Nigeria only needs restructuring and investment in human development before building useless flyovers and white elephant projects. Your solution for a communist dictatorship is actually stupid...in a communist dictatorship you're practically a property of the government.

For example, corpers who studied civil engineering, Architecture, quantity surveying,Mechanical engineering ,Buildings,welding, electrical engineering,etc can be provided with equipment and posted or assigned to build specific road as service to the nation. we already have corpers doing small projects like water projects and other minor developments . we dont have to borrow any money . We can do the same with agriculture by assigning and corpers who studied agriculture and geology .

we can also implement mandatory community service for prisoners to accomplish some heavy duty task.

Benevolent dictator is what Nigeria currently needs, we are too stubborn, we need someone that will first be benevolent in his dictatorship to restore our senses, then we can practice 75% socialism and 25% capitalism. Yes, many communist countries built nice things...but they either used forced labour, or poorly paid labour.

Mass housing is a nice concept until you realize that the workers who build these things want to be paid, and at the market rate...which means that you have to either

1.Raise the money via heavy taxes

2.Force people to live 'poor' to afford the labour costs.

All communist countries eventually collapsed due to running into debt.

The reason why 'capitalisim' works sadly...is because people want to be paid at the prices they negotiate. Communisim does not allow that.

Do u take them seriously? Chicago, South Central and all projects in the US and recently the UK is a good example. High rises for poor people in thousands is a bad idea, the US government started demolishing them since the early 2000s for lower density.
