Ukraine is divided into two, East and West.
The west support EU and hate Russia, the East are ethnic Russians and they fully support Russia. They elected a pro Russian president I think in 2010, the West funded a revolution (as they normally do. See Libya etc) they chased out the president and held a sham election which brought Zelensky, an anti-Russia and pro US and the west to power.

Eastern Ukrainian who are Russians declared that they were no longer part of Ukraine 2014. the Ukrainian government have been attacking them. There are countless number of videos on the Internet showing Ukrainian aggressions on those region including attacking their water supply, electricity and schools. Russia have always supported the pro Russians in the region. They only just formally recognised them yesterday.

When did Russia invade Ukraine please, invasion is totally different from legitimizing a separatist government. Besides Putin recognizing the region doesn’t even make it part of Russia on paper, it’s a republic in its on right. The regions you mentioned are essentially part of the then Soviet Union, Chenchya has its own president and government but it’s a territory controlled by Russia, the US government has a number of territories they control too. I don’t see why the west has a problem with Putin for doing what they do.

If we are talking about invasion, it’s the US we should be talking to, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, etc, America invades under the guise of intervention but they are big mad when they think Putin is going to do it.

EU to help fight off cyberattacks from Russia

The European Union will mobilize a team of cybersecurity experts to help Ukraine fight off cyberattacks from Russia, officials told POLITICO.

The EU’s Cyber Rapid Response Team includes around 10 national cybersecurity officials of six European countries — Croatia, Estonia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland and Romania.

These countries can provide assistance to countries under cyberattack.

The move comes following the warning from Ukrainian cybersecurity services that there were incoming cyberattacks and threats on Monday.
