Hello all I was refused a study Visa on the basis of invalid yellow card and insufficient fund. I really need a comprehensive step on how I will appeal if I have corrected the listed document |
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by adespecial: 5:38pm On Feb 14, 2022 |
How much was your balance when you submitted? Didn’t you collect the yellow card from airport cos am wondering why they said it’s invalid. Meanwhile I”ll suggest you reapply instead of appealing. harrisonfo: |

Hi people. For SAQA evaluation, if you already have a masters degree, do you need to evaluate your masters and bsc degree certificates with SAQA or you can just choose to evaluate Masters degree alone? Do they require bsc before they can evaluate masters? Also, do you need to send a physical copy to saqa or you can send soft copies of the transcripts and certificates? Thanks |

meetme01: Hi, @meetme01 I have also applied for the e-visa and I am currently at the document upload stage. I would like to know what you did for the flight reservation. I reserved a flight with Air Peace but the reservation lasts only 3 days. If my reservation is expired by the time I upload the document or the embassy goes through it, will it affect my application (ie lead to visa denial)? Is there a way I can get an extended flight reservation? Is it advisable I fill out a new application? or should I proceed with the current application, upload the documents and make payment regardless of the duration of the hold on the ticket reservation? Please advise based on your experience. Thanks. |
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by meetme01: 11:37pm On Feb 16, 2022 |
JUCEleonu: With what I see on the site, you have to start a fresh application. Not sure you can go back. No button. I did mine twice as well. Check all these IATA guys, they know how to fix it. They will collect a token from you. Since its flight reservation, schedule it a month ahead of your departure. I believe if the visa is issued earlier that expected, you can buy the ticket and move. I advise you to ensure your application is filled properly because this time, approval and rejection will be released on time. |

Hi everyone, I have been following the e-visa thread and would love to know if it applies to students as well. Due to the closure of the vfs offices in Lagos and Port Harcourt, can we apply for study visas online too? I saw study visa as one of the choices on the e visa platform so I am confused. Please help me out with clarifications and guidance. Thank you |

meetme01: Hi @meetme01, thanks for the swift response. I'll create a new application as advised... Just to be sure I got what you said, those IATA guys you referred to can help with an extended flight reservation, yeah? Plus can you please help with a link or contact number to any of the IATA guys? My planned time of travel is June/July, so I believe I should be able to get an extended reservation from them, yeah? As an aside... Seeing as you're steps ahead in this e-visa application, can I get your contact number so I can reach out directly to you in the event I need help/guidance on something? Thanks once again. |

Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by meetme01: 6:28pm On Feb 17, 2022 |
JUCEleonu: Sincerely yours, I don't link people when it comes to issues like this to avoid the story that touch. If you sta in Lagos, we have loads of them in Tafewa Balewa Square. June is kinda far for such. A much closer date like April is fair. I'd answer all questions to the best of my knowledge for us all to learn and share ideas. |
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by JUCEleonu: 8:29pm On Feb 17, 2022 |
meetme01: Thanks again... While I totally understand your concerns about such issues, I just feel I'd be susceptible to meeting swindlers if I were to just go asking around for these IATA guys, I'd feel more at ease if there was an office or person I could go straight to. But either way, I will give it a shot...and yeah I stay in Lagos. I will also find out if doing it for a date in June is too far off. 1 Like |

JUCEleonu:bros, your flight reservation can expire the next day. It doesn’t matter. No need to pay anybody for flight reservations that would last 3 months or any duration. What the embassy wants to see is a flight itinerary that tallies with when you say you are entering and leaving their country.it can expire before you submit your application sef. Don’t let that bother you. |

cucumbar: I beg to disagree. Maybe this is how it works in SA Embassy. When they ask for itenary, it reveals lots. You have booked a space which you are yet to pay for and can be allocated if you eventually did not pay. There is a code to search to know that you already booked the flight. It reveals the exact time you intend spending in the country The cost as well will be revealed to affirm if the funds available in your statement will be anough for your stay. The same thing with flight reservation is same with hotel reservation. You might not use the flight booked neither not necessarily to stay in the hotel reserved Don't get it twisted. The amount they charge is not much. Even if you have cordial relationship with those IATA guys, you can give then 2K for both reservations |

Hello everyone. I flew from Lagos to abuja to submitted a visitors visa application 2days ago. Thank God I came across this tread if not I would have gone to abuja without booking appointment. I paid 22,500 for vfs appointment online before traveling to abuja and about 11,600 for visa fee , sms charge and courior service, the 11,600 must be via POS, You must pay with your ATM card and you won't be allow to submit your application without an appointment letter with you. my last visit to South Africa was January 2017, when arrived I applied for visa extension but I got denied , I was told to leave the republic within 10days but I left after 2 months of denial, I hope that won't affect this application I submitted. My uncle is a South African citizen, so he sent me an invitation letter with his South Africa ID card(with police stamp), he also attached his utility bill and bank statement even doe I stated on my introduction letter that I will take full responsibility of my expenses. Im a business man so I have a good bank Acct inflow, my 6 months inflow was about 90m with a closing balance of 2.5m. I also summitted my business CAC , introduction letter from my company ( I am the CEO ) and myself introduction letter, a copy of my previous SA visa, bank reference letter, colored copy of my original yellow card from the health ministry, flight reservation, 2 copy's of passport photographs , my international passport, I didn't need hotel reservation because my uncle stated on the invitation letter that I will be staying in his residence during my stay. I arrange all documents myself, didn't pay 1 kobo to any agent. I hope I get the visa, I will be back here to tell you guys what's up. |

Where did you get your yellow card from? I am sure the yellow card came from your agent. hold your agent responsible. all yellow card from the ministry of health could be verified online. scan the barcode on that yellow card and it will take you to the website for verification. harrisonfo: |
