No wonder the Bible says judgement will begin in the church, if Christians that doesn't read the bible but read their so call pastors alone, know the Genesis of tithe, then no Christian will ever think of paying tithe. These business men in the name of pastors, single out only tithe from numerous mosiac laws and command their gullible members to obey only for their selfish interest. Did Jesus Christ pay tithe, did the Apostles pay tithe or commanded anyone to pay tithe? It's a lie. Tithing is NOT for Christians, it was for the Jews and Levitical priesthood in the old testament - the old covenant. The priests there had no other jobs and were to exculssively work in the Temple. Therefore, they were to live on tithes that were brought to the temple. We are in the new covenant, under grace in Jesus Christ. The Bible commands us to give today, willingly and cheerfully as God has blessed us(2Corin. 9:6-9), NOT tithe. All Christians today are a chosen generation, a Royal priesthood (1Peter 2:9).

These so called men of God should STOP misinterpreting and twisting the word of God to suit them

We pay tithes to support the house of God. Here we can see that tithe paying goes back as far as the OT with Jacob before he became Israel.

However, I don't believe anyone should be forced or threatened to pay tithes. God doesn't force us to be saved or obey Him, so our pastors shouldn't either.

Where in all the teachings of Christ was tithe ever mentioned?
Christ preached love and free giving. Paul in all his letters to the early churches NEVER for once spoke about TITHE. And you all never get to understand why.

You decide to import a law which was created to ensure the Levites were taken care of, law that was only significant before Christianity started. But for your own selfish greedy agenda, you turn it into law in your own Christianity.

There is no such thing as tithe. It was an early day arrangement for the purpose of taking care of the Levites (as they were not allowed to engage in secular work) and the poor.

Why don't they preach about the part that says you should go to your place of your choice and spoil yourself, household etc, with your tithe, and not to forget the poor? Ref: Deuteronomy 14: 23 - 29.

The same Bible clarified that it is only when you do such things as: giving to the hungry, cloth the unclad, care for the sick etc, that you can truly give back in appreciation to God.
