Good day famz sorry for the long wait..Just as I said I was going to start typing again, sadly I dropped my phone a few days back while riding a bike and the screen shattered, I nor get money to go buy original 11promax screen right now, so I’m currently typing from an iPhone6 and to be honest, I wonder how I was able to survive using this phone when it was invoke, well anyway that aside.
The things I really had the idea of talking about, would be really more interesting with pictures to buttress my points properly, but sadly the pictures are in my other phone, and I can’t post any picture with iPhone 6... but I’d do my best to give some updates and then when I can I’ll re edit and add pictures...

One thing I want to talk about, is something we’ve all heard over a thousand times. But I really need to stress this more for use Africans to truly grasp the ideas of what’s going on in the world right now.
And that is.
TECHNOLOGY..
Whoever started the statement tech is the future needs to be paid every single day for the rest of his life..
Not only is tech the future we are currently living in, tech has come to make our lives a lot more easier..
Everyday seeing the advancement these Chinese people are making in tech, gets me sad and happy, Sad that before we think of catching up, they probably would be ten times more than this already, and happy at the fact that I have seen firsthand how simple techs can really improve human productivity and make life a lot simpler and easier.. I wanted to create a thread, which I think I’d still do, for people living in diaspora to talk about reasons why they are scared to relocate back home, but I’ll talk about mine here, one of the reasons I feel weary anytime I think about going back home is the fact that, the simplicity of life I get here I don’t think I can ever find it back home, yes one of the best things I admire about living here is the fact that whatever I’m looking for, there’s a place to find it, i can wake up at any given time, and go wherever I want to go, I can wake up at 4am to go eat and I won’t be scared of nothing, If I don’t feel like going out, I can order whatever I want online and I’ll be delivered in at most 35 minutes, even if you want to travel from one city to another, like let’s say Guangzhou to Shenzhen by 4 am, u can simply open your share a ride app and you’d find a car to take you there safely, roads are clean and well marked, cameras virtually almost everywhere even on highways. I mean I could go on and on, these simple things is really what scares me whenever I think about coming home, how am I even going to cope without light? I can’t even remember the last time I washed clothes with my hands, not cos I’m rich but cos in almost all houses you’d rent here washing machine and Air conditioner is a necessity.. I mean life can be really very easy when the country is actually working

Technology being the forefront of this country’s advancement, another thing worth noting is that, aside the government, the people in this country, are constantly working and thinking of ways to improve their lives, they are constantly thinking of solutions to their problems, and they’ve seen that tech has a lot of solutions to their problems so they’ve chasing all tech ideas with alacrity.. and I think this is one thing we should learn as African, it’s time for us to leave religion and tribalism and start looking for ways to better our lives we have so many problems and for been honest, technology would solve 90 percent of our problems, and in turn it would turn so many young minds into millionaires also, all the government has to do for us is give us stable light, and a lot of things would fall in place, we don’t need to rely on the government for so many things, just give us stable electricity and enabling environment.. that’s all we ask for..

Joohan:

This is unpopular opinion but I got to put it here. Some Asian countries are lightyears ahead of America and all European countries. This is a wonderful initiative. Let me put more effort into gaining admission into any Chinese school.

It's not an unpopular opinion, you're right. The future belongs to the East (Asia), not the west. The Western era has gone by, for good. I'll put it this way.

If I have to invite my alien friends from other planet to earth, I'll take them to a country that would leave them at least impressed, on how far human civilisation can reach. And for that, I'll take them to Japan.

For now, I actually do not know of any country that is as super developed in every way as Japan, and even more interestingly China will overtake Japan because its a brand-new country with technologies that marvels the soul.

If any of you want to make good money, go to Asia. I wonder why Africans still see the west as the place to be. It is not anymore, and I tell you this not from a place of ignorance or bias, but as a world traveler.

Lovely Thread... True, East Asian Countries, particularly, China has come a long way, the leaders there have done an extraordinary job of providing a flourishing enviroment that remarkably result in hundreds of millions of people lifted from poverty - a historic feat. However, whenever i take a look at Africa, it's past, present and somewhat grim future, i would quietly wish leadership could be outsourced - even the most efficient governor in Nigeria would be seen as a joker in China. Put simply, the qualitative Leadership of the CPC is simply in a league of it's own.

Another beautiful tech idea I want to talk about Is Meituan. The Reason I want to talk about this is based on the simple idea that I was told on how it started, and it might be a profitable idea to tech gurus in Nigeria who might be reading this also.
So meituan is a good delivery service who is currently redefining how food is been delivered in China, and has in recent years expanded into so many subsidiaries as well.
So here is the idea I was told, millions of Chinese are very busy people working round the clock and they hardly find time to cook for themselves, which is why there are millions of restaurants and fast food, around every cities in China, if there’s one thing Chinese love to do other than look for money, it is to eat and drink.
And sometimes they get so busy that they don’t even have time to visit restaurants to get food, which was where the meituan idea came in, he needed to find a way to get this food from restaurants and deliver it to these workers without them having to leave their posts, but he didn’t have the much fund or resources to build a standard delivery company, so he built an app instead, the app called meituan, it’s like a mini program embedded inside the WeChat app and though they have their own app too, so what he did was ask restaurants to come register and display their menus on the app, for potential consumers to be able to see and order, but then some of the small restaurants couldn’t also afford to keep delivery guys to help take these ordered food to the consumers, so what meituan did is to also create a platform, just like Uber, were u can simply register to be a delivery guy, if I can afford to buy a small bike.
So people looking to make some small side cash, register to deliver foods with their bikes, and when customer orders food from a restaurant around them, meituan sends them a notification and if they are willing, they accept the trip, go pick the food and deliver to the customer, the restaurants doesn’t have to pay them, meituan charges delivery fee, based on distance, the rider gets his percentage meituan gets their commission, and the restaurants makes more sales. Everyone wins.

When I was told this, the idea seemed so straight and easy, but very smart and necessary, so from ground up that was how a billion dollar company was built, and today, they company has branched into so many subsidiaries like having his own dianping, mobike and few more.
For about over a year now or so, they’ve been experimenting on delivering foods with drones, which is another very smart and crucial initiative.
Currently I think that only works in Shenzhen, cos that’s only where I have found it.
But one sure thing is that, these people are constantly thinking of new ways to improve and make their lives easier via technology.. to understand more, download the 1688 app and go through the catalogue, see for yourself, what these people are inventing every single day. They got to understand that tech has no boundaries and they are definitely exploring it to the fullest.

Thanks.
