I think that will be a poor move for him.

By this time next year, Newcastle will be able to afford the Manes and Mahrezs of this wolrf, meaning any mistake Moses makes will see him replaced easily.

At 26 he cannot make a transfer mistake.

There are dozens of teams out there who need him and will treat him like a king. Why be a squad player when you can be an undroppable somewhere else?
Newcastle and Leeds are the most serious team after him with the former ready to meet Nantes asking price with a 100k pounds weekly wages on the table for him

If he is good and confident on his potentials he has nothing to be scared of to battle for a place in the team if he is signed

Or because of playing time he should join a lesser team that will pay him less and may end up being relegated at the end of the season?

There is nothing like transfer mistake with Moses Simon joining Newcastle

Be a squad player at Newcastle ? You must be a joker

Tell me the better winger at Newcastle than Simon ,maybe apart from maximin?

Napoli, Roma are not smaller teams, but cannot pay him 100 a week.

Both are begging for a right winger, especially Roma.

This Newcastle just like Manchester city in 2010s are looking for short-term plugs, it's never a good long-term move.

maybe you didn't understand him.... Newcastle now has their own sugar daddy which means they may start splashing cash on Dem Mahrez,Salah kind of player...even Maximin may struggle with game the depending on who the club signs. What if Moses goes there and got benched... that's the transfer mistake he was talking about

Calm down with the choice of word, brother.

Newcastle spent 100m this winter window just to survive relegation. They will be fighting for Europe next year.

Moses Simon at 30M max will be discarded for a Dembele-esque signing after a year. A more marketable brand.

napoli and Roma u mentioned are not interested in him

Clubs interested in Simon are Lille,Newcastle and Leeds with the two English sides very serious in getting him but Newcastle ready to meet Nantes asking price and offered him bigger wages

I doubt if Moses will flop in the epl because he is a team player and hard worker as well

If you want to be among the best you have to play and battle for shirt with the best

It doesn't work like that, brother.

Being linked by the media doesn't mean these are the only clubs interested.

And I am not saying Roma and Napoli are interested, I'm just saying these are the example of clubs bigger than Newcastle who are in need of wingers.

Dribbling is more of skill than technique.

Odegaard and De Bryune are two of the best technicians in England but aren't proficient dribblers.

How you dribble determines your technique, not if you can dribble.

Another word for skill is technique.
It is not how a player prosecutes a skill that determines the player's technique, but the type of footballing skills the player brings to his game, the number of times the player utilises those skills and the accuracy or precision of implementation.

If technique is just how a player performs a skill, then it will just be styles that are unique to the player and it will not be possible to grade a player or compare players in terms of technique.

Take for instance, the passing technique, to determine a players passing technique, calculation is made based on the type of passing skills the player is able to execute in a game, passing skills such as short passes, long passes (long balls), chipped passes etc, the number of times the player was able to complete those passes, and the accuracy.

You don't need to be a fantastic dribbler to be high in technique, because dribbling is just one of the techniques in football and not the only technique.

Hopefully his contract wasn't too strict on that with excessive buy out clause.

Unpopular opinion: On the basis of this season performance and considering the level of league that our players perform, Emmanuel dennis has been super eagles best All round Forward (this season) and should be the first name on our 11.

EPL clubs hardly use buyout clause, just offer them enough money and they’ll do business

We can all agree no serious talented player will want to play for Nigeria. We can only have the English rejects. Conversely , if we develop our local league these half talented English borns will beg to play for the SE. We have mad talents in the Nigerian streets, trust me. I used to trade with my cousin at Mushin Ladipo spare parts market and we have groups of boys who formed clubs and played to the amazement of the whole crowd. My guy , see small boys wey dey knack ball like nothing you 'd never seen. That's why I laugh when people are hyping these English talents...its an insult to our God given genetics!
Same thinking that prompts people who say we should go to the riverine area to get swimmers for the Olympics.

Football has moved beyond the streets. Can't you guys see? There's no Maradona in the streets no more. Footballers are groomed in the academies. Football is now corporate. Corporate and street don't go together

I won't like Simon to work with a coach like Mourinho at Roma, he would turn him to a wingback for sure.
