access visa signature card, get a TRUSTED friend or family to pay on your behalf and you send the naira equivalent(the last option is very risky,so you have to observe all due diligence). |

thisdeltagirl: Cost for the 2 yrs program $27,000 CAD Money for your feeding and accommodation for 2 years would be $20,000CAD if school is outside the Quebec province, but if it is in Quebec you will need $22,000CAD for the 2years. Together with all this add the cost of your flight ticket to Canada. So if we add all the cost above assuming your school is outside Quebec it would amount to; $27,000 + $20,000 + $1,000 (flight ticket)= $48,000CAD so you will need to show at least about $48,000 to $50,000 as proof of fund ,but mind you the more the better. Even after showing all these you will need to provide documents showing how the money came about and also convince the consular officer that the money would be available to you throughout your study. You will also need to convince the office why you want to study your program of choice and lastly your home ties. If you can clear all this hurdles you have got a chance. Good luck. |

thisdeltagirl: 1. Only her savings is not sufficient for your tuition and living expenses 2. Piggyvest funds might not be accepted as proof of funds. To stand a better chance, I will say you should print that piggyvest statement and submit as personal asset, use the fund in it to pay your one year tuition fee ( 5 million naira). You will still submit the piggyvest statement as if the fund is still there Your sister's $21,000, tax clearance, employment details will stand for living expenses and proof of ability to pay next year tuition. 3 Likes |

Hello Jacklens 1. Every student that isn't a Canadian citizen or whose parents are not permanent residents need a study permit to study in Canada... 2. You don't have to be a Canadian or a permanent resident before you can apply for SOWP . So far you have a status (international student) in Canada you can apply for SOWP for your partner outside Canada... Peace Jacklens: |

Hello Vonvictor The new portal is just to simplify the process of the regular portal.. e.g The absence of IRCC forms So far so good, we have just had very few applicants who got their PPR via the new portal, so we cant ascertain which gets a faster response.. But personally, I don't wanna believe there is anything like speed when it comes to both portals, the goal is to apply and get your PPR.. Peace VonVictor: 4 Likes |

RelaxingEnd: Nobody talks about NSE anymore and theres no particular portal for it. Its still the same portal everybody is using just that you have an IELTS abd MBS attached to your application. If you have ielts and MBS, please go ahead and submit. But it does not guarantee approvals. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by RelaxingEnd: 8:05pm On Feb 17, 2022 |
Anon123: Thanks for your reply. I could get MBS but haven't written IELTS. I have a letter from my Nigerian school to show English proficiency. I don't know if that would suffice. What do you think? |

Good evening everyone, I recently just joined this forum. Got my visa refusal on the 14th of February and I'll welcome any pointers as I reapply. Thank you for your interest in studying in Canada. After careful review of your study permit application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds: • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your travel history. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status. |
