Hello elders, I have come again. Please does anyone know if NHS relocation allowance can be used for some of the costs associated with the mortgage for a first home? |

umarwy: Believe driving without insurance is a crime, one should have at least 3rd party insurance. As per d repercussions, did he have anyone with full licence beside him? That may help mitigate his cost. The insurance may potentially cancel his current cover and he will still be liable for the full amount for the year, increased premium, and if any issues found with the claim, he could be charged with the repaired cost of the other party 1 Like 2 Shares |

fatima04: He has a wrong insurance. I.e provisional license and driving alone without l plates We are still observing the situation as he told the other party he will fix there car 100£, the problem it was a company/work car so the individual doesn't have have final say. The individual still took pictures and his car plate etc. And told him he will be in touch |

Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by Peerielass: 7:06pm On Feb 22, 2022 |
umarwy: Did this involve the police? He might get away with it if the police are not involved and he agrees to repair the other car out of pocket without involving his insurance (or lack of) company. However if the police are involved, he should expect a fine and some points on his non-existent license. This is in addition to footing the repair costs. 3 Likes |

omopapa: How £4000 turn £400? Lol I saw for NHS Orkney, their relocation allowance is £8,000 for band 4 and above and I was already thinking I should have applied there. |
Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by Peerielass: 9:06pm On Feb 22, 2022 |
CheesyTee: The maximum amount allowable (tax free) by HMRC is £8,000 however this does not mean that you will receive the entire amount from your employer. The amount you receive will depend on the qualifying expenses you claim for with the relevant supporting documents. For instance if the cost of hiring a moving van is £3,000, your employer will only reimburse £3,000 when you present the receipt. They are not going to dash you £8,000 for jolly Also check the policy of your employer as some employers may require you to repay the money if you leave the company or trust within a certain time. 7 Likes |

fatima04: Preach it sis. There are cases like this in the UK, just that they are not widely reported in the media. Regarding the news article you've shared, I can't believe the guy is still insisting he's innocent after all these years. I think he is just trying to save face with his family. He was arrested at the airport while planning to purchase a ticket to Dominican Republic (a country that does not have extradition treaty with the US). He was also indicted for arranged marriage. The dude seems to think a person in receipt of proceeds of fraud/crime is not liable for investigation/prosecution. I had a read through some of the documents on his website. Its obvious he sent up the money exchange business to "clean up" the dirty money from his criminal associates. He was fully aware those funds were proceeds of BEC and romance fraud. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2018/12/abike-dabiri-family-of-detained-nigerian-bicker-over-correspondence/amp/ |
