Yes you don't need i-20 for B1/B2 but for those that have F2 dependant, they can add the i-20 as part of the supporting document

Sorry, just seeing your messages. I was at the Consulate. They will return your passport with a paper explaining what more they require from you or the reason for the refusal

Thank you very much. I called and they said refused isn't a final decision, it just means that they need to take a closer look at some things. A final decision would be "approved" or "denied". So I won't track anymore abeg, I don't want high BP. I'll just wait for them to say we should come for her passport.

Good day every. Pls I need someone to enlighten me on this . I booked an appointment since last year for my wife and kids we are suppose to go for the interview next month hopefully. But my woman had another kid this February and we are unable to add as dependent. I try to get a passport for the baby but am not sure we can make it . So a friend advice we should go for the interview without the baby and we should tell the consulate what happen during interview and he said if they grant us the visa then we can now apply for the baby . Pls I need help on this tell me what to do …

My portal changed to issued this afternoon. Passport was dropped off last Wednesday 16th. Never had a renewal this fast.

Our statuses just changed from “AP” to issued…family of 4. My son was earlier refused but he was asked to come for biometric which was done today. Passports were dropped on February 14 IW.

I would’ve advised you to apply alone if this is your first visa…they will see that you have enough family ties to want to go back to Nigeria. It may be difficult to convince them in my opinion

I don’t know o, I didn’t use the last visa for child birth but I have had 2 kids in the u.s and I’ve renewed drop box after so I don’t know, they are with my passport, how do I even come down sef lol

If it ends up being 221g then nothing to worry about cos it happened to me in my previous visa renewal and they asked me to schedule a follow up interview. I went there and they told me what ticked them off which was that I spent 4 months straight in the us. I was able to prove that it was due to the then hurricane Harvey. I had pictures and all and they renewed for me . It took 9 months though.

Let me share my experience at the consulate this afternoon while i took my son for his scheduled fingerprint collection. I witnessed the interviews of over 15 applicants...all of them were not new travellers. As at when i left, only 3 of them were granted, one elderly couple was put on AP; the others were refused....frequent travelers o
They queried those of them that stayed for over one month in the US on a trip (you can't lie anyway, as i94 portal will expose you). The questions ranged from: why did you stay that long? What were you doing to survive/sustain yourself in the US? How much did you spend if you stayed in a hotel? What do you do in Nigeria that allowed you to be away for that long? How were you moving around? etc...
The couple that was put on AP have a registered business in the US and mentioned that they need to travel to check their business as its Business Manager died last year (the yeye Consular Officer even empathized with them o...yet still didn't approve their application)...

For people intending to go for vacation and are preparing for an interview, please be prepared for likely questions. May we all find favour...

Please how did you go about your drop box? Is there any slip to print on the appointment cgi booking website? After validating our mrv receipt, this is the response we always get.

Please can you walk me through how you did yours?

It’s been shared here recently: DS 160 confirmation page, appointment letter, international passport (including the one with your last US visa), one passport photo, GTB receipt for visa fee payment…

the appointment letter. After validating the payment it would tell me no appointment available. I answered the questionnaire and we qualify for a Dropbox because the visa is within the 24months stated

@dampops it was updated this morning 22nd , I submitted on the 16th , my husband dropped it off for both of us , the thing is even if they call me for an interview, I’m not in Lagos , I’m currently in qatar where I have residence visa , we just saw they started drop box and my husband had stuff to do in Lagos and we just submitted..

Hmmm if the passport will be ready before interview, you can pay for the baby's visa and fill all other things then take the baby along but if not, you can follow this advise and apply for the baby later.
