Eze is hoing his "big money" move in the coming summer would help him regain England attention, and perhaps a call up. And so he doesn't want to throw that opportunity away for a super eagles call.

My take is that we should focus on Olise and leave him alone for good.

Komekn once gave us assurance that Eze would play for us after he got his EPL contracted signed...Which big money move is coming for him, given that he hasn't proven anything exceptional yet?

I really blame Rohr for this Eze situation..After the world cup, it was clear that we needed reinforcement in the midfield with Iwobi and Mikel being the only available creative midfielders we had (the experiment with Etebo failed). But somehow, Rohr kept ingnoring Eze and calling up the regular midfield of Mikel, Ndidi,Etebo, Ogu and Iwobi

you're right...
The begging part is Eze's
What I had with Olise is his decision to join us only of we qualify for WC and TBH, that doesn't sit well with me.
We're not gonna drop those who laboured through the qualifiers for one FBs. Are we?

The thing is that Eze feels he's doing us.

Na here we dey. He will come begging. But it might be too late. We won't need him anymore.

Olise case different.

His options are many so we need to be aggressive in our approach. And even please him, if need be. And yes— With the promise to the world cup.

Olise is confused.

He has about 4 options. You don't expect him to make a rash decision. Put yourself in his shoes and see from his perspective. We are not begging him. We are trying to make him see why he should pick us and not the other teams. It is called diplomacy. And in this case, the one who wants it more, who produces more benefits to the player's interest, wins.

It is not begging.
So out of the four countries he is eligible for, how many of them have the fa president and head coaches gone to make him see reasons to choose us?

If care is not taken, we've gone to him more than thrice and other countries haven't done so as much as I know.

Even at that in showing that we need him more as you said, he hasn't committed to us yet.

Should we send Pinnick 5 more times or what's your suggestion on how best we should approach him?

I hear Newcastle are interested in a 45milli move. Maybe that one dey burst him head. He will surely get an offer from a top 6-Epl team soon. But he doesn't know his only ptions is Nigeria.

His advicers aren't doing him well. England will NEVER take Eze to a world-cup or euros in this lifetime. Na only friendly them go use am do 'try your luck' then dump am.

And yes, all this is as a result of Rohr being too conservative to defensive players and resenting creatively showboating players. Eze prolly felt we dished him when he was nothing (when he came to camp once) and now wants him. But the shakara will come back to hurt him in the future.

Me nor too send am again.

He needs us more than we need him.

Na why I say "focus".

It is not easy for the dude.

Make we do our part qualify first. His options are many. Nor be him fault. Especially when you're surrounded by people who tell you so many negative things about Nigeria.

My own is that, should we get better options who are better or in the same category as they are, make we leave them focus on the ones we get. E.g Amoo and any other.

But we nor too get options . So you see. We need then as options too. undecided
Make we qualify first?

As in, make we use people qualify make him come occupy the person wey help us qualify spot?

How will you feel if you helped your school to a national competition from the local level and you were now sidestepped at the national level for someone else?

Algeria has made more efforts than Nigeria.

You think he doesn't know why he said he'll make his choice "after the world cup playoffs?"

Who did I make an assumption of? Is it Tammy Abraham, Tosin Adarabioyo, Jordan Ibe, Nedum Onuoha, Eberechi Eze, Olise? All these have something in common. They are English. From reports, even Lookman took time to submit his transfer request letter.

The NFF should change its policy to reach out to them to play. Only players that are mentally prepared to play for us should we break ourselves for. All these traveling to beg and red carpet treatment should stop.

Let them enjoy their egos until they are ready to play. When they are ready to play, their agents can reach out to the NFF to alert them that the player is ready to play.

The NFF should have prestige.

The difference between me and you is my narrative is not harvested from the media.

Because they are English they are as all the same don't you think that's highly ignorant.

By the way Nedum was born in Warri.

Irrespective of longevity in the SE your club and league performance are still a barometer for selection to any national team.

We don't know how good someboyis until given justifiable opportunity and selection. Omeruo looks slow dated and unable to cope with physicality from strong physical forward players.

In the last AFCON Ajayi seemed a lot better to me, in addition Ajayi brings aerial dominance at set pieces and in defence. What does Omeruo bring , old age , longevity ❓ He should be dropped. We need better.

Calvin is clearly better even better than Balogun.

Lies. Just say you prefer Ajayi. On the eve of the AFCON, I criticized Omeruo for his defensive frailties cos in crucial matches his mistakes or weaknesses cost us goals but he performed creditably well during the Afcon and I was impressed as were many other people.

Semi too is good

Nedun Onuoha rejected the super Eagles call and when Peterside Idah met him one on one to play for us, he told Peterside that he does not feel Nigerian.

How do we win him over?

If we decide to hand over the job to convincing him, how will you go about it.

Regarding the bold, I think this is where the passion thegoodjoe was talking about is. If he doesn't care about us, why should we press on?

I did not get anything wrong. I did not say close the door to the player but keep an open door policy. Any time the player is ready, he can reach out and get into the team. Stop approaching the player to convince. The door is open for him. If he wants to enter, he is free to enter. If he does not want to, good luck to him.

Like JohnBullMySon said you are being too idealistic and so far your points are impracticable.

Both approaches go and should go together. Some players will declare for us while some will need convincing. It is what it is.

Some babes were soft work to their husbands while some required convincing. One approach is not better than the other. All join. The most important thing is to get the best.

If they are good enough to qualify us for the world cup, why aren't they good enough to play at the world cup?

You are among the best that is why you qualified your school to the national level of the qualification which is the fourth stage of the competition but they used the excuse of someone assumedly better than you to sidestep for the national, how will you feel?

Where was the guy when you were taking the school from the first stage to the third stage?
