We all know the pendulum is swinging towards Osinbajo. He has a herculean task winning primary but the general election would be much more easier for for him.

Since winning general election would be much of concern to APC faithful and a prerequisite for retaining power, supporting Osinbajo becomes necessary and a bitter pill even to those that support Tinubu or other candidates in APC

Na physics practical de worry u too?

Can we allow the Igbos produce the next president at least for the sake of equity and fairness?

Tinubu and Osibanjo should rescind their decision and support a president from the Igbo extarction.

You know one thing I like about the Northerners? They know they have done their 8years and so it is the South and from the SE. But guess what, they will never push it. They will rather allow SE, SS and SW to slug it out by doing so these 3 region will be fighting themselves without knowing it and then dissafection within the South will deepen. That is the Northern political calculation.

To prove them wrong is for SW and SS who have done 8 and 6 years respectively to come together and support someone from SE so power can go back North and then come back South and by then the SE and SS will support the SW because it will now be their turn.

But of course, even though the SW understand this Northern game, greed and hatred for Igbo will not allow them. They will rather dabaru the whole thing believeing they have the vote of the North.

But this their double standard and way of impunity against the Igbos will fail them soon and by then it will be too late.

Your analysis is rational but not political. Every party have their structure. If PDP that is dominant in the south east is not considering Igbo candidates, it’s unlikely APC that has very low base in south east would consider such. Would be a disaster to APC cos anytime any day, South East=PDP

I understand you. Most people do not have problem with Osinbajo because Asiwaju has consistently taken the blame for Osinbajo and has acted as shield for him.

—Asiwaju made lot of political enemies in life in his quest for building a formidable political structure that can get the SW bloc to the center. Osinbajo was a political nobody before Asiwaju brought him forward as number 2. Osinbajo is a beneficiary of this while Asiwaju continue to amass political enemies.

—The bullion van issue that people blame Asiwaju for is also because he is the machinery responsible for delivering Buhari/Osinbajo in the West. All he did was for Buhari/Osinbajo to remain in power but you will never see anyone blame Osinbajo for the van and yet he’s one of the beneficiaries.

—If Fulani herdmen strike any state in the SW, people out rightly blame Tinubu and reprimand him for not speaking up. We have Osinbajo a number 2 citizen that have ears in the security architecture not taking any blame. No one blames him because Asiwaju is like his savior that continues to be crucified for his sins.

—The economy is bad currently and you see people blaming Tinubu for bringing Buhari but they never blame Osinbajo who is the number 2 man at the helm of affairs and even supervise those economic council. We all say it was because Buhari did not give him power to operate but we blame Tinubu a man that dosent even have the power Osinbajo had for the same.

All what I’m saying is that Asiwaju has always taken all the bullet for Osinbajo and that is why Osinbajo has less enemies and Asiwaju enemies are in their multitude.

Lastly, I will prefer Asiwaju to give us Fashola or Osinbajo for 2023 presidency but if he insists he wants to contest, I think him and Osinbajo should go head to head at the primaries, anyone that wins will earn our support for the actual election.

Did I hear you say take blame?
Hope you are not Lai Mohammed?

Tinubu has been quite for 7years
Bullion van was his own doing for selfish reasons, Buhari/ Osinbajo got vote from all over Nigeria not Lagos alone. Bullion van was not used when they were in not in power in 2015 but was used when they were in power in 2019, what for?

The only potential presidential candidate I’m interested in is fashola...Osinbajo or Amaechi won’t be bad alternatives tho...

I don’t have much against Tinubu he’s a resourceful person and has put in a lot of work to be where he’s today in Nigerian political affairs and space..like him or not he is a politician with loads of influence and power despite his failings and inadequacies....but I won’t want him for presidency simply cos he seems physically incapable...he’s not in a good health, not necessarily too old but he’s old won’t want a 70 something year old succeeding Buhari,a likely senile Buhari who’s govt is been run by others I want an active, vibrant, smart and energetic youthful president he has too many baggage and his fixation on the presidency seat reeks of desperation...he has made enough money gained enough power and influence he should stick to his kingmaker/godfather role and take care of his health.

Also don’t wanna hear any of that Atiku nonsense that one is mostly interested In pilfering and looting more of our national resources and share the bounty with his cronies!plus dude his damn old with failing health those old crone should Fvck outta here and go have a seat.

I don't actually have problem with asiwaju, all what you said are facts! but as it is now, the odds do not favour tinubu, either we like it or not buhari is a big stakeholder in who will succeed him, I think buhari body language favours osinbajo, moreover the VP is a smart man, just imagine amosun, fayemi or any other over ambitious politician in osinbajos' shoe they would have turned tinubu to a rag, you will not even be hearing tinubu's name again, because they will use the office of the VP to suppress him, instead this guy (osinbajo) remains steadfast and loyal, both to asiwaju and buhari, asiwaju should just reason it and allow him, moreover in a normal democracy and party politics, osinbajo has right of first refusal been the sitting vice president, like I always say, let's wait and see, it might not be osinbajo, but it will surely be a south westerner for apc candidate. Thank you

You are very correct.

You can see that I also said Asiwaju should please concede to one of Osinbajo or Fashola.

But if he insists he will run, then Osinbajo has the full right to contest the primary election and if he could defeat Asiwaju , that will mean we have a new leader on the bloc and we should all support him.

Like you said, he has been a very distinguished gentleman and even with how people are trying to pitch him against Asiwaju, he has always uphold that Omoluabi principle so he has every right to contest against Tinubu if he so wishes.

When I kept on telling people that Osinbajo has a great appeal even amongst the South South and East they doubted. If yorubas are smart they'd rather push for Osinbajo than the tinubu they're making so much empty noise about who has no nationalistic appeal. I maintain that an average south south or easterner would rather vote for a stone than vote tinubu. I'm not yoruba but I can close my eyes and vote Osinbajo a thousand times over for president

You are not saying anything new! If Osinbajo is the candidate, people will vote for him...no one is disputing that, the issue is "IF"! However his path to the ticket is unclear. First he has Tinubu in front of him and like I have told you before, if Tinubu doesnt get the ticket, there is no guarantee it automatically goes to Osinbajo or will be zoned to the SW. Tinubu is the only reason the party may say give it to SW based on his role in the formation of APC, but if Tinubu is knocked out (which is an increasing possibility) then the SW has no moral argument except the continuity argument. Fact is (like I have said to you before) of the 24 years since the return to democracy, SW has been in Aso rock for 16 years either as president or VP.

Like I have told you I am not betting on a Tinubu presidency anymore but I wouldnt be surprised if Amaechi ends up the APC candidate for the following reasons.

1. he represents the New PDP faction of the APC especially now that Saraki has gone back to his home.
2. he was Buhari's campaign DG twice
3. Amaechi Kills 2 birds with 1 stone, he is from the SS and he is ibo. it will kill any agitations from SS who didnt complete their tenure and SE who have never been in Aso rock. Considering the current divisions in the country, Amaechi makes a lot of sense!!!!
4.The North are wary of giving it to the Ibos but Amaechi is a safe "Ibo" man. He hasnt got the typical ibo mindset, so he is a safe pair of hands.
5. he has been Loyal and is unlikely to rock the boat.
6. he has proven that he is capable..he is undoubtedly Buhari's best performing minister!!!

Amaechi could be the Norths answer to SE in the way Obasanjo was to the SW. Someone the North can trust, while not the candidate the region wants, nonetheless the region can no longer complain and say they are marginalized. He (just like OBJ) is the kind of southerner that will be president without being an "ethnic" president and thats what the North wants when it comes to southern presidents.

You argue like a child, I don't have time for argument, I have told you either you like it or not, a South westerner will pick apc ticket, if its not so, you can then quote me after! and I will respect you thereafter the primaries, I am a busy person, and also I like people that see a coin as a two side object, Amaechi ko Amaechi ni! you better go and sit down with your Amaechi stuff, is only a kid that will think a party will be ready to loose a 5 sitting governor to the opposition because of someone that has no electoral value, forget about that stuff that buhari will give him the 12mlion votes in the North, buhari doesn't care, that explains why he raised the the hands of an opposition party candidate in the last election.

Lol you think all these guys will vote Osinbajo? They are just trying to cause animosity between Tinubu and Osinbajo so that both won’t succeed .

That same man will thumbprint for Atiku in PDP even if Osinbajo is on the ballot. Forget about all this oju aiye these guys are doing.

Either Tinubu or Osinbajo, anyone of them that eventually emerge will need the cooperation of the other or else none of them can mount that presidency seat.

You are smart lol

They want APC to give a weaker man the ticket, so PDP can bully him at the polls.

Your is not important, your vote is useless as you yourself. You gave the same vote to clansman, Jonathan. in 2015 and 2019, what was the outcome? Infact, your entire tribesmen cast their vote for the same Jonathan in 20i5 and 2019,what was the outcome? What is your political strength? They don't even place any value on you in your PDP , senseless old fool.

Your postulation is good.

But presidency is not a come and take issue. Daily the Igbos abuse other tribes, call them names, no sensible party, not even their beloved PDP will field them, because where will the votes come from? From the slaves, or Fulani, or Afonja? Pray tell.

Igbos are worse at politics and they will continue to pay the price until they have sense.

Senate President, Vice president, or speakership is by 'appointment' and power sharing, they can get that.

The way you guys criticize Igbos amazes me. Igbos are pdp are have always been loyal to pdp. How does that make them worse at politics? Was Jonathan not from SS? What political base did SS have to win presidency? Jonathan simply enjoyed the goodwil of his party that is made up of northerners largely coupled with the fact the fact that he was the ruling president at the time.

Igbos are the more abused than any other tribe right from before the civil war. And that is why you see agitations from SE. Count all the federal parastals in Nigeria and tell me two that is headed by Igbo if there is one at all. Who in that position won't agitate?

Igbos are not worse in politics. The only challenge there is that politics is a game of numbers and the north has more population going by offficial statistics. So they are using it to their advantage.

Apart from vice presidency, tell me how the west have benefited from their romance with the north, at least going by this present administration? If there is any region that is playing backward politics, then I think sw is it.

Bro the determinant of Tinubu’s fate will be PDP presidential candidate.

If PDP mistakenly fields Atiku on that ticket, I can assure you that you only have two option.

—Vote Tinubu OR abstain from voting.

Also, if Osinbajo gets the ticket and Tinubu fail to work with him, Osinbajo will be roundly defeated by Atiku. The reason is because to win elections you need political structure and people on ground. Osinbajo has non of those and his only structure is the one Tinubu give to him.

Political success is not only about “I love this candidate and will vote him”, you need both financial power and solid political structure backing you.

—The generals backed OBJ in 1999
—2003 OBJ himself is a deity and he played on Atiku to own all the structures
—2007 Yar’adua used Obasanjo structure
—2011 Jonathan used incumbency and OBJ structure
—2015 Buhari used his own structure and that of Tinubu
—2023 won’t be different. If you don’t have people strong on their own like Buhari, then you need solid political base and alliance to win the presidency

I don't know why you guys pushing for Tinubu don't realise that there is always and end to every empire. No matter how you wish, the end of every political carrier who fail to quit the stage when the ovation is loud is disaster.

Tinubu deserves it, he has toiled and laboured for it at the expense of his health, but that doesn't meant others are not entitled to it as well.

When you look at event since 2015, it is obvious that things have not been rosy for Jagaban.

From the cunning maneuver of Saraki to become SP, to the inconclusive declaration of Kogi election election due to the demise of the governorship candidate, to the sudden elevation of Yahaya Bello. Similarly, the removal of Adam Oshiomohle and the defeat of Tinubu candidate in Edo election are all pointer that Tinubu has reached the peak, and any further movement would be on a downward direction.

Again, to suggest that Tinubu would not support Osinbajo in case he won the primary is an idea Tinubu himself can't dream of.

Tinubu has no choice than to work for Osinbajo, as his directive would be vehemently rejected by SW if he attempt that, and that would nail his politically relevance in SW.
