nope 10 to 12hrs on 9 litres(#1500 fuel). With my 1.5hp LG inverter AC switched on, i get about 7-8 hours not sure.

Yesterday I put my new generator (TEC hustler4000ms) to test the fuel consumption.
I ran
One 1.5hp hisense Inverter A/C
One 55inches Hisense TV
One Medium Size Hisense Fridge
One Lg home theater system
2x40w Fan


I got 12hrs for 10L. Noise was low and okay despite the load.

Hello pls when my lister gen is on, it will refuse to produce light until I I plug heavy appliances.
What may be the cause

Please seniors in the house, any review of this gen. Saw it in a store and it was extremely low noise.

I just got a Sumec Fireman ECO 8990ES for 330K in Abuja.
I searched for the remote controlled model but couldn't get.
It's 6.7Kva and 6.1Kw(running watts) rated.
So far its been good, interestingly I don't have serious load on it yet( Just 1.5Hp AC, Deep freezer and refrigerator TV and Other electronics) as I got it to use for now and should cater for future expansion, because presently I just use one AC per time even with AEDC.
Pls What are the best practices to ensure I continue enjoying this machine?.
Also with the nature of how it would be used for now affect fuel consumption? I'm often seeing arguments as the load on the gen determines its consumption.

Good day guys, please what will make a small tiger generator (I pass my neighbor) go off after 2 or 3 hours of use. Put it on again it will start normal only to go off after a few minutes. The next day it will last for another 2-3 hours before it goes off again. There is enough oil in the gen. Thanks.

I suspect poor oil quality. Do you buy those road side oil to mix with your fuel?

For Longevity,
Ensure proper maintenance culture such as regular oil change every 50hrs or Twice in a month, I follow the later. Oil is expensive . I recommend Total 20w50 or Sae 40 depends of your Generator recommendation. Check manual.
Cleaning of Air filter at every 50hrs usage.
Change of spark plug once a month depending on your usage.
Lastly, you're running a 6000w Gen, Your total load should not exceed 4500W. Gives room for the generator to breathe and ensure longevity. I leave the rest to the professionals.

The highest load I can even do combined is 3500W. Interestingly I RARELY!!, use both AC simultaneously. Normal load I believe is just approx 2200W. Any idea of this in anyway impacts on fuel consumption?

Considering the capacity of the Generator, The fuel consumption will be high. I had to switch from 5kva Generator to 3.75k because my load doesn't exceed 2000w. The 5kva was sucking fuel and it's just too big for less than 2000w running load. The 3.75 was exactly what I needed as the fuel consumption was minimal. Take time to calculate your fuel consumption and see if it's pocket friendly or not.

Okay Nice, oh well would take time to look at it, usually we do have electricity worst case 18hrs but recently, like two weeks ago it became terrible that we barely have 6hrs daily. Funny enough immediately I got it, I've not used it beyond 4hrs as our light became better .
Decided to get this size for today and future also, so I wouldn't be pressed to get something bigger and wouldn't be having to switch of a device for another. Anyways let's see what the coming days look like, Hope it serves its name like the accolades it been getting.

Yes, I do. Though my dealer usually buys these 25L oil to retail. I noticed this when I bought from another source who I was not very sure of how they get theirs. I will be more careful of the oil now. Thanks.

Most of those fake oil turn to wax like substance and hinders the working of the gen. It Will be acting as if it is overheating. Will work well when cool.
If wax like bye product have accumulated much, then there may be need to open n clean around the piston as mere change to better oil may not get the desired result

Changed the oil to a better quality oil and the gen ran for more than 4 hours without any issue. Thanks so much.

When it's hot you don't need to close the choke, leave it opened. Simply put, don't adjust the choke position when the engine is hot.

You have been stressing the gen with that pump. If you must use it to pump, increase the firing speed.

I did that but still same thing, it got to a stage the exhaust pipe showed fire I just stop it make I no set house on fire.

I bought my gen Sumec fireman rugged.3.1Kva 2016 .I did not experience any issue Wit the gen.until 3months ago when it started giving the low oil signal light .
The engineer I called told me the rings need to be changed

Hello house- I recently got a thermocool generator 10KVA at 650k for my new apartment- it came with remote and all but I haven’t figured out how to start the generator with the remote yet- only thing I noticed is- the generator powers off whenever I press “stop” on the remote- but the remote only blinks and nothing happens whenever I press “start.” I have been using the recoil only so far- but I’d like to try out the remote option too.
