He has to play at a bigger league and be better in order to replace the players already at a bigger league. If you want to replace ekong or akpoguma at the big 5, sign for a big 5 team let’s access your performance
mind you I never advocated for him to replace any of the more experienced heads we hv already in the cb position but said he will be a good cover as well as understudy to the veterans

Playing in Scotland is not that bad especially when one is playing week in week out for one of the traditional clubs not only in Scottish football but Britain as well.

He is already attracting scouts from the epl and serie A which implies he is doing well for himself and has the chances of metamorphosing into a dreaded cb in the future

I agree on his career trajectory being upward but I was responding to the individual that insisted on him starting the next game vs Ghana

Just before he left Swansea he turned down multiple offers in the EPL.

He was on near £90k a week in the Championship with Swansea after they got relegated from the EPL. He is now getting possibly an even bigger in payout in Quatar.

His quality has not dropped even if the league he is playing has.
So the amount a player pockets shows his quality?
Be like Dem don hack Komekn's account.

At the expense of who? Remember, a team can only invite 11, 23 or 28 man squad. Dessers, yes but the remaining absolutely No. let them perform at a better league before thinking of the super eagles. Super eagles is a place for the absolute best - No exceptions. We’re not here to do charitable invitation

Maduka Okoye benefitted from charitable invitation and that skyrocketed his career..

Some Nigerian players careers will only skyrocket when they play for the S.E.

Yes he did and we were made to pay for it vs Tunisia. He is young and might end up becoming a legend but there are heavy cons do this charitable invitations

He has always been like that.

Even before EPL was rated the best league I'm the world, he felt they were the best because of the money they offer.

Is it not here he rated the championship better than the Scottish League some years ago because they pay better and not because of the style of play.

Aribo played like an elite KDB today. Two assists, he was behind every Rangers attack.

Bassey is head and shoulders above every CB we have. Pace, strength, awareness, positioning, good on the ball. He has everything needed.
I hope Eguaveon is watching

Despite Moses Simon impressive performance at the afcon, I actually prefer lookman at the Lw position because of consistency and it will be a joy seeing who will own that LW position in the long run

Bassey should be in our team ASAP. If that guy gets to the EPL, he might get snapped up quick because of how good he is. He is better than Omeruo at least, possibly Ekong. He is definitely faster than all our current CBs, although Awaziem and Balogun may have better decision-making and positioning (I haven't compared them enough). From Ekong's videos, he also blended well with the team (Aina, Iwobi and co.)

Anybody remember Kingsley Obiekwu of the gold winning Atlanta'96 squad. Read below.

Credits to Okwuluora.

At Abakpa Motor Park, I saw former Super Eagles Defender Kingsley Obiekwu(Shagari Udoji) loading buses and driving Sienna to Nsukka. I hugged and greeted him then cried like a man. Life can be cruel Yes. He never made it to the highest level Yes but where are his teammates. I will tell Kanu Nwankwo about this. They won Olympics together in Atlanta. Obiekwu last made headline when his younger brother died in the field of play. A NATIONAL HERO, AN IDOL TO MILLIONS, AN OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALLIST. We can help lift him again IF he is willing. That environment is not for him.

Nobody owes him nothing, not Kanu, not anyone. They were all paid for their services both on the national and club sides, so how he spent his money that took him to where he is today is his sole responsibility, and none of his former team mates should be berated for looking away.
