I don't know if you consider constructive objective criticism to mean Hate and denigration and a form of quasi tribalism.

If you say KC is among the best in the world at finishing ( shooting) there has to be commensurate return, outcome delivery all reflected in goals.

How can you call someone among the best in the world and he has scored 2 goals this season out of 15 games on the EPL.

How do you then say among the best in the world at finishing ❓How did you arrive at that conclusion.

Goal per minute ratio, Iheanacho has been among the best in the world for the past 2-ish years. The stats speak for themselves.

I will rate him ahead of Zaidu tho. Calvin’s offensive foray is a pleasure to watch. And he’s defensively solid as well. But I will hold my judgment until I see him play for the Super Eagles.

my four wingers for Ghana will be
Lookman
Simon
Chuks
Dennis

Ejuke should be excused for now

Ejuke should not be excused. His dribbling makes him an eccentric player, and you need eccentric players to form a balanced squad. I would not drop him for the same reason I would not drop Onuachu and Nacho.

By the way, Ejuke is a really good player, he didn't get enough gametime at the AFCON because Simon was excellent and Eguavoen was biased towards Chuks. Don't dismiss him so early, we have seen what he can do on a good day.

He is better than Zaidu. His raw pace and crossing ability are on Zaidu's level, but his football intelligence, recovery and attacking prowess is way way beyond anything we have now.

Hmm. I really don’t rate Zaidu Sanusi that high tbh. I mean, Zaidu is way better than Collins but I don’t think he’s good going forward.

And I have watched all his games with the Super Eagles and watched many of his games with Porto as well.

I still rate Zaidu higher

Olise, isn’t he an AM? I think we’ve excess talented players in that position already, if you ask me.

O pari

I would add Olise if possible, as well as Ovie ( barring injury)

I knew Rodgers plan was to bench nacho for daka

Someone who helped you last season when vardy was misfiring ,nacho scored about 19 goals last season but suddenly you purchased daka to bench him .

Na iheanacho I blame and not Rodgers

“The point is that Nigeria cannot reach it’s potential without the local league. So if the local conditions are not good enough, then all it means is that Nigeria cannot progress. We will not be able to reach full potential without local academies & leagues. It will be impossible to do so by leveraging the European networks.

No country has ever succeeded at the highest levels of football without local coaches & at least some local players, and local football philosophies. What we have now is a stop gap but let us not delude ourselves that it is anything more than a temporary band aid.

A country cannot build a sustainable team based on simply convincing ex u21 and ex u17 players from other countries to play. It is impossible but we keep deceiving ourselves” ~ TopeA8

The last time we won Afcon, we had 6 hungry/eager for success home based players in the squad
Probably more before that too
Funny we will be going to World Cup with complete 23 foreign based squad smiley
Remember Gabaski the best keeper of Afcon is home grown
This is hogwash if the argument is that we cannot win without homegrown players. That is sophistry. Teams win or lose not because they have home grown players but because they have quality players.

Spain for so many years were not so much a force to reckon with even though their national team had local players. From 2008, that changed due to the abundant convergence of quality players in the team.

Should we build our local league? Yes very well sef, but for me it's more of a matter of creating jobs and economic opportunities than purely footballing reasons.

Ejuke is likely to be dropped. He's not shown that he's ripe for national team football.

GOAL: our own Ademola Lookman draws Leicester City levels against Wolves. 1-1.

Only God knows why Iheanacho doesn’t get to start ahead of Daka, even with Vardy out. Someone needs to talk to Brenden Rodgers.

He plays on the wing for Crystal palace but you will notice exceptional players, almost combine two positions into one.

He will play like a LM left sided Midfielder then he may change from traditional winger to inverted winger. But in addition he has a very good work rate putting in crucial tackles and interceptions. All crowned with End product.
