Viruses: You dont need ILR, but you need to have a visa with at least a couple of years to go on it, i.e. the entity giving you the mortgage needs to be sure that you are likely to remain in the UK to earn money and be paying it. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Iyeura: It’s simple, you can go online now to get her an Airbnb apartment close to her school. Get the apartment with her name and send the details to her. You can do that before she lands. Also there are people on here who can give you pounds for naira. You can as well set that up for her so that immediately she gets to the Airbnb apartment she can get a SIM card and open a UK bank account. Once the account is opened, you can then complete the transaction with the person to pay the money to her account. The rest she can continue by coming to nairaland to read for herself as it will help her if she get the information herself. 5 Likes |

Aprokodaughter: You have a nasty attitude and I'm pretty sure you wouldn't dare talk to people here in person the way you do online. You don't have to contribute. It's very ok to pass. Please don't address me anymore. Thank you 23 Likes 1 Share |

canadaishome: Firstly, Congratulations to your spouse on getting a job with sponsorship Whatever you do, try and finish your studies. Either of you can be with the kids, put them in daycare on days she is working/days you have to attend lectures depending on who the kids are with. It’s better you spend a bit on childcare till you both can be together than abandoning your studies which you already paid full tuition for. You stated your course started last year so you should be finishing sometime this year, leaving it when you are more than half way through doesn’t seem like the best thing to do if you ask me |

Pls make sure you have done your research well before asking your question including google search. Nairaland is also on google. Do not come her to seek validation. Do what you feel is best for you. In my own opinion I do not think Aprokodaughter did any wrong prior to the outburst. Our yoruba elders will say why will anyone want to thow away the soup in the palm because of the one at back of the palm AKALAMAGBO: |

Nairaland should really have a mute button....smh. Good evening to everyone. I have a question...hoping someone can provide more clarity for me. I'm hoping to get on the property ladder asap and was playing around with the mortgage calculator on rightmove. I noticed something curious- if a house is 600k and deposit is 10%, monthly mortgage could be circa 2500 but doubling the deposit to 20% only marginally reduces the monthly payment to like 2200 (these figures are not exact please). What gives? |

You're talking it too far Brother. Irrespective of people remarks, I think we still need to be objective and respect their concerns indiscriminately. This forum is meant to help people out with broader ideas and we're here to support them with our wealth of resourceful knowledge and years of living in UK not to oppress people! God bless you all amen. 2 Likes |
