Igbo Presidency 2023 Election. Alignment And Networking Will Do It. by peacekante: 7:48pm On Feb 21, 2022 |
2023 Election. ALIGNMENT AND NETWORKING WILL DO IT. Just like every other tribe and region, the igbos especially in south east have every right to contest next year presidency. But there is a Zoning formula in the country where power is to be shared between North and south. These zoning formula is not written in the constitution of the country. But it is a gentleman agreement in the national parties of the country. It was started by the PDP and the APC embraced it when it was formed. However, the PDP zoning was tempered with by ex president Jonathan when he contested the 2011 and 2015 election after the demise of president Yard adua(a northerner). Meanwhile, these all but confirmed that zoning exist in presidential elections and also state elections, no one in Nigeria can win election without aligning with other regions of the country. While it is confirmed that APC will zone south and PDP look undecided, it remain to be seen which region in south has done their home work especially analyzing their SWOT analysis to get the presidency. Currently, the south east are banking on equity, fairness and justice to get the presidency. Though this is to a large extent true, it is unfortunate that many igbo leaders still think threatening and blackmailing the country will give them the presidency. Ohaneze, south east elders have been threatening to get the presidency or else. The Ohaneze recently said in quote " igbos must be giving the presidency else", . Let us look at it. Election is about your numerical strength. As it stands, the south east has the least voting strength. This is a weakness the region is supposed to look into and work on. Obviously there is an OPPORTUNITY to get the presidency next year, how far has the south east aligned with other regions to get the presidency? One thing I know for sure is that power is never given. It is taken. Have the south east leaders tried to networked with leaders in South west, and North to get the presidency? Have they gone on foreign trips to meet World leaders the way northerners did in 2015 and south west did in 1999? What have they done to increase the voting strength of the region? To many people in south east, alignment means licking hausa fulani, yoruba and every other tribes ass. But alignment means reaching out, building bridges and political networks. As it stands, as much as I want an igbo president, south west are the favorites to get it. And if igbos should eventually get it, that Buhari and Tinubu we love to hate is the only one who could make it possible especially in APC(story for another day) 3 Likes |

I have always supported Alliance for Democracy, Action Congress , Action Congress of Nigeria and All Progressive Congress after the good old story my grandfather told me about Awolowo's Action Group the first set of progressives I know APC ward Party chairman, Local government party chairman and State Party chairman... My constitute Federal Representative is Hon Akin Alabi is APC, one of Our Senator representing the State is APC, My region has 5 APC Governors out of 6 Governors.. How then will Ohaneze Ndigbo and Mkpurinmiri youths believe suddenly after 22 years of Democracy supporting Progressive, their threat and Insult would make me Go under the sun or rain to Vote for PDP or an Ibo man especially when I have only gotten insulted and cursed for supporting who I believe their ideology . 3 Likes |

Stop using style to write about "Igbo presidency" while using another moniker to reply yourself so as to give some imaginary importance to that una worthless presidiot crap position. Expel Igbos from Nigeria using your National Assembly since y'all always claim majority votes. Mooh247:That's because you think they need to support APC for the Presidency. Igbos have nothing to do with APC and will use PDP, their party to achieve Igbo Presidency. Igbo already have a frontline candidate: Pius Anyim, and Northerners are losing out e.g. Kwankwaso talking of dumping PDP and Tambuwal making comments suggesting he knows the pendulum has swung. Come September everybody will vote an Igbo candidate in peace, and Nigeria will move forward. PDP's candidate is Nigeria's next President. Buhari doesn't care about 2023 if you don't know. 2 Likes 1 Share |

peacekante: Good points you have raised. I’ve also noted it before that our elders are not doing enough except they are moving without the press sha. I’ve not heard they met with OBJ. I’ve not heard they met with IBB. I’ve not heard they met Abdulsalami. I’ve not heard they met Sardauna of Sokoto. I’ve not heard they met the Alaafin of Oyo. I’ve not heard they met with the Ooni of Ife. These are people they should table the Igbo matter. Conscientize with them to speak to their people to allow the Igbos take their turn. It’s not by making threats and throwing tantrums. 2 Likes 1 Share |
