That morning, While Benny was knotting his tie he tried all he could to keep the conversation simple and short.
Dorcas, his dear wife was in her usual mood again that early morning, sitting on the bed with bible in hand.
She wasn't actually reading, she only opened a place and kept staring at it.

"...He can punish me with everything but not with this, not with this heavy laden he pulled on my shoulder...is too heavy. what else does he want that I haven't done..."

Benny shakes his head sadly as he turned to his wife
"Honey, please let's not go to that direction again this morning again. I have told you to stop beating yourself nonstop. Is not going to change anything until God decide is time..."

Dorcas sighed heavily and wiped off a tear " you are not really bothered. Is obvious you don't care. You have young beautiful women flocking around you day by day so is...

"... stop it, stop it right now..." Benny interrupted his wife.
"... why are you always doing this. We have tried so many things, followed every doctor's appointment and instructions, we have done everything within our power yet nothing worked out maybe is high time we leave it on God. Let him give us a child at his own appointed time. After all the bible said children are gift from the Lord...so let the Lord bless us with this gift at his own due time. Beside honey, you're my wife and I only got eye for you alone, we're together on this... You should trust me and stop being so imaginetive..."

Dorcas became quiet as she bent her face over the bible again.
"seek first the kingdom of God and every other thing will be added on to you. It says every other thing will be given
when you seek first... We have done exactly that yet nothing..."

Benny, all dressed walked closer to the bed waving a finger in the air.

"No..no.. no. God has actually added every other thing like life, health, money that keeps us going and careers too. The only thing that he is yet to add is children... but his timing remain absolutely the best. We will continue to wait with hope. I have 9am class to take and I'm already running late..I will see you later honey..."

Dorcas sighed and replied "see you later, I will probably stop at the hospital to get some meds. My body is acting up...it seems like is not even mine anymore. It must be malaria or stress. Don't know which exactly but I want to be sure before treating anything. Is been a while I treated malaria though..."

"Alright, try and do that honey, I will call you once I'm out of lecture hall..."
Benny said as he picked up his backpack and walked out of the room.

Bianca looked at the pictures she just printed out of the internet and start grinning from ear to ear.
She turned to her friend who was standing impatiently and said

"Isn't he cute...look at him very well Geni, take a long look.."

She turned the pictures over to Geni who seems uninterested.
"Bianca stop with the obsession, that man is married. There are so many single men out there that you can fantasize over.. leave this one alone..."

Bianca got angry with her friend and barked at her.
"Geni, let me make this very clear, if you still want to remain my friend try not to go against my ways. And for your information I'm not obsessed with him. I just can't help admiring his cute eyes, sweet button nose and soft black lips. See, I don't care if professor Benny is married... that's not my problem at all. I'm just his secret admirer that's all...I wasn't asking him to marry me but if he offers I will accept..."

Geni tries to change the topic but Bianca as usual was not ready to drop it.
"We will be late for history lecture Bianca, it starts by 8:30am if we don't leave now...we may miss the class, let's go please..."

Bianca picked up a book with other additional things and her laptop and packed into her backpack.

"I won't be attending history class, I will be changing some things and adding new ones too. I'm substituting history for religious studies..."

Geni seems surprised as she asked her why
"Because professor Benny takes religious and international studies. Don't look at me like that... I'm not really interested in his teaching, I just want to sit where I can gaze at him...if possible everyday. I will be getting some of his books from the library and bookstores. I will do anything to have him notice me. I'm not only beautiful, I'm smart and outspoken too, is just a matter of time and he will notice my existence... who knows we can take it up from there. I may even get to get pregnant for him and give him his first child. I learnt that him and his wife are looking for child. They have been married for seven years with no children. Is an opportunity I will gladly jump at if it present itself. But I will take my time and until he notices me first.."

Bianca said the last part with a fat grin as they step out of the house.

Geni managed to smile at her friend's weird idea.
They both left for lectures.

Episode 2

Dorcas stretched out her hands tiredly and continue staring at her laptop which was right in front of her. she was in a deep thought and Anita, her colleague who was using Dorcas office for that week due to her own work place was under renovation noticed her worries.

Anita saw that she was in distress ever since she stepped into the office that afternoon.

“You know a problem shared is aproblem solved right…? Anita asked Dorcas who turned to look at her but said nothing

“…. Dorcas, if you care to share whatever that’s bothering you I’m available and will listen. I try not to interfere with whatever you maybe thinking but is over two hours you walked in here and you haven’t been able to do anything. I knew something definitely is eating you up and I hope is not baby issue again… because I have told you that it will happen for you. But like I said before, a problem shared is a…”

Dorcas waved her finger in the air interrupting Anita.

“Even if I share this particular problem with multitude it will still won’t get solved. You won’t understand Anita, you and your husband have three lovely kids… you don’t know what people like us struggling to conceive and give birth even if is just one child go through. He who wears the shoe knows where it pinches. I was at the hospital earlier because I haven’t really been feeling too well of recent. After running several test to ascertain if it’s malaria it turned out that I’m 3 weeks pregnant…”

Anita
threw her hands in the air excitedly, Dorcas watched her with a stern face.
“Isn’t this supposed to be a good news… why are you not jumping for joy? is that not what you have been dreaming off and finally is now a reality? Truly I don’t understand but this worth celebrating Dorcas…”

Dorcas sighed before sitting upright from her chair.

“This is my third pregnancy Anita and the last two never gets to three months before I miscarried them. The last miscarriage happened two years ago and I have been looking forward to another pregnancy that will stay full term. The worst part is not the body or emotional pain I go through each time, is the look on Benny’s face…the painful disappointment in his eyes. He tries to pretend like nothing but I know my husband so well. Immediately the results came out that I was pregnant again, I was elated with the news but it was quickly replaced with fear. I’m worried sick due to the last two experiences. I will only celebrate happily if this pregnancy cross the danger month which will be after three months. I don’t want to go through what I went through before. Anita I almost wrath in pain. I didn’t fully recover from it until after a year. I don’t want such to happen again or watch Benny get disappointed for the third time. It will hurt me beyond repair. Despite how much Benny comforts me and make it seem like God’s time is the best…deep down my husband loves kids and can’t wait to be called a Dad by his own biological kids. Is almost eight years of marriage, we kept believing God for some sort of miracle… I just hope this is the answer to all our prayers…”

Anita heaped a sigh before saying “relax Dorcas, this time around it will be different. Be optimistic, have faith and believe. You’re more of a prayerful believer than I am so I expected some faith filled talk not this. please, try and have some faith, even the size of a mustard seed will do. God has finally answered you and your husband’s long time prayer. You’re carrying your miracle baby Dorcas…I have a strong believe about that. Affliction shall not rise the second time. Have you told Benny the good news…?

“Not
yet. I wish I can keep it until I’m certain that affliction doesn’t rise the third time. if anything goes wrong I won’t have different kinds of pain to battle with but Benny will definitely know even without me saying a word. That man reads me like book and that’s why i love him so much. I will tell him tonight and we will start applying all measures to make sure nothing goes wrong. Both prayers, medical appointment and other things will be applied. Oh God… please don’t allow affliction to rise again in my home. Wipe our face off shame and bring light into our home through this child… please Lord. Take away my fear and replace it with faith in you…”
Anita gave a resounded Amen to Dorcas prayers.

Bianca sat on the bed with her phone in hand while Geni was on a couch helping Bianca with their class assignment.

She did not attend lectures or had appetite for food all through that day.

Geni asked her earlier what was wrong and she told her that she was alright.

Bianca suddenly threw her phone angrily to another side of the bed. Geni looked up from her laptop.

“What is wrong Bianca…are you alright?
She asked again

Bianca stood from the bed and started pacing up and down the room.

“Despite all the efforts i put into making him notice me, did you know he still haven’t. Is three weeks and I have almost exhausted all my ideas. He doesn’t know if I exist…is as if he doesn’t get close with his students… especially female students. I tried, I trailed him to know how exactly to make my plans work but… nothing. Professor Benny seems like a hard nut to crack but no matter how hard he maybe I will find means to crack him…”

She paused and looked at Geni with a smirk on her face

“….I think I know what to do Geni. I have an idea…a fantastic one.

Geni didn’t say a word. Bianca was accomodating her and was also helping her with cash for school runs.
The last time she tried advising her it almost resulted to a fight.
Almost all the walls in her room is covered up with professor Benny’s different kinds of pictures.
Only the sitting room was free from the madness and mainly because she does not want anyone visiting and seeing Benny’s pic in the sitting room

But the room wasn’t spared.
Geni was trading carefully to avoid getting evicted from the house.

“Okay… what do you plan to do? Geni managed to ask.

“Prof wife owns a law firm, she is a known lawyer. I will go in search of her.

Geni opened her mouth but no word came out.
She tried again and asked Bianca why she wants to meet Benny’s wife

“Leave that to me…I will update you on our first meeting. Maybe, I will let her know that I’m her husband’s secret admirer or mistress and want to be her friend so that I can have direct access to our darlin handsome Benny… hahahaha.well, I’m just kidding… that’s a joke. I have a better way to go about it and when everything is matured I will update you my dear girlfriend…”

She smiled mischievously as she picked up her phone again and sat back on the bed.

Two days later, Bianca was able to find out where Dorcas works.
She dressed up and left to see Dorcas in her office.
She waited at the reception until she was asked to go in

Bianca wore the best attractive convincing smile as she was ushered into Dorcas office
She weighs Dorcas appearance to know her chances.
She was not expecting what she saw.

Dorcas was not only beautiful with lovely eyes but she also dressed and looks smart.
Bianca has seen her pictures but she did not know that Dorcas was more elegant in person than in pictures.
And that made her to want to step up her game even more.

“I’m Bianca Tom and I heard you are one of the best lawyers in this big city. I believe you are the perfect person for the job I have at hand…”

Dorcas smile and said
“I’m sorry Bianca, I have stopped taking cases due to personal reasons, I’m taking a compulsory leave by month end…just for sometime but I can refer you to a learned colleague who will handle whatever case you have. Hope that’s okay by you?

Bianca face changed into disappointment. She did not bother to hide it.
Dorcas want to spoil her plan but it won’t work.
She wish she knows why Dorcas was taking a compulsory work leave.
Hope She is not planning to take her cute professor on a journey
What if Dorcas has a terminal illness, which will give room for Benny to take another wife? She wish that is the case, she will do anything to wake up beside Benny.

What
if Dorcas is pregnant? Impossible.
Dorcas is barren and can’t possibly be pregnant.
Maybe she was traveling for some personal stuff and Benny will stay behind.
Bianca sat there, opposite Dorcas as different thought crosses her mind.
Dorcas called her name twice bringing her back to reality
“Oh..ooh. I’m lost in thought of what next to do because I wanted you personally to handle my case and is not much of a case…it won’t stress you at all. is more like a legal advice…”

A call suddenly came into Dorcas phone interrupting Bianca
She frowned when she realized that it was a call from Benny which Dorcas quickly dismissed and promises to call back later because she was with a client

Bianca started hoping seriously that Dorcas will consider and through that means she will be able to penetrate into their lives and little by little have access to Benny’s heart.

Episode 3.

As she was dressing up to leave that morning she suddenly held her stomach in pain but within few seconds the pain subsided.
“Are you okay…? Benny asked as he rushed to her
“It was just a little cramps… nothing serious.

Benny heaped a sigh of relief as he left her alone and said
“You insist that you want to help this client of yours knowing well that you should be at home resting and following all prescribed medication to avoid loopholes. Maybe this is a sign that you probably shouldn’t go. Let another handle the case for the sake of your health honey…”

“I try to direct her to a different lawyer but she is head bent on me. Beside, she is just a young girl who needs a legal advice. Is nothing stressful darlin. She believes I can take care of her situation far better than any other person and let me satisfy that wish for her. I asked her to come back by 12noon today. Ever since last week she visited and I postponed the appointment for today she have not stop calling me. You know how much I hate to disappoint my client… young, old and new clients, I treat them all alike. I will be back before you know it. I’m happy that you are spending this week at home with me. I know how much this baby means to us… I’m almost passed the danger month. In two weeks time I will be 10weeks which is usually the danger period. God came through for us this time and he will take us to the very end when we will meet our little bundle of joy…”

Benny

kissed his wife and asked her to be home early and she should cancel any other appointments because she won’t be attending to any other case again untill she gives birth.
Dorcas nodded with a smile and assured him that she will do exactly that.
She picked up her car keys to leave. Benny asked if he can go and drop her in the office.
“Relax honey, I’m very alright and I can drive by myself.

Dorcas drove to her office and got there few minutes late.
Bianca was already waiting for her.

“My apologies for coming a bit late. Hope you haven’t been waiting for long”?

Dorcas asked and Bianca replied “actually, I have been here almost an hour. You’re not a “bit” late you’re actually late. Maybe you didn’t see my case serious enough to keep to time…I totally understand…” Bianca fumes

“No…no..no Bianca, I treat all my clients the same and I’m sorry for arriving late. You know I told you that I was on leave and I suppose to be away from work but I’m here now because of you. If you aren’t special enough I won’t be in the office today I could have redirect your case to another…”

Bianca smile, exposing her fine dentals.
Dorcas saw that she was not only beautiful she had one of the sweetest smile that she had ever seen and although her kind of job has thought her that people are not always what they seem and never to conclude on a case just by mare appearance
She has learnt a lot concerning people in her line of calling but there is nothing to suspect. Bianca is just an innocent, pretty lady needing a legal advice.

“… I’m here to help you Bianca. Let’s start by introduction and every other thing that follows…”

“Thanks ma’am. I appreciate you agreeing to listen and handle my case personally. I’m Bianca Tom and a student of the highway University, department of art. My parents separated when I was a little girl. I stayed with my Dad while growing up and he was a wealthy business man. He travels alot and because of that he employed housekeepers and nannies that will look after me. Growing up, I asked my Dad to dismissed some of this domestic staffs, the nannies especially because they were of no use to me. He did exactly that but let one of the women stay back. He said it was for my own good but along the line, this lady got pregnant and said it was my dad’s…he agreed and she became part of the family. She gave birth to a girl and after a year passed she became pregnant for the second child and that was the period my dad was involved in a car accident and died. It was difficult moment yet I was able to carry on. So, the reason why I’m seeking for legal advice is because my father did not draft out any Will. And my father’s “baby mama” I call her that because she was not legally married to my Dad and I can’t tell if the children belong to my Dad or not but since is not medically proven otherwise, I can only flow with the situation. This other woman is conniving with some legal practitioner to take over my father’s empire. His house and some other things that by right belongs to me. Since there was no Will drafted, how do I go about this. What do you propose that I do in this case…?

Dorcas

heaped a sigh. She was quiet and did not speak immediately
“Miss Tom, your case is a very sensitive one and need to be handled with care. First of all, I’m sorry about your Dad. I will need to ask you few questions which will help in my legal advice. Tell me, did your Dad lawfully wedded your Mom? what is the name of your dad’s mistress? When exactly did your Dad had accident and was it immediate death or he died after sometime. What made you feel that the woman in question is taking legal action to have full access to the properties…”?
“Jessica…her name is Jessica ma’am…” Bianca replied, gave a long sad sigh before she continued

“…yes, my parents were legally married but later sperated because my Mom couldn’t stand my dad’s cheating scandal. My Dad did not die immediately, he died after few days in the hospital and before then he sent for me and apologies. He said if there’s any way he hurt me that I should please forgive him and yes, Jessica’s lawyer have been in the house few occasions. I’m not a kid ma’am and I have overheard them discussing the worth of my father’s properties. I left the house and I’m presently squatting with a friend because Jessica is desperate and may hurt me one day if i remain in that house. That’s why I have decided to get legal backing… but first I needed advice on how to start. I can’t forfeit my right for some desperate baby mama…”

Her phone beeped and she picked it and checked.
After reading something there she exclaimed sadly.
“…Oh no, my friend… the one accommodating me mistakingly went out with the house key and she is not returning tonight until tomorrow. I will need a place to stay. Oh mine…if not for all of this going on, I supposed to get my own place. I don’t even have full access yet to my dad’s money. Jessica is taking over everything. I will need to either lodge in a hotel tonight but the issue is that I left my cash and card back at home. I’m sorry, I really need to look for away out tonight. Feeding and where to sleep tonight. Although I need this legal guiding on my next step of action before my late father’s mistress takes over everything. All this load is too much for me and distracting me from my studies. I need to get it done with so that I can concentrate with my life. And if you can guide me through it I’m ready to pay your charges…. can you be my lawyer, I know that’s too much to ask but I will pay…”

Dorcas curved a smile and said
“Is fine Miss, I really do want to help you with this case despite how sensitive it maybe but I’m totally off duty. The only help I can render is advice. I can also offer you some money to get a place this night and maybe food until tomorrow. Maybe I will continue this advice on phone because I won’t be seeing clients again after today…”

Bianca appears sad as she stood with her bag.
“Thanks alot. I really appreciate but I want to ask for a very huge favor and I will be so happy if you can agree to help me this way… please..”

Dorcas asked her to go ahead
Bianca nodded quietly with a smile as she continued.

“I


don’t know if is possible to pass the night at your house please, just for tonight and secondly you can continue with the legal advice from there. Is better off than phone call or chat. You said you won’t be seeing clients again and my chances with you after now is slim. That’s why I’m asking for this one favor and by tomorrow I will return back to school. Is it okay if I stay with you just for tonight… please?
Dorcas shakes her head and replied
“There is one thing that I don’t do is getting too involve with clients to the extent of inviting them over to my house and another thing is that I don’t live alone, my husband is home. I wish to help but in other ways…”

Bianca pleaded, saying she will be gone by morning before anyone even know.

Dorcas looked at her, the young lady before her looks all harmless and innocent.
Maybe she should just help her since is just for tonight but first she will have to call her husband if that’s okay with him.

She excused herself and stepped aside to make the call.
After few minutes she returned back and joined her.
“I’m sorry, my husband is not okay with the idea and I can’t convince him to oblige because is not something I’m used to doing. With my years of experience as a lawyer, I have learnt not mixup work with family life and this is isn’t about you Bianca. Is something I’m not very comfortable doing… maybe with time we can find a common ground and I will get to know you better. Not to worry, I will give you money to lodge in a hotel and also enough to get food…”

Bianca gave a heavy sigh and said “I totally understand…is fine ma’am. But is okay if you give me a push in your car… can I get a ride atleast or that too isn’t acceptable…”

“Off course, I will be give you a ride. Hop into the car let’s go please…”

They left while Dorcas was driving Bianca asked “I admire your strong stand… not mixing business with any other thing. This how I want to pattern my life and that’s why I want to get Jessica out of my late father’s properties after which I will focus squarely on other things. You’re beautiful and smart…I truly admire you. How many kids do you have? I believe one of your child will carry your personality. Sorry, maybe I’m running too fast…do you have kids? is your husband also a lawyer? sorry that I’m asking so many questions. I can be a little inquisitive… forgive my inquisitiveness”

“Is


alright. I don’t have kids yet but soon. My husband is a professor… not a lawyer….” Dorcas replied while still driving.
“Ooh… really. I thought you have kids but I’m sure is because you and your hubby aren’t ready or you’re waiting for the right time… God’s time I guess. Wow… you said your husband is a professor, in which school please…?

“My husband lectures in highway University currently and sure God’s time is actually the best for anything which includes children. You mentioned you school in high way university right..?

Bianca appears excited as she replied Dorcas “right. I school in highway University and among all the learned professor and lecturers in highway, there are just few that stands out and almost the entire school respect this few. They have integrity, fear of God, respect for their spouses and family, they have patient to teach and they are good at what they do. The nice and loving man that takes us in religious and international studies…his name is professor Benny. This man is super good and teaches with clarity. Another person is Mario Pau…”

“That’s my husband… I’m glad he stands out as always…” Dorcas interrupted with a fat grin on her face.

Bianca smiled and asked “you mean Mario Paul is your husband or Benn….

Dorcas interrupted again “professor Benny George… that’s my hubby”

Bianca threw her hand up excitedly and replied “oh my goodness. You mean Prof Benny is your husband…what a small world. I’m actually a big fan of his work.. infact I’m his biggest fan. I pray to meet him personally someday to tell him how his books on “Humanity” changed my narrative about life and I have recommended his books to many of my friends. Please do me a favor… tell him one of his students who happens to be his biggest fan send her greetings…”

Dorcas who was smiling suddenly startled. She winced in pain and held her stomach with one hand while driving with one

“…Are you alright ma’am? I can drive and wouldn’t mind if I take over the wheel so that you can relax and get yourself…is obvious you aren’t feeling so good. Let me drive you home or why not go to the hospital? I can call your husband to come over from there…”

Dorcas


remained quiet as she tries to suck in the pain.
Bianca was not going to give up easily.
She kept persuading Dorcas to accept her offer of either driving her home or hospital.
“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want….” Dorcas began to pray out loudly while still agonizing in pain.
When Bianca heard her praying she gave a silent disappointed sigh as she began to chorus Amen to Dorcas prayer annoyingly.

Within seconds the pain seems to subsides. Dorcas breathed deeply as she kept saying “thank you Jesus”

She later said to Bianca
“…Thanks for wanting to help. I deeply appreciate it but I’m fine now… there’s nothing to worry about…”
She paused and continued talking

“I guess is something I ate this morning. My stomach easily react to certain food. Thanks for your care. I will tell my husband that one of his students send his greetings. I will also continue the legal advice in phone… alright? Where exactly will you be alighting because I will soon be making a turn…”

A disappointed Bianca who’s mission was thwarted due to Dorcas not agreeing to any of her suggestions or pleas which was the only means to get closer and and achieve her aim told Dorcas that she should stop the car so that she can get down.

Dorcas moved to the side of the road, parked and Bianca came down.
She brought out money and offer Bianca for her hotel and feeding.
Bianca hesitated before collecting it.

Dorcas waved her good bye and zoomed off again.

Bianca stood there writhing in sadness.
All the tactics she used none of it worked.
Even when a great option presented itself, Dorcas was obviously having a stomach pain and she offered to help yet Dorcas rejected the help outrightly.

Bianca cursed loudly. She stamped her feet on the ground as she boils angrily.

Bianca knew her chances of becoming a friend of Dorcas and through that means get close to Benny is slim.
She will go home and restrategies on another plan.
Hopefully the next one will work out perfectly.
Dorcas is obviously very smart which is why she has to come up with something big and outsmart her.
Having Benny is a goal for her and ashe will do anything possible to be close to him.

Episode 5

She threw the cup on the ground with the tea in it and it smashed into pieces

Geni ran into the room
"What happened Bianca? She queried while looking at the mess Bianca made.

"This is my house and nobody has the right to question my actions. I do whatever pleases me and I advice you react only when I ask you to..." Bianca warned

Geni turned to leave but Bianca called her back
",... who will clean up this mess or are you waiting for a special invitation"

Geni turned and said to her "I'm not your house girl Bianca. I know I needed accomodations and I appreciate you helping me out but I have paid back in different ways. I help you with your assignment and other school runs. I asked you not to get a cleaner or cook that I will do both and I have always done that but that doesn't mean that I'm your maid. Let's get that clear..."

Bianca laugh sarcastically
"So, you now have the nerve and mouth to challenge me Geniva? You forget that I feed you, I pay my bills and yours too because your poor parents can't afford to take care of all your needs. When I say you should clean the mess I have the full right to that and if you are not okay with it then leave..."

"Fine, I will leave but you will give me to next semester so that I can get a place. Exam is starting soon and I can't afford to be homeless at this point in time..." Geni replied back angrily.

Bianca interrupted with a hoax laughter.
"You can't be homeless because exam is coming right... just listen to the nonsense you just said. at whose expenses if I let you stay? Answer me or you have suddenly gone dumb. you are going to leave right now or I will throw your things out by myself. I don't need a negative vibe around me and you have never supported my quest on this Benny issue so is better you stay far from me..."

Geni thought of what to do, she has to give in and apologies.

Dorcas complained to the husband of the pain, they decided to drive to the hospital that night without wasting time.

The doctor asked her to do a scan of which she did and presented the results.

It was confirmed that the baby was still forming well and there is no complications.
He advised her to stick to her routine drugs and avoid any form of stress.

Benny took his wife home. They were both happy that the baby was confirmed alright.
Even though is only after two weeks that she will be three months which is mostly the danger period but she had faith that nothiny will happen.
She cancelled all appointment and plans. Anything that will take her out of her comfort zone she avoided it.
It was until Bianca called one morning that she remembered that she was supposed to continue the legal advice on phone like it was agreed on.

Dorcas thanked her before the call ended.

After the call that was when Dorcas told Benny about Bianca, her new young and beautiful client who school in highway University and was also his biggest fan.

Few days later Dorcas noticed a spotting, blood spotting.
Benny rushed her to the hospital and she was discharged again that same day on the account that everything was fine.

They kept praying and hoping that nothing will go wrong.

After two weeks passed by Dorcas was excited that she had passed the danger month miraculously.
She was very happy and so was Benny.

Seeing the joy on Benny's face makes her more happy.

Geni breathed deeply and asked her how much she was offering.
Bianca mentioned the amount, it was quiet huge and she was in need of money.
Her mother can't afford much and her Dad was the last person she wish to go to. Ever since he was sacked from his place of work he has refused to do any other thing. He also depends on their mother for food and his personal upkeep.
The load is cumbersome on her mother alone.
Her father with her two younger siblings all feed and live through her.
That's why she decided to settle with whatever insult Bianca throws at her and endure whatever maltreatment she brings until she finishes school.

Her younger one just got admitted into the university but still at home waiting for some kind of miracle to be able to pay off the admission fees.
Their Mom asked for patient and time to be able to raise the money.
But the way Geni was looking at the whole thing, school for her sister is not happening soon if she continues to wait on their mother.

Geni had earlier wish that she can help out financially but that too is just a wish because she can't.
Not until Bianca came up with this ridiculous offer of hers

Geni sighed heavily.
It was very tempting yet the job was out of the ordinary. Someone is definitely going to get hurt at the end.
It may not be physical harm but the emotional trauma will be huge.
On a normal day she wouldn't have to think about it twice before turning such offer down but at this point as far as she wasn't selling her body or carrying a gun as arm robber to steal, as far she wasn't doing any of those two or worst she will be fine with her conscience.

The hacker working for me will be busy hacking into the students and lecturers data base to collect details. it won't stop there, you will start threatening him with the pictures. the hacker will hack the students data system and input his scandal there. Your face won't show... don't be scared and while all of this is going on I will step in and save the day. Don't ask me how I'm gonna do that just focus on your own given task. Do a clean job for me...is very important..."

Geni breathed deeply and said.
"This thing is too much Bianca. You're going too far and all this may destroy the man's good reputation. What if at the end, he still refuses you and stick to his wife. I'm begining to reconsider my initial agreement. The money is tempting for sure but..."

Bianca waved a finger to her face and said. " But nothing Geni. You obviously can't drop the offer due to the money involve, you want to do it and same way you want the money. So.. quit acting like a 6 years old girl and focus on the game..."

"Bianca, you said it wasn't obsession initially but is far more than that now. I don't want any trouble and I hope all of this will not breed trouble to me..."?

Bianca gave a sarcastic laughter before replying her "yes, it started out as admiring him and his work, but no matter how I try to compliment him this man won't even notice me or reciprocate an innocent compliment. This made me want him more, he appeared hard, unpenetrable and that is the kind of men I love. They try to pose as a challenge and I come in as their nut cracker. Now, is more than what it was before... I'm going to possess him as mine. And any way that I have to do to get through to him then am in. I don't need his money or whatever because I'm rich. He appeared to be in a haste as he turned to know who was calling him. A young lady was rushing towards him. He paused and waited for her to catch up

".... Good afternoon sir, I'm one of the students that you're taking in religious studies. My name is Rachel.

Geni said as she tries to catch her breath. This was her first task and she must have a good starting so that the rest that follows will be smooth.

Just like Bianca suggested that she should try to attend his class sometimes when she is not having other important classes pertaining to her course.
This is the second time she will be attending Benny's class, she even got his class materials.

Standing very close to him for the very first time she can't help but also noticed that Benny is indeed a fine man.
He was undoubtedly handsome and dresses very smart.
He should either be in his early forties or late thirties. One can't ascertain his exact age due to his youthful appearance.
Although there are few white strand of hair decorating his beard and another selective few that does not appear very obvious mixed up in his short hair.
He has a neat cut, looks smart, his voice is rich to the ear and many other beautiful qualities he possessed.

Now she understands why Bianca refused to let go of him despite the red signals that she kept getting.

"Yesss please, how may I help you?
He asked while trying to appear calm.

"I can see that you're in a haste, I have few questions I will like to ask concerning the origin of man, one of the topics I read in your book. I wish to know more but you appear not to have the time for such maybe next time then..."

Geni who doesn't know exactly what she really wanted to ask, she only wanted to get his attention first and Bianca's camera man was monitoring them so that he can take a close picture without anyone suspecting.

Prof, urged her to go ahead and ask her questions.

He made it quiet known that he was not searching or ready to mingle but people like Bianca like chasing what they can't have.

It shows the man is rich. What if she tells him exactly what was really happening on the account that he pays her.

This was the first attempt and it was not bad. The rest will be far better.

Dorcas still gets sudden mild contraction, but the doctor assured them that is nothing to worry about that everything was alright.

He couldn't sleep that night, someone was trying to destroy him and soil his good image.

"Hello who are you and what is the right thing? Benny asked but the caller already ended the call leaving him more confused and worried.

He will leave early tomorrow and try to fix things.
Dorcas must not see this.
Whoever that was trying to put a stain on his name will not go scot-free.
But the only question on his mind is "why? Why will someone wants to do stain his name

The person probably wants money because poverty can push one into doing insane things.
But this is way too much. How fast can he fix before it gets into national news.

This newspapers are looking for news and doesn't care if is true or not. All that matters is as far as their business is moving forward.
He has to try everything to avoid Dorcas knowing.
He wish to let her know before she hears it from an outsider but that will make her to start worrying, also thinking and that's not good for her especially in this condition.
With her high blood pressure and pregnancy, doctor warned against anything that will affect her.

He will have to fix this secretly and find out why of all the men and women like him on the same line why did this blackmailer choose only him. Why?

He rushed into the Cyber room, on seeing one of the engineers that he knows well, he called him aside and began to talk to him after showing him the pictures and videos on his phone

“, Charles, I really don’t understand what’s going on but you should have an explanation about this or what can be done. I’m confused and worried. Is there any possibility of me finding out who is behind this? I want the blackmailer to be apprehended as quick as possible. This picture and fake video of me with one of the female students was sent to me last night. I don’t know when the pictures where taken and this video isn’t real. They used my face and body in the video. This person said I have 24hours to do the right thing, I don’t know what he meant by that.. and is most likely a guy that is behind all this. Can you use this sent info and dig up the culprit? I need it done quick. I also don’t want this to get out into the school data base, the blackmailer is threatening to do so. If he succeed that will be a big mess to everything I hold dear. My wife especially must not know or come across this or it will be a total disaster, God forbids it. I will pay you…all I ask is that you do this for me now. Suspend every other thing you’re doing please…”

The
engineer checked the information that was used and shakes his head.
He asked for the number the person used to call him.
“Don’t you get it Charles? for Christ sake is a hidden number. The voice is chromed, I can’t even identify if is a man or woman but is definitely a man…my guts tells me so. I don’t know why but I will get to the root of all this. The video and pictures was sent from unknown source. I have tried in my own to sort it out but is proving difficult which was why I rushed to you this morning. I haven’t been able to get any sleep since I got this. You need to hurry…I need feedback within an hour or two…”
“Alright Prof Benny, calm down please. I totally understand everything and will do my best to identify the culprit. I have been doing this for the past seventeen years and I assure you that he or she can’t be hidden for long. I will personally dig him up be reassured” Charles said to a troubled Benny.

“I’m counting on you Charles… seriously counting on you. Please call me if anything pops up…I will be back in an hour time…”
Benny said before leaving.

He try to carry out his normal class activities in the school but everyone can tell that he was distracted.
He dismissed all his class section for another time.
He got a call from a unknown number threatening to release the pictures out that night.
After dropping the call his phone started ringing again, it was Dorcas.

His heart skipped. “Hope the pictures or videos haven’t gotten to her, what of the baby, is Dorcas okay? Oh God…let nothing go wrong please, this is a moment to be happy while expecting our heavenly gift. Don’t let anything come in between our Joy…”
Benny said before picking up.

“Hey honey…is everything alright? Are you okay… what of the baby?

“The baby is fine, why are you sounding scared? I know when something is bothering you… hope you haven’t been thinking of things that could go wrong with the pregnancy? Quit thinking because nothing will happen. Is just few months from now and we will be looking at our baby face to face. I only called to ask you what you will like for dinner…”

“Alright, I will go with whatever that is on the menu. Please, tell the cook to go ahead with the normal food timetable. Take care of yourself and the baby too… you know I love you right? Benny said, trying to sound convincing.

“You
make me feel like something is wrong with the way you sound. Anyway, I love you too honey…see you soon” Dorcas replied.
Back in his office, he held his two hands together and pray silently that God should help him take care of the present predicament he found himself.

After three hours, he didn’t hear from Charles he decided to go over and see him.

“I’m sorry Prof Benny, the link in used carries a double address, I need more than a day to be able to dismantle it. The hacker appears to be into such business and knows how to keep his identity hidden…”

“So does this means that you can’t sort it out? I thought you’re good at this Charles… maybe I should get a different person to do the job. Is just that i don’t have the time. The blackmailer called me this afternoon again threatening to release the pictures and videos tonight. I can’t fold my arms and do nothing. I don’t know what the person stands to gain or what exactly was my offense that led to all of this but one thing that I’m certain is that I will do anything to find out who this person is, oh I will. I need to look for another well renowned cyber engineer that will work this out quick…” Benny said angrily.

“What I told you Benny is the truth and is the same thing you will hear from any other cyber engineer well experienced in this line of ours. You need to exercise patient let me do my findings and digging. Is only going to take time but I will sort it out. Trust me…” Charles said to an impatient Benny

Benny exhaled deeply and said
“Time and patient is what I don’t have Charles. If any of this get out and goes viral everything I hold dearly will turned upside down… my entire world may come crashing… God forbids such. patient, at this point, I don’t know how to do that. I need you to help me do this quick… please…”

Charles assured him that he will but will need time.

Benny left disheartened.
He ran into another female. She has the most beautiful smile he has ever seen but he looked past her.
He apologized for running into her.
without a second look, he started walking away leaving her to pick up her things from the floor.

He can’t be seen around female students for now, he has to be careful.

He kept waking and she ran upto him

“Where is the guy, which side is he headed? Oh Jesus… how does he look like. How many of this was he holding.. what do he intends to do with it… tell me the area you saw this… please?

Bianca mentioned the area and told him that the guy was on face cap, she can’t describe him. She offered to take him to the exact location but Benny rushed ahead to the said place while Bianca followed.
Getting there he saw nothing and became more devasted while scanning through the area.

“Is someone trying to blackmail you Prof? Because I know you are disciplined and God fearing too . This will destroy your good image if nothing is done fast. I can help you if you don’t mind…?

Benny opened his eyes wide as he try to process the information.

“Really… you can help me track down the culprit, Take all of this off any site it maybe saved in and waiting for release. You can help me for real…?

Bianca nodded with another smile. Assuring professor who was ready to do anything.
“Yes, I can do it within few hours but on one condition…”

Benny looked at her, wondering what the condition might be. He was ready to do anything that will make all of this blackmail go away.
If is money or class mark or even a pass in his all subjects he was ready.
He can’t afford any of this to get out or even get to Dorcas his beautiful wife.

“What is the condition? Benny asked.
The young lady with a beautiful smile may want a high score to pass his class.
Is inappropriate but at this point he has no choice.
Or what could she be asking for aside what he had already mentioned.

Bianca
gave him another innocent sweet smile of hers as she try to take charge of the opportunity.
She have him now in her claws, she is not letting go ever again and he won’t be able to turn her down because he is in a tight corner and ready for anything.

As they sat in one of the school field long bench which was recommended by Bianca.
He exclaimed loudly still uncertain of what he just heard

“Whaaaat?

She smiled sheepishly and replied “I’m serious Prof Benny…”

He breathed in relief and said “I thought you were going to ask for something bigger or..

She laughed out a little before saying “no Prof Benny, my conditions is not going to add more stress to you. You’re already stressed out from this whole thing. I feel sad too. Is just like I’m even your wife, I understand how she will be feeling with all that’s going on. I know this whole thing will be devastating for both of you…”

He shakes his head sadly and said “I haven’t told her yet. She mustn’t know anything about this. She is not in a perfect condition right now for such heart wrenching news…”

“Oh… I’m sorry. So where do we stay… at your place or mine? Or do you have a perfect location to avoid anyone tagging you or even the camera man… whoever he might be, taking unnecessary pictures…”

Benny was quiet for sometime, he began to think of what to do.
“Your only condition is that I tell you about God right…?

Bianca nodded with a smile before saying

“Yes Prof, and also to have dinner with me. You tell me about God and thereafter have dinner with me. Listen Prof is not necessarily dinner, it can be lunch, brunch or even breakfast. Anyone that suit you. I’m only asking because it will give me great pleasure since you’re one of my idols…in the aspect of teaching and writing. I have read your books and they’re breathtaking. I will be very honored but is not a must for you to consider the last part. Due to the beautiful way that you usually talk about God, I’m interested and eager to hear more about him. I’m not much of a believer but reading your books changed all that. I must say it transformed my life to something better. Thank you Jesus..So where do we stay sir….?

Benny
told her that he wish to tell her everything about God in a calm and worry free atmosphere but knowing that nothing is done concerning the whole saga will distract him greatly.
“, Not to worry Prof, I gat your back always. I will work on it tonight by tomorrow it become a history. Maybe we can wait by then so that whenever we sit to talk you will feel at peace and we can have an enjoyable conversation. What do you think?

Bianca asked with another innocent smile that made Prof to smile back at her
Her words sound so assuring and she was only asking for nothing serious..
Just to tell her about God and have dinner with her.
Having dinner with her maybe over board for him but is not much of a condition.
Is something he can do.
He was ready to pay any amount, and even ready to comply with any request regarding grades or pass which goes against his principles and belief just to have all of his present trouble gone.

He wasn’t expecting what Bianca told him. She was different with a beautiful smile.
Always smiling and can even past for the best smile of the year if there was a contest like that.
Although there was something off about her, his inner being feel resistance toward her person but that maybe because of all that was going on with him.
She appears nice, charming and innocent. Her smile says it all.
She makes conversation so easy and fun
Her assurance makes him feel at peace.

Bianca smiled and said
“Bianca no Barbara. Our name sounds alike you know. It also starts with the same alphabet. We kinda have alot in common..”

Prof Benny smile. He couldn’t think of anything they share in common but he decided to flow with it.

“Thanks
again for agreeing to help me out with this. The pictures and videoshop…if it gets to my wife it may cause lots of harm. That’s one of the things I’m trying to avoid. Also it going viral will cause me my career but.is my wife I’m more worried about…”
“I totally understand Prof Benny. I promise to do everything to make sure I stop the hacker and if possible expose him but exposing who the actual person is may not be very possible due to the kind web address that’s in use now. They cancel their identity with it. my main focus will be to render any of his plans useless. It will neither go viral or get to your wife. I know your wife.. she once helped with a case in the past…more like a legal advice. This will also be my own way of paying back her kindness. But… I still wonder why somebody will want to hurt a sweet innocent man like you. It baffles me that You are more concerned about the pictures and video getting to your wife. Why appear more worried about your wife than your career. Any reason for that or is just the normal lovey dovey and the fear of her leaving…”

Benny breathed deeply, he was silent for sometime before standing.

He replied her while standing
“To tell you why I’m more concerned is because of my wife’s condition. And I will only be telling you this because you appear to be a nice person and also helping me curtail this whole saga. My wife is pregnant, yes and the doctor warned against anything that will get her suddenly alarmed. High blood pressure and pregnancy doesn’t go well. I’m afraid that if any of this gets to her hearing or eyes it may affect her or the baby. So that’s why I have to be careful. I have to go now…I appreciate everything and now that you know my wife’s present condition and she having helped you in the past you will assist me quicker than usual…”
His phone started ringing, he picked up, thanked Bianca again as he turned to leave while receiving call.

Bianca nodded with a smile as Prof Benny turned and left.
The whole angry muscle that she was trying to hide the moment Benny mentioned that Dorcas was pregnant gathered up on her face.

Dorcas was in the bathroom freshning up for the night when her phone suddenly beeped.

Benny who happens to be in the room called out to her
“Honey, I think you have a message.”

“Go ahead and check what it is, I hope is not from some network marketers…those people never gets tired of sending unnecessary messages…” Dorcas replied

Benny picked up her phone to check and was shocked at what he saw.

The photoshopped pictures of him in a compromised position with a young girl and also a video was sent to Dorcas phone.

“Jesus Christ…” He muttered silently.

Dorcas heard him say something and asked while still in the bathroom.

“Honey, did you say something? The message is from who and what’s it all about?

“No… no, is not important…at all. i already deleted them…” Benny said trying to sound calm despite how tense he was.

Newly added pictures of him in different position with a girl was forwarded to Dorcas phone.
The blackmailer want to destroy his home and ruin his reputation.

If Dorcas had seen those pictures there was no way she won’t believe it and is going to take alot of convincing for her to agree is not him, that’s if she will even believe at all.

“I thought she promised to make it all go away tonight? Why haven’t she and why are there more fresh pictures added to the old ones. The new ones are even worst than the previous… God, what is all this..?”.
Benny said quietly to himself.

thought of calling her and suddenly remembered that he did not remember to ask for her mobile number.
He needs to talk to her tonight.

Benny thought of what to do and suddenly remembered that Bianca mentioned that Dorcas once helped her with legal advice.
He quickly checked through Dorcas phone for Bianca’s number.

He checked the number twice before dialing it in his phone.
After saving it with just “blackmailer student” because he couldn’t come up with a perfect name for her.
Bianca was supposed to be helping him sort out the blackmailer.
But it seems the person was just getting started.
The new addition says it all.

Benny said to Dorcas who was still in the bathroom.

She picked on the first ring.

asked her to please hurry up with whatever work she was doing so that there will be a stop to the whole thing.
“When will you be coming out tomorrow? Since the camera man seems to be on the lookout… waiting to take pictures of you and any female that comes around you, maybe you should come to my place or do you have another safer place… you can suggest..”

“Uhhh, tomorrow is Saturday…I supposed to be home with my wife but because of this whole thing I will be driving out by 10am and we can stay in my office. Coming to your house is not a good idea. My office is fine for any discussion and the secret picture guy can’t possibly come into my office to take picture. He doesn’t even need to take pictures of me to create his lies…he can actually Photoshop just like he recently did. This whole thing is giving me sleepless nights. Bianca please do whatever you must tonight to stop this guy. After stopping him we can focus on searching out his real identity and also I will like to meet the lady that appeared in the first picture. She said her name is Rachel…I can still remember. I need to know if she has a hand in all this. She will be speaking to the police not me this time. I have to go, my wife is probably searching for me now. i need to think of another lie to tell her on my reason for stepping out to receive call when I can as well do it inside! Benny went back inside and Dorcas was already in bed waiting.

Benny held her in his arm assuring her and telling her how much he looks forward to holding their baby in his arm.

The following morning, Benny got set to leave.
Dorcas asked him where he was going to since is a Saturday.
He lied and promised to return back home quickly after he was done which won’t take upto two hours.
Dorcas suspicious grew but she just nodded as he left.

Immediately the call ended that night, Bianca place the phone on her lips, kissed it and said with a smile

“Goodnight my love. Is just a matter of time and you will be exactly where I want you… all mine. Your ugly pregnant Olga of a wife can’t keep you away from me. Everything didn’t go as planned tonight because Dorcas was too lazy to carry her phone along with her to the bathroom and Benny saw and deleted what was meant for her. That’s annoying but no one will thwart my efforts again. Benny will be coming out tomorrow and Dorcas will have full access to her phone, that will be a perfect timing. He will never find or suspect who is behind all of this because since we’re gradually getting close I will keep toiling with his mind until he becomes mine. Dorcas can go and die…I don’t give a damn about her…”

Geni who heard Bianca talking and laughing to herself went into the room.

“Bianca, Prof Benny and his wife are very smart…is just a matter of time they will figure you out. Please, stop already…I feel guilty enough for getting involved with this whole thing. Is too late now to start redoing anything but I will never allow myself down your part again. That’s not the kind of person I am and it hurt me so bad that Prof is shattered due to this whole thing. I just hope it doesn’t get worst because I won’t be able to live with myself. Bianca, please stop sending the pictures to his wife since he agreed to your condition. Have a cool talk with him in that way he will still be your friend. Don’t think of breaking his home apart or even his life because that man loves his wife and will do anything to protect his home…”

“Shut…shut your mouth Geni. You played your part and I have paid you off for your services. I no longer need either your advice or preaching. I’m here to save the lady… to appear like an angel who will save him, so the best thing is to keep quiet and mind the business that pays you. You said Benny loves his wife… that maybe true but will Dorcas still love him after seeing the pictures of him with another woman in a compromised position. Benny will come running to me and I will welcome him with an open arms. My plans will all work out… just watch and see. I’m unbeatable and several feets ahead of my opponents. The
next day, she called Benny and he did not pick up.
After an hour he called back.

“Good morning Bianca. You know you shouldn’t be calling me when I’m home right? I don’t know how to explain exactly who you are to my wife if she ask, let’s try to keep things simple please and not complicate the issue than it is already. So, tell me… hope you were able to destroy sort it all out? I’m driving to the office now, I don’t have much time to spend out, I need to be home with my wife today…so let’s meet in my office briefly. I’m almost there. By way I appreciate everything you’re doing for me… alright.”

Bianca smiled and told him us nothing at all.
He also informed him that she was also on her way.

Bianca knew it was a perfect time to send the pictures to Dorcas.

She stared at him with a smile, looking from his well shaped full eye brow, his lovely eyes, his cute button nose then down to his lips.
She continued staring as the lips kept moving, it appears tick yet kissable.

If only he could just kiss and hold her in his strong arms, she will wrap her hands around him tight and bury herself in his warmth.

How she wish he was all hers and hers alone, she will look upon his face each morning with satisfaction and worship him like an idol.

Sitting opposite him and looking into his face closely gives her so much joy. he was more than handsome to her.
His dress sense was killing, his smile was everything and every of his actions speak volume to her dry soul. It refreshes her greatly like a patched and tasty soul refreshed that stinks from a cool spring water.

Why is he married to that woman? Dorcas, who does not even appreciate his masterpiece like she do.
A woman that can’t love and adore him and won’t allow others to do so.

Wicked Dorcas, she does not know what she has. Maybe when Benny becomes her man Dorcas will then realize but it will be already late for her.

She wish Dorcas can just disappear, die or leave the marriage so that she can step in.
Finally she has succeeded to get him close and soon enough he will be closer.

Why haven’t Dorcas called him yet to curse and whine like a nagging wife.

probably drank poison and died after seeing the video and pictures of her husband making our with another woman.

Bianca swallowed hard as she continued drooling over Benny who kept talking oblivious to whatever Bianca was thinking.

“Are you listening at all Bianca, you’re here but you appear to be in distance thought. You’re smiling and watching me but is as if you aren’t here. You asked me to tell you about God… which was one of your conditions, I’m doing exact that but you appear not to be listening to any of the things i have been saying…”

Bianca wipe an invisible tears and said
“I’m actually listening, I just thought of my late father. He was kind, caring and loving just like you. But death took him when I needed him most. He used to be the one teaching me everything about God just as you’re doing right now. I was his little girl and he was everything to me. Listening to you now reminds me of him. oh death, I wis… wish he had fought harder to stay alive just for me. I really wanted to make him proud and I’m still going do that. Is just that…I miss him so much. It hurts deeply now that I think of it. Everyday seems like a struggle without my Dad. It feels so sad…”

She sniffles, wiping off invisible tears from her eyes again. Hoping that Benny will walk over to hold her in his arms while she sobs

“Oh.. I’m sorry Bianca. Never knew all this. Maybe we should talk some other time when you’re stable. if it reminds you so much bout your late Dad then is better we postponed today’s discussion. Don’t cry, since your Dad was a believer he’s in a better place now glorifying God with the angels. Since today’s meeting is postponed I will have to go home to my wife. I wasn’t even meant to come out today… I’m supposed to stay home with her but I can’t disappoint not after all you helped me in achieving. Benny got home and wondered why everywhere was quiet. He called out to his wife announcing that he was back just as her used to do.
But no reply came.
He saw the house keeper and asked of his wife, the woman told her that she has been in the room since he left and had refused to come out.

Benny rushed upstairs where their room was located.
He opened the door and saw Dorcas sitting on the ground motionless with tears stricken face.

He rushed to her.

“Honey… honey.. please talk to me what happened? Why are you crying…?

“Why…why Benny. let me guess, she is young, beautiful and classy right? I can’t understand why you will do this to me. I…I… can’t possibly fathom out why on earth you if all people will do this….”

Dorcas screamed as she threw her and phone to the wall but nothing happened to it.

“What are you talking about… honey, please talk to me…I don’t understand anything..!”

Dorcas stood and started acting all crazy as she kept throwing things around the room

“How many times have you slept with her? How many times Benny. How could you do this… why… why. I knew it, I just knew that something was fishy about you. When you start sneaking outside to make call and always with that your phone like your life depends on it. It was weird and I sensed something was wrong. Aaarrrrhhhh Benny, I trusted you. Why…?

She started hitting and kicking him angrily.
Benny tries to hold her while assuring her that he didn’t do anything

Dorcas picked up her phone and showed him pictures of him with another woman.

“I can actually explain that honey, issss… is not what you think. None of this is true… please believe me. I didn’t do any of this. Is photoshopped Please, calm down you’re going to hurt yourself and the baby. Please calm down for the sake of the baby… let me explain. This is exactly what I was afraid off that made me not to tell you initially…”

Dorcas cut in ” you initially wanted to tell me what… that you love her? She is a better woman than I am? Did you even consider the baby before doing all of this? How long has this been going on? Answer me, don’t make me think that I’m crazy. How long Benny…?

Dorcas screamed again as she threw another thing to the wall and it smashed.

Benny who was concerned about her and the baby kept pleading for her to calm down.
She ran out of the room, Benny ran after her.
She stumbled on the stairs and fell so hard with her side.

Benny quickly grabbed from the ground after she tripped.

She was screaming on top of her voice. Exhausted yet she refused to stop shouting and throwing off everything she set her eyes on.

She suddenly noticed something like liquid running down her legs.
She touched and checked it was blood.

Her scream doubled up as Benny lifted her up to his arm, with heart panting he rushed to the car.

Praying fervently, pleading none stop that God will spare their baby’s life.

After two days she try calling him again but no response came.
She wondered why he haven’t showed up and was eager to know what was going on.
She will wait until tomorrow and if he still did not show up she will have to search him out.
Not seeing or hearing from him was driving her insane and she can’t keep calm anymore.

The following day Bianca was in school on time and kept looking out for Prof Benny’s arrival.

She saw Geni approaching her and sighed angrily.

“What do you want now…? She barked at Geni who was several feet away from her.
Geni ignored until she was close enough.

“Hey Bianca, I have been searching all over the school for you. What are you doing here…in the staff car park? Are you aware that we will be sitting for the general test today and it comes with several marks for the next level. Today is the day and students are getting into class and getting ready for that while you’re out here for… Prof Benny, I guess…?

“I hate your audacity and the way you throw words to my face without fear. If I were you I will be very careful. Yes, I’m waiting for Benny again and you already know why or do you care for details I will be glad to feed you some more. As for the test, you already know what to do Geni. Do the normal thing as usual and stop pestering my life. I accommodate, feed and take care of your needs. The little you can do is to tidy up my mess and help with my school runs. That shouldn’t be difficult or is it? Please Geni, disappear from here because I’m not in the right mood for your nonsense talk. And make sure I pass the general test. shakes her head, turned and left.

Benny kept walking “I don’t really care about anything right now. What I was so much afraid off happened, so nothing else matters. You assured me that you’re going to take care of it, I was hoping truly you will without it getting to my wife but I was wrong…”

Bianca appeared surprised

“Oh my goodness…whaaat? He sent it to your wife? Jeeezzzzz! I’m really sorry. That must be before I closed and deactivate the webs. I’m sure of it…he probably sensed that and sent it or it could be from already saved ones in either his phone or somewhere else. I don’t have control over that if it was already saved outside the link that I was trying to dismantle. I’m sorry Prof, I was so worried when I didn’t hearing from you and you didn’t show up. How’s your wife, the baby…hope everything is fine…?

Benny didn’t answer immediately as he turned to the road that leads to his office.
He later spoke
“Nothin… nothing is fine. As sad as it is we losed the baby. Life haven’t been the same ever since and I don’t know if it will ever be. I’m not even in talking terms with my wife. The anger… the pain, the heaviness of everything weigh down on my heart. I feel deeply bruised… unexplainable pain. Is all my fault… totally. Whoever this blackmailer is, he won’t get away with any this, that I promise. Thanks Bianca but if you can dig up this person for me, it will make me very happy…”

Bianca
felt like jumping for joy.
Hearing that there is no more baby and he wasn’t in good terms with his wife means everything.

“…but your wife should have trusted you. What is marriage without love and trust. I’m sure you must have explained and pleaded with her but she still didn’t believe you. You don’t really have to blame yourself. Is not your fault at all. Unfortunate things do occur in life but how we with our partners handles it makes the difference. You’re innocent in all of this and never planned for any of that to happen. You try your best to hide it from your wife because of the baby mostly. Your wife neither cares about you or the baby because if she do the baby should still be alive. For the sake of the child she will control her blood pressure. That’s by avoiding anything that will lead to losing the child. I’m angry because I was really working hard for this same thing so that it won’t get bad but it seems my efforts were in vain. She wanted to spite you and that why she deliberately lose the baby knowing very well how much you wanted this child. Please, don’t misunderstand me… my whole point is that your wife has the ability to save the child but she choose not to. I’m sorry Prof Benny… she’s still your wife but she needs to work on her temper to avoid future reoccurrence…”

Benny got to his office door and Bianca wanted to follow him inside.
He paused at the door and said

“You have a point Bianca’.. Thanks. You’re supposed to be getting ready for the general test and should be in the hall by now… right?”

Bianca acted as if she was shocked. She checked the time and exclaimed
“Oh…oh. jeeeezzz! I was really worried about you, that’s why I decided to wait and see you first. Yeah, I need to run now…I will see you later Benny. Hope you don’t mind me calling you Benny…”

Benny told her that is fine by him.
She waved him goodbye as he entered his office and close the door.

Bianca was jumping for joy. She was making headway. Finally, she is achieving all she had dreamt of. Having Benny is a lifetime achievement for her.

She has one more thing to do.

She was going to use a hidden number and call Dorcas to inform her that her husband was having affair with a young beautiful model in school.

That will quickly throw them apart and scatter their marriage.

She waited patiently for him to return and kept looking through the window to know when he will be driving in.

It took another two hours for him to finally drove in.

She sat waiting, she can’t hold it all in.

He opened the main door and went inside

Everything between them has changed.
Before he will shout out “honey, I’m home” but not again.
The house was quiet and felt dry.

Everything has truly changed ever since the doctor announced that the baby didn’t make it.

The pain of evacuation can’t be measured to the heaviness she felt in her heart
It was too much to bear.
She can’t explain it in words.
No, words can’t explain exactly how she felt and still feeling.

All she heard Benny ranting repeatedly was
“Not again, not again God…not again”

Her heart broke into pieces.
She was battling the pain of losing her baby and a cheating husband.

Why, why will Benny be having affair.
She had suspected it, it has been her fear for long.
He was exposed to beautiful, smart, rich ladies. Some were young and inexperienced while others are well experienced with men.
He may try to escape their prowess and charms but it may not be for long.

Why is so painful is because she trusted him so much. Even though she had her doubts but she believes he was different and won’t stoop so low to have extramarital affair.

You of all people should know that fact. Not everything is hidden under the sun. With my years as a lawyer I have come to understand that no matter how you try to cover a fault, one way or the other it will be exposed and you can’t defend yourself when such happens because all evidence will be pointed right at you…”
Dorcas continued when he saw that Benny wasn’t making effort to engage her into an argument.

“…I was not enough, the baby that God used to wipe off our years of reproach wasn’t enough. None of what supposed to be of important mattered to you Benny. You threw off everything that we supposed to hold dearly, you threw it off into the waste bin without a single care. I’m surprised, more like a shock that you seem hurt. Why are you pretending to be heart broken after the doctor said the baby couldn’t make it? You’re supposed to be jumping jubilantly because that’s exactly what you wanted. How do you pretend to love God yet you’re so filthy and stink horribly. Oh Benny, you could have harvested my heart out of my chest and i will still find reason to Forgive and forge ahead but for everything you did to me, for taking the life I so much crave to hold, an innocent baby that with the help of God I was almost nurturing to the very end. For doing this to me I will never forgive you…”

Benny looked over at her for long. He swallowed hard severally as he battles with his emotions. Her every words cut deeply into him.
He face her and said calmly

“I could have understand and try to live with the whole guilt if truly I did any of those things you mentioned. I still maintain my stand that I’m innocent. Although that no longer count because no matter how I try to explain it, you won’t still believe me. I won’t deviate from loving the Lord or trusting him. He alone knows why…”

He paused as Dorcas gave a sarcastic laughter and continued bashing him with hurtful words.
Benny later fired back as he remembered what Bianca told him earlier.

” come to think of it, you were far more concerned with me and the fake pictures instead of you to be considering the baby’s life knowing well that your state of health matters in the situations. If you cared so much for the baby you could have controlled your anger. Instead you erupted like a volcano and destroy the only thing that was dear to our heart…oh to my heart because you never cared anyway…”

Dorcas stood angrily and fired back while pointing at him.
Benny walked out of the room, she followed and kept talking.

She later turned and went back to the room she moved to.
She fell to the ground and wept profusely.
She kept hitting the ground and weeping bitterly.

She did not come out for days and everything she needed was brought to her.
Benny kept asking of from his wife from the housekeeper.
He made attempt to go ones to check how she was doing.
It ended in another argument and bashing each other.
He only told her to take grip of herself
Dorcas fired back at him.

“You heartless being. You want to tell me how to grieve? You have no control over that and shouldn’t be here. Stay out of my way because a mare sight of you disgust me. I left the master bedroom for you, please go back there and don’t ever come to my space. I don’t want you close Benny. Get out… and make sure you stay out…”

Benny left and did not make efforts to check up.
He will rather ask the housekeeper about Dorcas.
Dorcas stayed there for days crying and questioning everything she trusted.

She one day cried so much and slept off on the cold tiles.
When she woke up the following morning she was lying on the ground and felt terribly ill.

The housekeeper knocked on the door before entering.
The woman was shocked when she realized that Dorcas couldn’t even get up from the ground she was shivering so badly.

The housekeeper run to inform Benny.

Immediately Benny was told of Dorcas health he rushed down to the room that she was occupying but Dorcas refused his help.
She asked him not to touch her. instead, Dorcas asked the housekeeper to help her to the bathroom.

Benny
asked the woman to leave.
He ignored Dorcas protest and carried her to the bathroom.
He helped her got ready before taking her to the hospital so that she can be treated.
While Dorcas was admitted, Benny sat on the hall way with his head in hand praying quietly with so much heaviness in his heart.
His phone beeped and it was a text message from Bianca but he ignored.
After sometime she started calling.
“, I’m very busy right now and not at home…I won’t be in school today or next. I need to clear my head seriously. I’m trying to set my home right back on track. Although that is proving difficult at the moment. I have informed the school authority that I’m taking sometime off from work. Thanks for checking up Bianca…but I will appreciate if you stop calling so that my wife won’t have the wrong idea. I lost my baby…I can’t afford lose my wife too…”

Bianca must have been pained from what Benny said.
After 30 minutes Bianca called Dorcas

Dorcas phone which was on a vibration, it kept vibrating.
She was asked to turn it off so that the drugs can work effectively.

She took it to turn off and saw several missed calls from the strange number just then another call from same stranger came in.
She thought of ignoring but got curious.
The caller asked her if husband was home and she said no.

Bianca started talking with the anonymous voice.
“Your husband is not home because he has gone to be with his side chick. The one he is having affair. I just saw them kissing and cuddling together in his car. Is so shameful and since I’m looking out for you. I thought I should inform you to be careful. Rumor has it that he planned to divorce and marry her since you can’t bear children. He does not love you and will never do. I’m looking at them right now. They’re still kissing and saying some romantic stuffs to each other…”

Dorcas ended the call confused.

She was quiet, Benny was supposed to hang around somewhere.

He just brought her to the hospital, so when exactly did he drove to the school and already kissing and making out with a girl in his car?
Dorcas asked her personal nurse to check if Benny was around.
The nurse returned that he was sitting in the hall way.

Dorcas wanted to be sure and asked her to call him in.
Benny rushed in and asked her if she was alright or need anything.

“I don’t need anything and I don’t need you here too. Please leave me alone…”

Benny turned, he paused when he got to the door and said.

“,If you need anything I’m at the hall way. And another thing… although it does not matter anymore but I will keep saying it. None of those pictures are real… I never did any of that and will never involve in such. I hate to see you in pain and will never deliberately do anything that will hurt you. I struggle to accept the fact that the baby is truly gone…i can’t lose you too…”

He
walked out. His last word touched Dorcas that she had to wiped off running down her face.
She turned off her phone and kept it far off.
It then dawn on her that her husband maybe saying the truth.
He may truly be innocent.
The anonymous caller was either after him or after her and she needs to find out.
The medicine took fully effect and she dozed off.

Back at home, Dorcas haven’t forgotten the anonymous caller and how she plan to search out who is behind it and why.

Normally, she could have told Benny and they plan on what to do but a whole lot of things were still not very clear when it comes to her husband.

She will have to do it all by herself.

Sitting at home was becoming very difficult.
Is more than a month already she needs to get out.
All she does is to mob around the house like a stranger and cry her eyes out.

She needed to step out and get some fresh air before all that is happening around her drive her insane.



Her husband had being asking her how she was fairing but after getting no reply he stopped asking and Dorcas also continue to snub him.

He didn’t bother asking again as they continue to live like strangers.

Dorcas called Anita her colleague and friend.
She informed her that she was coming over to the office

She got ready and drove off to work the following Monday.
Dorcas sat talking with Anita. She told her about the secret caller and how she planned to find out who the person is.

“Those pictures where so real Anita but Benny kept saying that is all photoshopped. And this strange caller…I don’t know Anita but there is something off with this whole thing. Okay…if the pictures aren’t real what of the video? Is that also video shopped…I don’t get it. Something is fishing and I’m going to find out…”

“I’m
not doubting what you said Dorcas, but what if everything is all fake. Maybe is a blackmailer trying to destroy your husband good reputation and family? You need to take it easy on him…I totally understand that you’re hurt from everything. You blame him for making you lose the baby and destabilizing you…I get you Dorcas but try to give him a listening ear. Listen without interruption. You said it yourself that the strange caller lied that Benny was kissing a girl right..in school unknown to the person that he was actually in the hospital with you. So you need to talk to your husb…”
Dorcas raised a finger in the air as she thought of something.

“,I know what to do…I have an idea Anita. There’s this girl that once contacted me for a legal advice. Yes, her name is Bianca and she is in the same university that Benny’s teaches. She might have seen or heard something about Benny. She also mentioned that she is one of his fans meaning she might have the answer that I’m looking for. I don’t need to look far, Bianca will have something and if she don’t I will ask her to be my eyes and ears around Benny. I will get to the root of all this with the help of Bianca…”

“Are you sure you want to do this? I don’t really think is..a fantastic idea. You need closure…? Said Anita looking lost.

Dorcas raised and the eye brow at Anita “closure? She said confused

“Yes, yes Dorcas. You both need closure… that’s talking about a fault until it’s resolved. You need to have a long talk with your hubby…”

Dorcas sighed and replied “talking won’t resolve anything. What I need to do is to swing into action. Action is all I need…I don’t know about him…”

Anita looks at her speechless.
Dorcas continued

“…is a grand idea Anita. Just watch and see I will come back with full evidence. Bianca appears smart, outspoken and Classy too. She will help me out. What i will do is to invite her over and the rest will be history…I will come back with testimony. I’m a lawyer and will not be push to a corner with hands tie. I will gather enough evidence from whoever or however I have to do it. And if is all a lie, I will dig hard until the culprit is apprehended and lock behind bars. Anita, I have seen too much pain. loosing my precious, mindless little angel has made me shrewd. I’m harder and difficult nut to crack now than before…I won’t relent until I understand exactly what is going on…”

Dorcas
try calling Bianca but she wasn’t picking up.
“… probably she’s in the class. I will call her again… maybe when I get home”
Anita nodded as she hopes everything works out fine.

Bianca wondered why Dorcas will be calling her.
She sat in her car thinking. “Have she figured me out? I hope not because my mission isn’t complete yet. No…no I’m too smart for her or Benny my love to figure anything out. But…I wonder why on earth Dorcas will be calling me…”

She stared at her phone for long before drivng off

When she got home she was not stable as she kept walking around the house talking to her self

She sent a message to Dorcas that she can’t talk where she was she should send her a message instead.

She waited for a reply but none came. She called Benny but he also didn’t pick up.



Just then Geni came back
“, Something is wrong… Dorcas called me today but I did not answer. I don’t know her reason for calling. Or have she being able to figure out who I am? Maybe she found out that I’m after her husband and wanting to wreck her home. Maybe after loosing her pregnancy she…

“Was she pregnant?? Geni interrupted with surprised face

“Yea. She was and I try to make sure that she lose it. Well you helped out too by perfecting your task. Although we decided to add more photoshopped pictures because yours wasn’t as raw as I wanted but I won’t totally write you off in all of this because you played your part well. Benny try to protect her from seeing the pics due to her health but she can’t protect her from me… that’s not possible. At the end, the pregnancy desolved into waste and that makes me very happy. I should be the one having Benny’s babies not her. Although Benny have been acting distance and cold towards me but I’m not relenting. I will think of a way to draw him closer. I did it before…I will do it again. My major concern is why this witch was calling me…”



Geni Sat hard on the chair and kept saying “she was pregnant…oh God I never knew…. She was pregnant…”

Bianca barked angrily “are you a fool Geni? All the things I have been saying you didn’t pick any important thing out and start thinking of a way to help me out, All you’re concerned about is her stupid pregnancy that’s now a history. What’s wrong with you? I’m telling you all this so that you think and tell me what to do. I texted her but she’s yet to…”



Just then her phone beeped. Bianca quickly checked and it was from Dorcas inviting her to come over to the house by weekend.

Bianca laughed “this is a trap. I’m not stupid enough to walk into a lions den. Something is smelly fishy with this whole thing. Dorcas refused me visiting her house initially when we first met. I tried all I could but she did not fall for it and all of a sudden… after so much has happened she decided to invite me over. Wow… and she thinks I’m a stupid little kid..?

Dorcas started calling. Bianca got ready for whatever she had to say.
After exchanging greetings Bianca said.

“I hope everything is alright ma’am…I mean with the invite?

“Yes, definitely yes Bianca. I need you to do me a big favor… please. Is about my husband. I will be very happy if you can help me out Bianca. Come over to the house on Saturday.. let’s talk it over with a cup of tea please…”

Bianca said she had plans for Saturday already but she will think it through and get back to her.

Geni begged Bianca not to go it may truly be a set up and once she’s caught they will come after her.

Bianca did not reply her as she decided to think it through carefully.



Bianca try to look out for Benny the following day. She want to know if there’ is any suspecious act playing.
Immediately Benny arrived that Friday morning Bianca approached him.

Benny was wearing a blue turtle neck sleeve with a blazer and chinos.
His appearance added more beauty to his personality.
Bianca started thinking of weird things in her head.
She crave for his touch more than before.
She walked up to him as he was headed to his office that morning.
Bianca made sure that she was close enough to feel his warm.



She greeted him wearing her best smile
“I have been worried sick bout you Benny. Did I do something wrong because you seem to be avoiding me. I’m sorry if acted annoyingly without knowing. You haven’t even fulfil your promise to me of telling me bout God and dinner too. I’m eager to know about God the more…”

She
deliberately brushed her hands against him. Wishing she can just whisk him away and keep him to herself.
Benny paused and said
” No Bianca. You did nothing wrong. I have alot going on with me and you have nothing to do with it. Give me time please…I will reschedule for our meeting but not right away. I will inform you when I’m free for that but as for now…I have alot I’m trying to settle with..”

His phone rang and he picked up while Bianca listened, as she hope is not Dorcas

“Yes, Charles you found it? Well…I don’t know about it because it was all sent to my wife and…yeah. yes is so disheartening. okay… the account, you have been able to unlock it? so we can actually trace down who is behind all of this? That’s fantastic. I won’t spare whoever that’s behind this. When… okay tomorrow is fine. I will see you then Charles…”

Bianca kept listening and her heart skipped as she thought of what the call might be about.



She wish to stay longer with Benny but after listening to the phone conversation she excused herself and ran off.



She needs to do something quick before her cover blows off.
And Dorcas was waiting for feedback which she haven’t decided on what exactly to do in her case. Their meetingsupposed to be the next day.

She has to first of all take care of the emergency that came in unexpectedly before any other thing.

He knocked on the door before going in
“Hey honey… how’re you?

She looked up from her phone and stared at him for sometime before replying

“I’m alright. What do you want…?

“Nothing, I only wanted to know how you’re doing. I…I miss you. I know alot have been going on but we can’t continue to live like this. Tomorrow is our wedding anniversary, can we atleast do something together. Maybe eat together or if you don’t mind we can go out for dinner in your best eat out joint…”

Dorcas head remain bent over her phone. She did not reply
Benny was quiet as he waited for her to speak but when she did not he continued and moved closer to where she sat



“…How long will you continue to be mad at me? Is almost two months and you’re still not ready to let it go. Honey… I’m innocent and have never touched another woman ever since we got married. I understand you had your fears… fear of me falling for another woman. I assure you that such thing will never happen. You’re going to be the mother of my children and no matter how many times we fail we will continue to try and someday God will perfect it all. This whole thing have made me drift away from God but this morning I asked for his forgiveness and promise that I will continue to trust his will for me and my family. Please, can you return back to our bedroom. I’m tired of living like a stranger with you. I miss waking up beside you, I miss holding your hands and thanking God for his numerous blessings. I miss kissing my baby girl, my loving wife, my kind partner… The only woman that understand me. The love of my life…I miss you…so much…”

He
bent over to kiss her Dorcas turned and said
“What are you trying to do? So all this boring cheap talk was so that you can convince me to return back to the master bedroom…? no that’s not happening soon. I’m doing my findings and until I confirm the truth in this whole saga I’m not believing anything you tell me. You have to wait until then Benny…”
“I don’t know how you’re going to do your findings but you should be careful. I don’t want you exposed to any danger. I’m already on it and Charles, a friend of mine that also works in the school called to inform me this morning that he has been able to unlock the blackmailer’s account and working towards linking it to the man behind the crime. He said he will sort it fully out by tomorrow. I will be going over in the morning to see him in his office. I will do all I can to find out who is behind all this and to truly prove to you that I’m innocent. I suggest you don’t do anything please. You don’t know who this person is and why he is after me…”

Dorcas did not reply as she return her full attention to her phone.

Benny stood and started moving towards the door.
Dorcas looked up and said



“You know why all of this isn’t affecting you like it should is all because you haven’t gone through the pain I go through each time I miscarried. My body is now like a laboratory dorm. I lay there like a sacrificial lamb while tears rain down my face. And each time even in pain all I think about is you as I wonder why I’m not lucky like other women and fear that you may someday leave me because I can’t get give you the very thing you pray so hard for. Well, that has been my concern until this last one, as I lay there in the hospital, all I wish for is just to… to disappear to a place I will never set eyes on you again. I hated you, the sight of you, your shadow and everything about you. Is all because of you I lose my angel. my baby would have still made it to nine months. By now we will be approaching my last trimester. But you allowed the devil into our home and lives. I try to believe you Benny that you are innocent of all this but the evidence keep pointing to another direction. Although I have come to agree that I’m on a cross road and that’s why I want to personally do my own findings and hoping is all lies like you said it is. I don’t know how to pretend like everything is well… I’m a broken woman Benny, a shadow of myself because of this whole thing…”

She
wiped tears from her eyes. Benny returned to her, he tried to hold her but she refused while tears continue to run down her face.
“, I’m sorry…so sorry honey. I deserve the hates but I’m pained because I’m innocent of all this. I love you and will never…ever hurt you. For the past eight years have I ever giving you reason to question or doubt my love or commitment. All we got is Love and trust. Please… you need to trust me, when I say I’m innocent that is what it is. By tomorrow I will show you evidence of my innocence…”

She didn’t say anything as Benny bent over again and try kissing her. She didn’t pushed him away this time rather she relaxed back in his arms.



The following morning Benny left to see Charles after having breakfast with his wife for the very first time in months.
He even gave her a present for the anniversary.
He promised to come back with evidence which will help them in apprehending the person and proving to her that he is innocent
He can’t wait for all of this to be over so that they can move on with their normal lives.

Benny drove off to see Charles but he wasn’t in his office which was unlike him.
Benny was heartbroken when he was told that Charles was shot last night and nobody knows if he’s dead.

Benny went back home deeply troubled.
Dorcas asked him about the evidence that he promised to return back with.
Benny told his wife what happened.

“What do you even take me for Benny? You assured me this morning that you will prove your innocence to me only for you to come back with another pathetic tales. Or…I must be a fool to have believed you or even allowed you touch me last night…”

Benny try to explain she shut him off and lock herself in the room.
Dorcas called Bianca again and she picked up and told her that she can’t make it to her place she should rather come to hers
Dorcas agreed to do so.
Bianca sent her an address.

Dorcas informed her that she will come over within the week and will call her any day she decides to come.

On Wednesday, Dorcas try calling Bianca but she wasn’t picking up.
She decided to drive to the address that Bianca gave her

On getting to the place, she walked into the gate and knocked on the door of the house.

A young lady startled the moment she opened the door and saw her



“My name is Dorcas, I’m here to see Bianca…I believe this is her place…”

“Yes ma’am but she’s not around at the moment.

“Well, can I sit and wait for her”Dorcas asked the young lady who seems unstable with her presence.

“Sure ma, although I don’t know when she will be back but please come inside”



She ushered Dorcas into the well furnished sitting room. And offered her drink but she declined and asked for water instead.



Dorcas couldn’t help but notice that the lady wasn’t comfortable with her presence.
Her hand was shaking as she brought the water. She was even stuttering with words. She was not comfortable looking into Dorcas eyes.
As an experienced lawyer she knew something was up.
She looked around the house but couldn’t see anything suspecious.

“Are you alright?
Dorcas asked concerned.

“Uhmm yeah. My name is Geni… I’m Bianca’s friend. Not really friend… she is accumulating me. You are Prof Benny’s wife… Right?

“Yea. Is there a problem…? Dorcas asked

“No.. no problem. Geni replied and quickly rushed off.

She appeared again and try to say something but turned back instead.



Dorcas called her back and asked her why she was acting weird.



She didn’t say a word but it appears she had alot to say but something was holding her back.

“Not really ma’am. I will like you to check around the house. Bianca’s room is where most of the answers lie. trust me ma’am, the answer you seek is right in this house. Quickly do so before Bianca returns please. I will step out. Stand outside to know when exactly she will be driving back then I will rush in to inform you, that’s if you’re still around but I suggest you hurry up and be on your way before she comes back…”

Geni
pointed at the door before stepping out.
Dorcas stood, not knowing what to expect.
She walk to the said door and opened it.

Bianca’s room holds the answer she is seeking, that was what Geni said and how does she know what she seeks?

Well, she will have to find out

Dorcas does not know what awaits her, she became afraid of the unknown as she walked into the room.

The room was a bit dark, not well ventilated.
She Saw the switch and turned the room light on.
It was very spacious with colorful wall painting.
She was looking around wondering what’s exactly Geni wanted her to see

She saw pictures pasted on the walls. Dorcas looked around the room with no clue of what exactly Geni wanted her to see.
Is Geni upto something? Dorcas wondered within her
“Everything I see here is far from the truth that I seek. Nothing is here to see except if Geni is hiding something.
I’m invading Bianca’s privacy while Geni is out there doing what I don’t understand. She is probably upto something… with the way she was looking all uncomfortable and unstable with my presence she is definitely hiding something and I will find out. She appears like a culprit…”

Dorcas said and took another look around the room before stepping out.

She went outside calling out to Geni.
Geni heard her name and rushed into the gate
“That was quick ma’am. hope you found what you came for. Bianca will be getting close by now and I’m happy it didn’t take long like expected…”

“What exactly do you think I’m searching for..? How do you even know what I came for? Right from the moment I stepped in I noticed you weren’t comfortable with my presence. You asked me to invade Bianca’s privacy for what reason exactly? while you ran to chill out here. Do I look stupid in your eyes? You’re obviously upto something and trying everything possible to cover up. Bianca probably doesn’t know the kind of bad friend that she is accommodating. Bianca is not safe with you around. I’m here to see Bianca and you can’t possibly deceive me this time…”

Geni’s


mouth was open as she stared at Dorcas speechless.
“Madam…I… Bian…uhmm you know what, follow me quick. Let’s go back to Bianca’s room. Please we need to hurry up…”

Dorcas refused going anywhere and insisted on waiting for Bianca so that she can discuss with her why she came and also to warn her about Geni.

“… ma’am you need to trust me. I’m only looking out for you and I will never deliberately hurt you. i want you to know the truth. I believe that’s why you’re here.? And the reason I asked you to go into Bianca’s room was for you to see the truth for yourself because you may not believe me if i tell you. We really need to hurry ma… Bianca is not to be toiled with. If she…

“Hold it there Geni or whatever your name is… there is absolutely no reason to trust you.” Dorcas interrupted.

“…. I know Bianca and all I see is a smiley pretty kind lady and you are obviously jealous of her. There was a day Bianca came to my office and happened to get this call from you I guess, you locked her out of her own house and I was the person that gave her money to lodge in a hotel. She wasn’t even mad at you, rather ready to stay in the hotel untill the next day. People like you take advantage of others generosity and that’s exactly what you are doing bu…”

Geni became speechless again. She needs to do something quick before Bianca returns
“Uhmmm, you’re right ma’am. You obviously don’t like me and I deserve it but I’m not a bad person. I might have done things I’m not proud of but I never meant to hurt you or anyone. Please, I’m begging you follow me inside I promise to show you enough evidence. Bianca may not be what she appears to be… please”

Dorcas, after much hesitation she reluctantly agreed to follow her houbackpack inside.

Geni dashed into Bianca’s room hurriedly.
She went straight to the walls where Benny’s pictures where pasted all over and showed Dorcas.

“Yes,


i know that’s my husband pictures but is not concrete evidence my dear Geni. You better have something more criminating aside this pictures. My husband have alot of fans, Bianca happens to be one of them and she did not hide that fact. Is obvious that she idolize him and I know for sure you are a fan to one or two celebrities. Is either you have their movies, music, pictures or whatever they’re popular at. all I see here is a big fan of my husband and that’s not against any law…”
Geni draw her attention to some of the things written and pasted around the room, the back of some of the pictures and papers and even on her mirror stand. Benny’s pictures were everywhere in the room.
on her laptop, beside, bathroom doors, wardrobe and other places.
Alot of things were also written on the back of the pictures and papers “I love you. you’re my everyday prince charming. father to my unborn kids. my god, the only one I worship. Your body is mine and mine is yours. if I have to kill the whole world to have you so be it. Your witchy barren wife does not stand a chance. If “dullcast” possess as a threat she becomes a history, I will end her miserable life once. No one can stop me from having you.

And so many other scary things written either on the paper or on Benny’s picture.

Bianca even went as far as attaching her picture to Benny’s own making it appear like they took the picture together.

Geni kept pointing at the rigours writing but Dorcas was focusing on a particular picture of Benny hanging on the wall.
She was not paying attention to Geni

“I haven’t seen this picture before but my husband really looks good here. I got him this shirt, I bought three of it with no special occasion, I just love it when he dresses well. after everything I did, I can’t believe Benny will hurt me…to the point of cheating. Is really sad and I’m going to find out the truth in all of this…if possible see the lady that he is having an affair with. Something caught her attention, she suddenly moved close to it and saw it was her picture. Death threats was written on it. The person even knew about her pregnancy and when she lost it.

Just then a voice startled them from behind.
As they turned, there she stood like the devil in a red dress.

A chill wind blew around Geni.

“What are you two doing in my room?

She asked while still standing and blocking the exit door.
Everywhere fell silent.
Only the sound of their speedy breathing was heard in the quiet and deadly room.

He tries to lay a complain at the police station for a missing person but they asked him to go home and after 48 hours and if the person is still not back then they will swing into action.

Benny informed them that is more than 24hours already. Her phone is switched off and her colleagues know nothing of her whereabouts.
He can’t go home when his wife is out there, probably in danger. He can sense it that Dorcas is in danger.

The police asked him to stop panicking, that is the police law that a missing person, especially an adult has to be gone upto 48 hours before it will be filed. and that is when the search team goes in search of the said person.
But a missing child takes only 24hours.
And since Dorcas is a full grown adult she can return anytime but if she didn’t then they will go looking for her after the time duration is over.

Benny drove to another police station but got almost same reply.

He walked out more frustrated.
“What is really going on? Charles got shot and now my wife is missing and nobody knows anything about her whereabouts…?

A call came into Benny’s phone and it was Bianca
Not now please. I’m not in the right mood for her chicchat
Benny said and ignored the call
Bianca kept calling and Benny had to pick up
“Hello Bianca, I’m totally not in a perfect state of mind right now. Maybe we talk later. Not today please…”

as Benny wanted to end the call Bianca said something that brought back his whole disturbed heart to the present
“I saw your wife…! Bianca said and waited for his reaction
“You saw my wife? When, where… how. Please tell me Bianca, you really saw my wife??

The call ended unexpected. Benny without wasting time started calling back but Bianca did not pick
After about three missed calls, she picked up.

“Yes, Benny I’m actually in a tight place right now and can’t talk. Allow me to call you back once I’m through with my present assignment…”

“Please Bianca, I can’t wait… just tell me any information you have about my wife. Anything at all…i want to have a clue of her last whereabouts. Please…”
Benny pleaded impatiently

Bianca smile before replying him.

“If you can’t wait until I’m done with what I’m doing then you have to come down here and meet me”

Benny agreed. Bianca sent her location address to Benny.

“This is a hotel Bianca. What are you doing in a hotel or is there a mistake in the address?
Benny called Bianca and asked

“No, that’s my present location. I needed a place far from my house, a quiet lone place that I can concentrate and work. I a very important personal work that I’m working on. Are you coming or not Benny…?

“Uhmmm…yea. yes I’m coming…”
Benny answered uncertain.

“Good, I will be expecting you then” Bianca replied before ending the call.

Benny drove down to the place. She called the receptionist to direct her visitor to her room.
In no time there was a knock on the door and she opened up
Benny stepped in, water was dripping down her body. A laptop on the table and a tiny box close to a long cushion chair.

Bianca was on a very short towel wrapped around her waist. Her hair poured down to her shoulder and water was all over the body.

“I was kinda hot, stressed from working all night with no rest. I decided to take a quick shower before you come down, to avoid body odor… you know what I mean?

She said smiling and her smile was quiet inviting but Benny was not in the mood for either the smile or the half naked body.
She asked him what he will like to take but Benny told her he only wants the information she has of his wife.

room was very cold. It appears that the air condition was turned on to the highest so how exactly will Bianca be hot in such an atmosphere
“, Okay, so should I wait outside while you get dressed or you wouldn’t mind telling me where you saw my wife. Please get on with it so that I will be on my way. I don’t really have any time to waste…”

Bianca brought out her undies and display them on the bed.

She deliberately allowed the towel to slip to the ground.
Benny quickly looked away as she exclaimed quietly before slowly picking up the towel and instead of wrapping back her naked self she dropped it on the bed.
Walked naked to a wardrobe, return back to the bed without picking anything.
She later walked past Benny to a box close to where he sat.
Benny stood and said with an angry tone while trying to avoid looking at Bianca’s naked self

“Can you please get some clothes on Bianca. My wife is out there and probably in danger. This is the second day and police can only go into searching for her by tomorrow not today. I can sense it to my bone marrow that she is not alright. When you told me you saw her, that was the tiniest hope I wanted to hold onto but with all this your naked parade time is going. When exactly do you want to tell me what you know about her whereabouts. Don’t you care at all that she may be in trouble. Please, let’s get on with the reason that I’m here so that I can leave…”

“I don’t expect this harsh words Prof Benny. walking around naked is because is the same thing I do in my private space. And if I invite you to my personal corner is because I trust you. I trust you Benny and I don’t expect you to do anything, rather wait for me to be through with my dressing so that I can tell you what I know about your wife. Did I come to you or invite you to come and eat my body? I did none of that.. yet your words sound more like accusations to my ears. I’m not your enemy…I only want to help you Benny. Because that’s what I do…I have helped you before and will do it again. And before you ask why, I’m your biggest fan and your wife was nice to me in the past and helped me when I needed it. That’s why I will continue to look out for both of you. I did not expect all this words you threw at me… like a street harlot…”

Bianca said the last word forming fake emotions in her voice and acting she was going to start crying.

“I’m sorry if I said anything that hurts your feeling. I really need to find my wife Bianca. Can you quickly get dressed first… because this whole thing does not appear very serious with you walking about naked. Finding my wife is my top most priority right now, is very serious to me and if you truly want to help then we should be be on it already. Asking me to wait while you walk around naked is making me loose my patient..”

Bianca saw that her whole tactics weren’t yielding bountifully like she had wish she decided to wear a short top with nothing under.
She sat on the bed with her leg crossed, her whole thigh was in full view.

“I’m sorry Prof Benny if my innocent appearance came out wrongly. Please sit down let me tell you what I know.

Benny asked her to go on, he feels more comfortable standing.

“I saw her in the school on Wednesday. She called me and said she wanted to know the lady that you were having an affair with…”

Benny nodded expecting more. He knew his wife can do that.
“Yes…yes…so what did you tell her? Benny asked impatiently

“…. well, I told her the truth. I let her know that you weren’t seeing another woman. I even told her that the pictures where photoshopped and not real after she showed them to me but she did not believe me. She insulted me and said I was trying to cover you up. She said that she will never trust you and had it in mind to divorce you. She showed me a doctor, Ham is what she called him. He’s about forty five years, he is black and wears glasses. I don’t know if you know any doctor like that? Well your wife said that’s the man she trust and once she leaves you then the doctor will become everything that you are not to her which includes father to her future babies. She said she will never forgive you for killing her baby in the womb. It was all because of you that she lost the pregnancy and no matter what she will never ever forgive you. Dorcas let me know that she can forgive every other thing but will never overlook infidelity. That you’re only wasting your time with her. Her mind is already made up and the marriage is over already and as a lawyer she is already drafting out the divorce papers. Your wife said if I happen to see you in school I should inform you that is over. She also gave me something to give to you…”

remained quiet and speechless. He can’t believe that Dorcas will say all of this to Bianca.
He shakes his head sadly and asked her to bring whatever Dorcas gave her.
Bianca opened her bag and brought out Dorcas wedding ring.
She handed it over to Benny.
Who stared at it in disbelief.
Bianca was right then with all she said. The ring in his hand was that of Dorcas.

“Did she mention where she was going or anything about her whereabouts. I need to speak with her. She can’t possibly threw everything we had away… ending eight years of marriage just like that. Did she say where she was going…?

Bianca boiled angrily. She can’t believe that Benny still wanted to see her after everything she just told him even gave him prove with the ring.

“I don’t know Benny, I don’t know. She never said anything. I asked her but she did not tell me. Maybe she felt she had said more than enough to me. I guess she is with the doctor. His name is Ham. Maybe you should go look for her over there…”

“I don’t know any doctor with such name or anyone at all with the description. I… I can’t believe Dorcas will do this. No ..no. I understand she was angry but this whole thing is unlike her. Is not like my wife… the woman I trust and loved for a decade now. Dated two years before getting married… the Dorcas I know will not just take off like that. She did not even touch any of her personal stuff. I’m still worried that something maybe wrong. Charles was shot just when I was about to know who is behind all of this. He called to inform me that he finally digged up the culprit and I was very happy. I told my wife that morning that I will return with the truth. I drove to meet Charles only to be told that he was shot by unknown person. Returning home heartbroken my wife did not believe me. She called me a liar and said she will get the truth out by herself. She doesn’t trust or believe anything I say. Bianca, thanks for your help but something is still not adding up. This whole thing is not clear to me. I will leave now…”

As he walked out, his phone started ringing.

He went back the following day to inform them that she did not show up.

They asked him to provide the necessary information and he did.

"...so her friend, Anita called you yesterday and said your wife made mention of going to see a student in your school who also happens to be her clients. To get information if you're cheating on her or not?
A police officer taking down the information asked Benny who nodded affirmatively.

The police continued reading out the information to his hearing.
"... and her name is Bianca. And this same Bianca invited you over to a hotel to confirm what Anita said, she was acting weird initially right in the hotel room. And later gave you your wife's wedding ring with the information that she was no longer interested in the marriage...?

Benny kept nodding and wishing the police officer can hurry up with the whole thing.
",... why didn't you believe the lady, Bianca? even after she hand the ring over to you..."

"I don't officer. I know my wife and that's unlike her. Something isn't right... the whole thing is fishy..." Benny replied.

"Alright we will start our search right away. But first, give us this Bianca's mobile number and any information you know will be helpful in our investigation. Also your wife's colleagues will be brought in for questioning. We will do all we can to find your wife...be reassured.

Benny provided the information before leaving.
He went back to his car.
He held his two palms together, shut his eyes and prayed silently.

"The Bible in psalm 91 said you will not let our feet to be strike on a stone' pestilence will not come close to our dwelling, you promised to give your angel charge over us. Your words is the only confident I have Lord and that's where I stand this hour to say wherever my wife maybe at this moment I'm believing by faith that your angels are surrounding her and will not allow any harm to come close to her. We have both been through so much in our lives...I know sorrow may last for a night but joy comes in the morning. I know our morning will definitely come but until it arrives I ask that you keep my wife safe wherever she maybe. Forgive me oh Lord for allowing my personal problems to take your place in my heart...."

Benny heaped a sigh, he placed his head on his car steering and continued to pray.

Bianca was first invited in for questioning.
She was very calm and did not show any sign of fear or guilt all through.

She even sometimes flashed them her pretty smile, making it appear all innocent and sweet.

They later let her go but not after putting all statement down and marking her not guilty.
Anita and other colleagues also came in for questioning.
None seem to be guilty.

The police still went further to search Bianca's house but nothing was found.

The police informed Benny that Bianca is not a suspect and from the story that they were told Dorcas was with her lover and do not want to have anything to do with him again.
Bianca told them the same story that she told Benny.

The police told Benny to try and start accepting the fact that Dorcas has gone to be with another man due to his infidelity and several miscarriage saga.

They still promise to leave the case open and will continue their investigation slowly until they see and hear from Dorcas.

Benny did not believe and although he decided to go with whatever the police said but he was also putting more efforts to know where his wife maybe.
He didn't stop there, he backed it all up with continues prayers.

Bianca called him one day and said.

"I can't believe you will put my names among the suspects of your wife's disappearance. Prof Benny, I understand you loved your wife and I admire that about you and also hope that I will get a man like you who will love me with all his soul. I have helped you in the past and got rid of all the Photoshop pictures before it circulate. I know I was a bit late and it got to your wife but i really tried to avoid such. I try to convince your wife that you are innocent but she was head bent on leaving you. I even get insulted in the process. I just couldn't believe that you put my name up for suspects and they came to my house with search warrants. How could you when I mean well for you and your family?
She began to weep quietly

Benny heaped a sigh before saying.

"Listen Bianca, don't take it too hard. My wife is missing and anybody can be a suspect in this case. You were not the only one invited for questioning. Yours is that you happened to be the last person to see her that Wednesday and with what you did back in the hotel it makes you appears suspecious. How could you invite me to a hotel, instead of telling me the reason why I was invited you started parading naked with no intention of putting on clothes... all in the name of "your private space" or whatever you said, can't actually remember. I'm sorry that i read wrong meaning to all of that act. sorry, but my wife is still out there and I don't know where exactly and I intend to find out. No one can take the place of my wife in my life...kids or no kids I love Dorcas and I will continue to dig untill the real truth resurface and if at the end Dorcas truly went to be with another man...I will respect that. She deserves to be happy with whoever she wants to be with. But until I confirm the real truth in all of this, I won't stop searching for her..."

"I'm sorry too Prof for what happened at the hotel. I meant no harm, and will never try to take the place of your wife. I understand how hard this whole thing is and I hope that soon it becomes a history. Just to prove that I meant well, I have already reported the matter to a different police station as a fresh case. They will like to speak to you by tomorrow. I promise everything will be alright soon because this officers are filled with actions. I'm ready to provide any information that will help in this case..."

Benny was taken aback with what Bianca said.
"You did all of this for me? I really appreciate Bianca. This means a whole lot. Thanks..."

Few days later, Benny met with Bianca's officers.
Two men in uniform and they asked him to provide every information needed on the missing person case and Benny did.
He was hopeful that this new officers will find Dorcas.
Bianca was with him all through and also gave her own information.

She even asked them to search her apartment but Benny told him that it's not necessary anymore.

Benny try not to give room for any unwanted closeness with Bianca

That really got her pissed. even after every thing, all her efforts Benny remained unbending to her charms.

She was not going to give up just like that.
If she can't have Benny then no one can.

Benny happened to get a call one day and the caller identify himself as Charles.
Benny screamed excitedly knowing that Charles survived the shot.
Charles informed him that he was far away in an undisclosed place after the shot and that is where he was being treated.

"Did you inform anyone at all about me working on digging up the person behind the Photoshop? because whoever that shot me is closer to you than you think..."

Benny told him he didn't tell anyone aside his wife. And his wife does not know any details of him. Benny even told him that his wife have been missing for weeks now.

"Prof, the person that shot me does not want you to know the truth. Is a woman and she was on a mask and made me destroy every information I found before shooting me. Is not a man like we initially thought and this person maybe closer to you and probably pretend to be a friend. She thought I'm dead but I managed to get a quick help. I know what she sound like though. She is probably the one that kidnapped your wife. If you want to catch a thief then you have to act like a thief. Use this information well Prof Benny and becareful because whoever that is behind all of this is dangerous..."

After the call Benny, stood still thinking hard.
Deadly breeze blew cold air around Benny.
His phone suddenly dropped from his hand to the ground.
The picture became more clearer and immediately fear grip him.

Bianca was the only one fitting perfectly into the whole scene.

She turned on her car ignition and drove off
She kept driving until she got to a secluded building on a bushy part.
She parked at a distance, looked around to make sure that no one was following her.

She went straight to where she kept her prisoners.

Geni saw her coming and stood.
"How's my prisoner? She asked with a frown

"She is in the cell where you put her. Geni replied still standing.

", Good, you need to keep a close look because your life depends on it..." Bianca said while patting Geni on the shoulder.

She walked past her and went straight to the cell.
She brought out the key to the cell door, unlocked and went inside.

Dorcas startled the moment she entered. She sat up from the tiny bed on the ground where she lay with a long chain on her ankle which was locked to a standing pole

", Bianca, please...I need a medical attention. I don't feel so good. I already informed Geni but she said she can't do anything until you come over. I'm seriously sick... please. I'm pleading..."

Bianca laughed out sarcastically.

"Then your death is quicker than I intended. I was already planning on what to do with you. I was thinking of bullet or poison but with this update of yours I don't have to stress it again. I will only watch and wait until whatever you're suffering from kills you faster.

Dorcas pleaded as she kept shivering.

"You can cry, scream out your lungs nothing will happen because no one can hear you. If I can't have Benny then nobody...I repeat nobody will have him. If you want to still be alive for a longer period then do everything I tell you or your death will come sooner..."

Bianca kicked a plate with half eaten food out of her way as she walks out.

She double locked the cell, put the keys back into her bag before walking towards Geni who was still standing.

"Listen, your only work here is to put eye on her. Take care of that witch and don't try anything funny or your entire family will go down six feet. I will hurt your mother, father and siblings. I'm glad that you know what I'm capable of. Try not to mess with me Geni... you're also my prisoner but with a job, taking care of another major prisoner is your task, do it well and I may make life fair to you.."

She winked Geni with a smile before walking out, straight into her car and zoomed off.

Immediately she was gone, Geni rushed to Dorcas to speak with her from an open hole on the wall of the cell.

"I'm sorry ma'am. what did she say...did you inform her that you are not feeling fine? Bianca is deadly and I really don't know what she intend to do with us. I'm afraid of my family. I don't want any harm to come to them. I'm equally afraid for you ma'am...I don't want Bianca to hurt you more than she already did..."

Dorcas looked at the high window and asked Geni what day it was

"This is the third week, almost four weeks that you have been here. I know that Bianca changed location because police maybe tracking her..."

"God, how did I get myself into this. Why did I not see it coming. God, please...if you can get me out of this, I promise to be a better daughter to you, a better wife to Benny and I will rededicate the rest of my life serving you. Please...I need to leave this place..."

Geni gave a resounding Amen.
Dorcas continued
"Who am I kidding, I'm really sick Geni..I don't know if I can make it out of this place alive but I will fight hard. I want to see Benny again...I don't know how he is dealing with this whole thing. Who knows the lies Bianca had feed him. The other day she brought pictures of her naked self and Benny in a hotel room. I don't believe anything that she said. If all of those pictures of Benny having an affair were all photoshopped then anything is possible. That girl is capable of anything. I just want to get out of here alive. Oh my poor Benny, if only I can see him now and tell him how sorry I am to have doubted him. How stupid I was not have seen the whole truth staring at me....I..."

She began to weep.
Geni who couldn't get to her could only console her with suiting words.

"Is not your fault ma'am. Anybody can easily fall for Bianca's charms. Her Smiles and innocent face is decisive. She is a perfect match for wolf in sheep clothing or snake in a green grass. Her smile and innocent face is a camouflage. Those pictures appears very real and if you know nothin about picture you won't dictate that they're fake. I'm sorry that I agreed to her madness. I was one of her first practical that she used to get to Prof Benny. I needed the money, and agreed to play her game. I regretted everything and I never knew you were pregnant ma'am. I'm sorry you're in this whole mess. Even though we're in it together but I deserve it all but you don't deserve any of this ma'am..."

Dorcas was quiet. After sometime she said.
"Is okay Geni. You're a good girl and I misjudged you and thought Bianca is the saint. now everything is more clear and by God's grace we will survive this. I'm hungry can you get me something to eat and maybe an aspirin?

"Yes ma'am. I still have some food left but I don't have any aspirin and Bianca is not ready to supply any. But I will talk to her. I will tell her that my head aches badly.

"Thanks Geni. Your words gives me courage. God will rescue us from this dungeon just like he did during the time of Daniel..."

Geni nodded affirmatively before saying.

"Several times I had you praying in here and you sometimes sing. I was hoping to ask you to tell me about God. Well, I'm not much of a believer but I want to be. Listening to you when you pray, how you include God in our talk, bring up this hunger in me. I wish to know more about him if you don't mind..."

Dorcas agreed and told her they will start the next day.

After another week past, Dorcas became more ill.
She wasn't sure what was wrong with her until another week came and went.

She called Geni and said to her

"I think I'm pregnant. I wasn't certain before but is becoming clearer. My body is reacting to many things at the moment and most of what I feel is just the same symptoms I get each time I happen to be pregnant. I'm afraid that I maybe pregnant..."

Geni was shocked.
"Pregnant...oh my God. You can't be here...I need to find means to get you out of this place. Jesus... you're really pregnant? How...I mean when...I..I don't understand. please don't take offense ma'am... I'm only shock..."

Dorcas relaxed back to the wall with a heavy sad sigh.
Her only prayer is that help comes soon otherwise Bianca will harvest the baby out of her womb.

How did she even get pregnant. She can't really remember when last she met with Benny.
Because she had been angry with him.
Even the day to their anniversary that they had a long talk

",Oh yeah, that must be the day. Oh my God...it was that day.

She was very mad at him the following day when he came back with the news that the person that supposed to vindicate him was shot.
She never believed anything he said and refused speaking with him again until she found herself in the mess that she was presently in.

She was not interested in getting pregnant again after the last one and even if it has to happen definitely not in this condition.

No phone, no power, no human noise heard around.
How will she get out of here.
Bianca must not know of the pregnancy or her death will come quicker.

"God, how did you allow this to happen to me. Why do you want to punish me with another pregnancy? How exactly am I supposed to survive this whole ordeal with pregnancy. How... just how. Or maybe is not actually pregnancy...is just some symptoms. I have been ill for weeks, it could be the illness...it can't be pregnancy. i don't easily fall pregnant. It takes months and even years. This can't be...no it can't be...".

Benny only touched her once during this whole trouble.
Her body doesn't work that way so there is every possiblity that she is not pregnant.

Dorcas prayed and hope that what she feels is just some normal illness otherwise it will be very bad.
Bianca will skin her alive if she finds out.

She really went overboard and had left a deep cut in his heart.
He did not only loose his mind, he lose his baby and now his wife.
She gradually tricked her way into their lives without them even noticing.

Always Charming, innocent appearance and that smile of hers that can make one mistake her to be an angel.
Bianca was a “she devil” behind all of his recent misfortune and she never acted or even appeared as a suspect.

She was always smiling and wanting to help out each time he needs help.

What could be her reasons for all of this

That’s the exact question that has given him a sleepless nights.
Did he or Dorcas offended her in some way unknowingly that made her go to this length to deal with them.
She striked real hard, with no consideration.

If truly Bianca is behind all of this then she is inhuman, brutal and another version of a real devil.

Benny kept thinking. No.. no…it can’t be… except she is some lunatic…”

Benny do not want to believe what his mind was telling him.
“….it can’t be because she is interested in me that will make her do all she did. Try to destroy my life, my family and everything I hold dear…no, it can’t be just because of that. Except if Bianca is mentally deranged or something worst…”

heaped a long sad sigh, sat hard on a chair, looked at his phone uncertain.
“…i know what I had to do, I need to know if Bianca is truly behind all of this and why. Why will she want to destroy my home, probably kidnapped my wife and keeping her hostage somewhere. But… the police searched her apartment and saw nothin suspecious. If not Bianca who else will do all of this? I don’t believe Dorcas took off like that and gave Bianca her wedding ring. Dorcas will rather say everything to my face when she is angry and will never give such personal details to Bianca, also her ring to deliver to me. Even though Bianca sound convincing but I’m not buying those cooked up stories of hers because that’s unlike Dorcas. I must get to the root of all this and sooner the better…”

He sent a quick text message to her, informing her that he wasn’t feeling well.

Bianca called immediately.

“You’re sick…is it serious? What will you want me to do… tell me and I will do it…”

“Tell me where you are and I will come and meet you…? Benny said

There was excitement in Bianca’s voice as she replied.

“I think you should rather tell me where you are and I will come and get you. I don’t want you stressing yourself out…”

Benny insisted that he wants to come to her place.

“My place is quiet a distance, maybe we could chill out at one of my best eat out. But that’s if you don’t mind” Bianca replied

Benny agreed, but told her it will be by tomorrow. He wants to get to the hospital first to check what was wrong with him.

Benny went to the police and informed them of his recent discovery and how he intend to find out the truth.
He also mentioned how she brought two fake police men for him.

He did an entry in the police station for his safety and told them how he planned to go about the whole thing so that he can get to the real truth.
A concrete evidence that Bianca is the one.

The police said he will need to wear a recording gadget
He should be careful too so that Bianca will not notice that she was being recorded for the sake of his safety.

And


if he suspect that his life maybe in danger he should quickly inform them so that they can come in.
Benny thanked them, he collected the tiny recorder which he will hang in his inner wear carefully.

Later the following evening Bianca called him and he informed her that he was coming.
Bianca sent her location address to him.

Benny drove down to meet her. It was a private VIP winery.

“I almost thought that you were not coming again. How is your health?

Benny appeared sober, with brokenness in his voice. He tried as much as possible to perfect his acting in order not to be suspected.

“I think my wife was truly cheating on me…is part of the things that broke me down…”

Bianca became very interested and readjusted in her seat.
She urged him to continue

“…my doctor revealed to me recently after much examining that I can’t get a woman pregnant. So, that made me went into deep thinking. Somebody must be pregnanting Dorcas because is definitely not me. Even though the doctor said that I have to do a surgery before my semen will become active, I’m considering doing that. I’m already on meds. My main reason is that Dorcas is not a good wife. She was probably seeing another man outside and just thinking of it makes me want to faint…”

He bent his head and pretend to be sobbing.
Bianca came to him and was gently massaging his shoulder, her hands traveled down his back as he comfort Benny.

She said while comforting him
“There’s no “probability” in it. Dorcas is having an affair. She is a terrible person to have caused you so much pain. A pretender and lying witch…oh, I’m sorry I called her that but I feel so terrible watching you in pain that she caused. I wish… well, let me not say the exact thing I have in mind because I don’t want you to start thinking otherwise….”

“, No… feel free sweetie, I hate her so much. I wish I can see her face to face and tell her how terrible she is. The pain in my heart is so heavy. I can’t believe she will do this to me. Come to think of it, I never loved her, she nags, she is always messy, she even snores whenever she sleeps. She has always tries to manipulate me…if I start telling you what this woman has been doing yet I overlooked. If not that you said she was processing the divorce papers already, I could have done so myself. I don’t want to ever live in the same house with her. I wish I can see her face and tell her all of this. This pain she caused me is too much…I…”

Benny held his head and pretend to be weeping.
Bianca came romancing him from head down to his back.

She kept cursing Dorcas while consoling Benny
Benny removed her hands gentle and held it in his palm

“…Bianca, I sometimes wish I have somebody like you in my life. Sometimes I imagine your sexy, pretty, cute smile and smart being and how awesome you have been to me. Thanks sweetie… you’re absolutely the best. If I ever get married again, I want my future wife to have all your attributes…”

Bianca’s head was blown away with all that Benny was saying to her.
Could this be a dream or reality

She threw her hands around Benny and kissed him unexpectedly.

Benny almost threw up from the way Bianca was smooching him.
He suddenly coughed and spit into the tissue on the table.

“This is the best thing I have ever heard ever since I set eyes on you. I have been looking forward to hearing this very words that you just said but when I saw how Dorcas occupied the largest part of your heart I felt real pained. I thought I will never get to hear you say this sweet words to me or I even get to kiss and hug you. I feel fly, like I’m ontop of the world right now. You don’t understand how much those words means to me. Oh, I know Dorcas won’t have you for long…. and finally I’m getting back what that is mine. Benny, you’re mine and mine alone. To hell with Dorcas. Now, I can actually relax back because the battle has been won…”

Benny kept watching her jubilate. He said to her
“You mean you have been interested in me all this while and you never told me? you don’t even know if I felt the same way about you but waiting for you to take the first step. Now, I understand why I used to see you in my dreams. I will be holding your hands while walking down the aisle in our wedding attire….”

Bianca
quickly interrupt excitedly “you mean you usually see me in your dreams? Wow… this feeling is everything. You know I try to pass the message to you how much I needed you but you didn’t get it, you’re so carried away with that useless ex wife of yours. When I invited you to the hotel and walk around naked I wanted you to get a clear message but your head was buried in Dorcas. Many times I tried, my love but you didn’t get it. It was because of you that made me contact Dorcas for legal advice and was hoping to come into your home through that means but that witch wouldn’t let me close….I will tell you the extent I have gone just to have you next time. We can both lodge in a hotel tonight and celebrate, and for the first time you will get to eat my body and it’s sweetness. I taste like heaven and there is no woman as sweet as I am. You can confirm for yourself. I’m all yours and you’re all mine. I have longed for such moments. I’m not going to take any chances again. Let’s go now…”
Benny suddenly started coughing. He later said
“I also wish to have you all to myself sweetie, I want to have a taste of your delicious body but the doctor who already booked me for treatment said I can’t be with a woman untill I’m fully confirmed whole and hearty. Is going to take little time and we will enjoy each other fully… alright?

Benny pecked her and stood. He announced to her that he was leaving

“You can’t go now my love…I still want to be with you. Stay with me a little while let’s enjoy each other’s company and fantasy…”

Benny said he will be around anytime she needs him but he want to go and rest before the aspirin he took before coming out start kicking in.

Bianca agreed.

She hugged him so tight, kissed him before Benny managed to break free with a smile.

He went back to his car drove off, when he was out of sight he started spitting out saliva that he stored in his mouth after Bianca kissed him.

He later drove off and straight to the house. The first thing he did was to brush his mouth and shower before going to listen to his record.

He silently watched her laughed so hard from her own lame joke which wasn’t funny to him but he managed to forcefully gave a smile as she went on and with the whole stale tale.

“Yesterday afternoon at the eat out joint you mentioned cropping out my head to add to another person’s body just to make up a sexual posture of me in a Photoshop. Isn’t that much of a work…it literally took you several days to make it all look convincing….” Benny said while waving it off like he was unbothered.

She paused from laughing and said sternly
“, I’m begining to sound like some broken tape with all this repetition of what I previously said. Yesterday you asked me what I said on our first date, and I can’t even recall what I said. You reasked me questions that I have already answered. I don’t get it Benny… you are beginning to appear like a frienemy to me… are you in anyway recording my conversation with you?

Benny was seriously startled from Bianca’s question
His heart suddenly dropped, sweat broke out of his forehead.
“Whaaaattt?? That was the only word that left his mouth.

Bianca continued, ignoring his shocked face
“Come to think of it you don’t even like kissing me and when I kiss you it appears like you just ate lemon for the first time with your spoilt facial expression or something far more bitter. I have seen you pour out saliva after a kiss and turn down any invite that will warrant us spending a night together. Or is that part of your doctor’s prescription? I’m not stupid Benny and don’t make me appear like one because I know what I’m saying. I’m actually very observant just in case you don’t know…”

appeared speechless at first but refused to agree to the obvious truth.
That will put him and Dorcas in danger.
Knowing that Dorcas is alive, he will do anything to get her out of the devil’s claws.
Benny eased up with a smile and said
“, Come here sweetie, don’t be crazy. come and seat on my laps. Let me carry you like the baby that you are…”

Bianca refused coming. Benny drew her close to him
She grudgingly came

“…how can you say stuffs like that sweetie? That’s a crazy thought. I was only concerned that you went through so much just to have me. Why don’t you trust me? That’s my phone here.. you can check it to be sure that I’m clean. I even saved your name on my phone with “my angel” and saved Dorcas name with her just her name..”

“Let me see..” Bianca said smiling.

Benny took his phone and showed her.

Bianca frowned as she saw the saved name
“That’s my angle… not my angel. check the spelling and correct it now. also if you really want to prove to me that you’re clean then save your ex wife’s name with “ugly witch” do it now.

Benny nodded and did as she asked.
Bianca smiled and said

“…Good. Now kiss me and mean it. I’m not talking about pecking on the cheek like you used to do. I’m talking about french kiss. The type you used to kiss your ugly ex wife in the bedroom. I want that type…”

Benny heaped a silent sigh and kissed her.
“,…That’s not very good but I will pardon you. Probably you and your ugly ex wife used to do the authodox style. I will teach you to be a crazy, passionate kisser like me and bedroom arithmetic styles..”

Benny smile and replied “I will love to learn from you my angel. Dorcas wasn’t fun at all, she is not anything like you. I will really love to learn everything but wait until I’m fully better and my doctor confirms me fit.”

“What if you you’re just using the doctor thing as an excuse to avoid bedroom pleasure from me…” Bianca asked

acted fast by pretending to be offended.
“I feel insulted by your words. Even though I have try to prove to you that I’m out for real and no faking yet you are finding it hard to believe me. If I don’t want you I won’t be here. I will be either looking for Dorcas or moving on with my life. Alright, you can take my phone and ask my doctor if is okay for me to get intimate with a woman and if he says I can which I know he won’t then we’re good. I just started treatment and I’m asked not to do anything that will make me arouse. I’m trying to avoid that and that’s why I don’t want to get deeply involve for now. No woman has ever understood me, my wife tries but she still doesn’t and I expected better from you…not all this questioning and making me do stuffs just to prove a point to you…”.
Bianca quickly apologize.
“Hey my love, I’m sorry… alright? Refer to Dorcas as your ex wife not your wife. I believe you forgot…I will overlook that expensive mistake. If you happen to see her now what will you tell her…”

“I will tell her that she is a wicked, uncaring, heartless, cheat, lying and lazy woman I have ever met. I will tell her that you, Bianca is a better lady than her in different ways and I cherish you in this whole wide world…”

Bianca fell into a deep laughter. Before saying
“,I will take you to go and see her tomorrow and you must say all of this things you just said now to her face. If you try to have a rethink about it I will shoot her dead and shoot you too. Don’t underate me. If you try to play smart with me Dorcas will be dead and that’s a promise…”

Benny laughed out sarcastically.
“I will even say much more. You really don’t have anything to be afraid of sweetie. Learn to trust me and be different from others…”

Benny later informed her that he was going to the hospital for his evening dose.

He left after kissing her goodbye.

Benny intend going to the police straight to inform them of the new development and for them to be at alert and ready to rescue his wife
He had gathered enough evidence, recorded enough secret, is time to get ready for the rescue.

Unknown to him that Bianca fixed a tracker on his car.
As Benny was leaving Bianca called one of her men to follow him
She wants to know if he was truly going to the hospital or her instinct was right about him.
Is time to find out and if he was faking the whole affection for her his wife will be dead by tomorrow morning.

Bianca relaxed back as Benny drove off.

He checked again but he still wasn’t sure.
The red Honda kept a far distance but from his side mirror he noticed every turning he makes the Honda follows and still kept a distance.

He was not certain if he was being followed or not.
It could be a coincidence, maybe the Honda driver happens to be going the same direction with him. Is nothing serious.

Benny said a very silent prayer while driving
No words was heard, only his lips were moving.
He prayed that God will put an end to all this trouble and give them victory. He also prayed that God will protect Dorcas and give her the strength to carry on. He asked God to bestow more wisdom to him so that he will be able to defeat Bianca and all her tactics.

After two turning the next will be linking to the police station. He needed to do a duplicate of the recording card. He will keep a copy and give them the original or better still keep the original and give them a copy.
He will do all of that at the station.

Benny checked his side mirror again and noticed the Honda was still driving behind him.
Different thought crossed his mind.
What if Bianca sent somebody to monitor his movement.
She is capable of anything and very intelligent in her dealings.
She is evil genius, one of the smartest person he has ever come across.

Benny

gave her lots of credit, he never thought she will be a hard nut to crack, she is even harder than he thought.
He also needs to upgrade his game plan because soon Bianca will be going down.
Ones he hand over the whole recording to the police, which is filled with strong evidence that will nail her for life.
If that is accomplished, Bianca will be apprehended and that will be her very end.
Benny took his phone to update the police of his coming but felt awkward and decided to wait.

He try calling again but network failure, the call was not connecting.
he decided not to try again.

The last turning leading to the station was in view.
He changed his mind from going to the station.
Benny thought of what to do, he saw another unfamiliar road and entered, he doesn’t know where it will lead him to but he will keep driving.
He drove out to an express road that he was familiar with and continued from there.

He head straight to the hospital instead.
He was not going to blow off his cover just yet.
He can’t take any chances at all.
Even if his thoughts were wrong he won’t let down his guard.

The Honda driver maybe an innocent person going on his own, yet is better he restrategies before every information he suffered to gather up goes in drain.

His life and that of his wife are all at stake and Bianca will carry out her threat if she discover the truth.
Benny try calling the doctor to update and inform him that he will be coming over but the doctor wasn’t picking up.
He tried again, no response. Benny angrily threw the phone aside.

He drove straight to the hospital.
As he was driving in, he checked his mirror again, this time he didn’t see the Honda.
Maybe he was wrong in thinking the person was following him.

Since he was already around the hospital premises he drove in, parked and just then his phone rang.
The doctor was calling back.

“Hello Doc, I’m already at your hospital. You will see me in few seconds…”

He came down from his car, locked it before walking in to see his doctors who already had an idea of what was going on.

He sat with his doctor in his office discussing, the doctor apologies for missing his calls, he was attending to a patient and couldn’t take any call. He said.

decided to call one of the officer to come meet him in the hospital.
Within an hour the officer, who was not on uniform came.
They sat in the doctor’s office talking.

“…i was afraid that Bianca sent somebody to follow me, I’m not certain but I couldn’t wave off the dreadful thought which was why I came here straight. I told Bianca that I was going to the hospital, so this is just a cover. I want to be extremely careful now that we are almost at the edge of this whole investigation. I don’t want anything to happen to my wife because Bianca threaten to shoot her dead if she sense any cold feet from my end. The next step is going over to where she kept my wife as her prisoner. That will be tomorrow and I need the police to be at alert. Please carefully avoid her smelling your presence for the sake of my life and that of my wife. The “she devil” is super smart and she scared me to death today when she asked if I was recording our conversation. I was stunned at that spot but I managed to act my way out. We need to be vigilante and careful when dealing with Bianca. Officer, please handle this with care, the whole evidence is here, I will like to have a copy of everything…”

Benny handed over the whole recording to the officer in charge.
They talked and marked out how they will apprehend her.

Benny was given another new recording gadget to wear whenever he will be going with her to where Dorcas was kept, which will be the next day

He was also given a modern tracker, in that way police will be able to know the exact place they will be going.
He was asked to place the tracker on Bianca’s car.
It will trail them to her destination.

Seven officers will be stationed around the building where her victims are kept once the the dictate the place through the tracker.
they also asked Benny to wear one that looks like a wristbands. If one malfunctioned then they will follow the second one.

They talked until night came. Benny and the officer left the hospital.

Benny thanked the officer but he returned the thanks saying Benny was doing great with helping them with the investigator’s work.
He asked Benny if he will love to Join the investigating department in the police force. Benny laughed at the joke.

Benny head to his car
Just as he was about going into his car the officer called him back.

“My work phone is surprisingly getting alarmed from your car, there is an unlicenced censored tracker button glued to your car…”

Benny was shocked as the officer searched around the car until he was able to pull it out under his car bonnet.
It was exact color with Benny’s car. Which makes it appear invisible.
Is like a camouflage and still very active.

Without the help of the officer Benny wouldn’t have been able to know.
The officer disabled it.

“This girl is indeed smart head like you said. This cost a fortune and record any conversations convers inside the car. Hope you didn’t make any suspecious call while in the car? Oh no, did you call me while in the car or from the doctor’s office because Bianca will be listening to every conversation you make in the car through this means…”

Benny’s jaw dropped to the ground as he began to think hard.
He remembered the only call he received was from the doctor.
He try making calls while in the car but none went through.

Benny fell on his knees and muttered “thank you Jesus”
It has been God all the way that made none of his calls to go through. He had felt frustrated and threw his phone aside not knowing it was all the handwork of God.

He later stood and asked the officer to fix the censored tracking button.

The officer asked why, Benny gave his reasons. Now that he knows that Bianca was monitoring both his car movement and conversation he will be saying the exact thing she will love to hear and acting according to the game script.

The officer agreed to his plan and abled the tracking button before putting it back at the same spot where Bianca fixed it.

He informed him that the battery will need changing soon because the working limit is three days. so is still very active today and tomorrow.

Benny thanked him. He entered his car and drove off.

While going home, he pretend to be on a call with the doctor as he talked on how the injection was taking serious effect on him. He pray not to have an accident because his eyes were closing up.
He talked about how much he detest Dorcas and love his new woman, called Bianca.
He said Bianca makes him so happy and he can do anything for her.
Benny suddenly screamed, and later said that he almost hit an incoming car because he was struggling to keep his eyelid open.

Surprisingly,


his phone began to ring and it was Bianca.
“My love are you alright, where are you… will you like me to come get you? the doctor attended to you well…i believe. and hope the drugs are not affecting you…”?

Benny informed her that the drugs are actually affecting him and thank God she called
She does not need to come rather she should continue talking to him over the phone until he gets home in that way he will remain awake.

Bianca kept talking to him and Benny will laugh at her dry jokes.
They kept talking untill Benny got home, he thanked Bianca.

She blew him a kiss over the phone as they bid each other goodnight.

Benny laughed sarcastically after the call ended

“Two can play this game…so help me God…”
He said quietly and went his room.

The following day, he drove off to meet her.
Bianca will be taking him to see Dorcas.

He made few fake calls in his car before getting to her.

He look straight ahead, nodding quietly to everything she was saying while she kept driving.
It was quiet a distance. all
He so much look forward to was seeing his wife again and knowing she was alright.
That was his wish. Nothing will make him so happy like setting his eyes on his wife.
He has miss her alot and whatever it has to take to get her out of the dungeon of the devil he will.
The police were already tracking them and following their trail.

Bianca almost ruined his plan, after he carefully fixing the tracker in her car she decided on the dying minute that she was not comfortable taking her car again.
She insisted on taking his own instead with the order that she will be the one to drive.

He was disappointed, angry, exhausted and broken at the same time.
He never thought Bianca will change her mind from using her car after she had fixed the tracker and that iss one of the things that will be pointing her location to the police.

He was very certain at first on the car to be used and quickly fixed the tracker without her knowing but she shocked him when she said she will rather use his.
She will love to drive his own car instead of hers.

Benny had tried to convince her to take her own but she insisted of his.

Luckily, he still had one more tracker which was in form of a wristband.

He
wore it on his wrist as they journeyed on.
The officer was right in giving him two tracker.
If one disappoint the other will pave the way.
Getting to Dorcas and rescuing her is the only thing occupying his mind.
Once they arrive wherever Bianca kept her, in no time police will be surrounding the whole place and Bianca will be put in cuffs.
Benny wish it will go down that easy but fear of the unknown settled strongly in his heart.
As Bianca kept talking, Benny was beseeching God to take charge.
He prayed silently without his lips moving.
Bianca called back his attention.
“Did you listen to anything I just said… you are not really paying attention to me right?
Bianca asked with a frown on her face as she kept driving.
“No sweetie, I’m listening…” Benny said trying to convince her.

“Oh yeh, what was the last thing I said… what did I say Benny, since you said you were listening, answer me…”

When Benny couldn’t say, she continued.

“Listen to me and listen well my love. When I talk you listen, when I need you to say something that’s when you talk. When I ask question you answer, when I need you to be quiet you do just that and when I want a subtle romantic activities you give me an exceptional performance. That’s the way I like my men…”

“Doesn’t that makes you a control freak”?
Benny who try to hide his annoyance asked without care of whatever she may say or do.

“Call it whatever, I don’t give a damn. I prefer when things are done on my terms. And when I’m tired of you I dump and move on to my next man. Well, except this time…I don’t think I’m going to get tired of you anytime soon. You’re stuck with me my love. when you see your wife Today, you will tell her those hurtful words that you had in store. Call her evil, wicked witch, ugly, barren, dull, weak, a dirty cheat, and a sneaky snakei. All the demeaning names you can think of. And mean it while at it. I want to see her weep, I want to watch her groan in pain, I want to see her languishing in despair. That will be satisfying for me. Do you understand me..”

Benny swallowed hard before nodding.
Bianca gentle pat him on the shoulder and called him “good boy”
She continued talking

I told you about my Dad?
“Yes, you have. Back in my office. You said he was very religious like me, he taught you about God and you miss him alot…” Benny said wishing she can just shut up. He has heard enough already.

Bianca began to laugh sarcastically. Benny neither said a word or react.
When she was done she said with a smirking face

“I killed my Dad..”
Benny was taken back by her blunt confession

“… you heard me right. He was none of those things you mentioned. He was weakling and stupid. Well, like you already know that I put up several acting just to have you and look what the whole lies and act got me… hahaha. I don’t fail on a mission. I always achieve my aim. My whole troubles wasn’t in vain. As for my Dad he got what he deserves. He try to cut down on my right. My Mom had me while working for him as a domestic staff. She fell in love with my Dad, her boss and they both got something going but my Mom was hoping my Dad will ask her to marry him but he never did. She became pregnant, my Dad took care of her until she gave birth to me. After two years and my Dad wasn’t saying anything about marriage, instead he was dating one pretty Doctor. My Mom got angry, left. She left me with my Dad. Found another guy who values her and moved to another country with him. I was raised by my Dad. He later got married to this doctor and had two kids. I watched how he shifted his focus and attention to this his new family. He sent me off to boarding school. He said I was very arrogant and disrespectful to his wife. I felt so bad but endured. After my high school, I got admission into the university but I was suspended for stabbing a girl who try befriending my crush. I later got enrolled into another university and I pushed a boy off the Cliff for ditching me. He said I was toxic and can’t be with me. I left and got into another but I hated that school and finally I Came to my present university and I fell in love the moment I set eyes on you. As for my Dad, I learnt that he was trying to cut down on my right, he intend giving his legitimate kids almost all his empire while I get little. I won’t let that happen. My Dad survived the accident and was rushed to the hospital. While my Dad was in the hospital recuperating, getting all the medical care he needed, I pretend to go visit. His wife, who happens to be the doctor attending to him wouldn’t let me pass because we had alot of heated argument in the past so I put up this innocent, smiley face. It appears like I was truly sorry. She even get to hug me, I dashed her few fake smile as I gently went to see my Dad. He was asleep. I removed the oxygen knowing he can’t breath well without it. His condition was critical. I watched him struggle for air before finally given up. I put it back before rushing to call his wife. She came in, did all she could, source the help of other health workers…none were able to bring him back. He was gone. I cried my eyes out…off course fake tears. I needed to put up an act so I won’t be suspected. After the burial, I made a will with his forged signature. One of the best lawyers helped out. It was presented to Jessica, my dad’s wife. She refused at first but since she wasn’t in the mood to fight legally because she was more focused on her kids and job. I won and took more than half of my dad’s properties. I always win and I’m still wining. Here we are… finally we have arrived. If I park now, there’s a building over there. That’s where I kept my prisoners…”

Benny felt terrified listening to her talk about her Dad.
She is a cold blooded monster.
She parked, brought out a gun tucked inside her clothes.

They came down, Bianca checked around just to make sure she wasn’t being followed.

“How’s

“She is still ill, please… please Bianca she needs a medical care or something worst may happen. This place is no longer safe for us. We will still be your prisoner, nothin will change, if you can get a doctor to come check her. I…”

As Geni try to speak further she got a resounded slap on her mouth.

“, Your only job is to take care of my prisoner. A single prisoner not ten or twenty. Why do you have to whine and complain every time over that. I send my men to supply food and toiletries, what else do you need. I was only waiting for a perfect time for her death, it would have pave way for me freely but free way came early for me. Her ex husband is here to bid her farewell…”

Benny was looking all around the pathetic condition of the house. He shakes his head sadly knowing Dorcas was kept in such a condition and maybe worst.
Bianca asked him to follow her, he did.
His legs couldn’t carry him, he try to appear courageous but he was shaking inside.

Bianca opened an iron gate and went in.
Benny entered the small semi dark room.
He can’t believe that it was Dorcas that lay on a small student bed laid out on the cold ground.
He groaned bitterly, tears clouded his eyes.
Dorcas who was very weak turned and looked up when Bianca mentioned that her ex husband was around to bid her goodbye.

Dorcas face lit up the moment she saw Benny.
“Benny, oh Benny… finally… I get to see you again. Is that really you… you slimed down. Are you alright? Benny, please take me out of here… I’m dying…”

She began to cough, she coughed so hard, and threw a brownish spasms at a corner.

Bianca screamed “eeew, gross. This is so disgusting. Benny…my love tell her what you came to tell her let’s get out of her. I can’t stand the sight or stench smell of this place…”

Benny stood frozen to earth. Dorcas looks unrecognizable. He couldn’t find the right word to describe her condition.

He bit his lip hard trying to suppress the urge of strangling Bianca at that moment.
If not for the loaded gun with her he could have given her the taste of her own medicine.

“I can’t…” Benny finally managed to say as Bianca urged him.

“What do you mean you can’t. You must or i will kill…wait a second…!

Bianca paused from talking.
She fixed her gaze on Benny’s tracking wristband. As Benny touched it to mark his location to the police it blink with light.
Bianca forceful pulled it out.
Benny legs began to shake as he stood.
His main focus was on Dorcas and what Bianca will do to them.

“…Hold on, this is not an ordinary wristband. Is a tracking device… right? Are you wearing a wire… you have been recording me? Bianca barked angrily

Benny
stuttered a little before saying
“Never, no… this wristband is one of the numerous gifts I got from my students. Is very ordinary. I’m not recording you… please…”
She pulled out a gun and pointed to his head.
“I will blow your head off and strangle your wife to death. I will not waste a single bullet on her because she is as good as dead, if I find out that you have being stabbing me at the back. Now, pull off your clothes. I want to be certain that you’re not wearing any recording wire…”

Benny hesitated, Bianca striked him hard on his face and said.

“….I won’t think twice before shooting you again if you dare blink at my command. We made out, kissed, got involved intimately. You told me your wife is an ugly old witch with a barren womb. I agreed to bring you down here because I thought you’re faithful to me but I guess I was wrong this time… maybe because I failed to listen to my guts. Start pulling off your clothes right this minute before I pull this gun trigger.
If I can kill my own father, Benny I will waste you without a second thought. Do it right this second…”

Benny looked over at his wife, who stared back at him with fear and anger written in her demeanor and sucked in eyes.

He wondered what was delaying the police from getting to where they are.
As he buttoned down his shirt his hand kept shaking.
each move brought him closer to uncertainty.

Episode 24

“Hurry up with it…” She barked.

Benny stopped, looked up at her and said.
“Is either you believe me or you don’t but I’m not pulling off my shirt just for you to satisfy your curiosity. I said the wristband is a gift from my student and I’m not wearing any wire. Is either you believe me or you don’t but I’m not going to go extra just to prove a point. You have tried me through different means and I proved my loyalty and if you still don’t trust me then you have to deal with yourself because I’m not the problem…”

Bianca was quiet while still pointing the gun at him.
She lowered it and said.
“You have a point Benny my love. Indeed I tried you through different means, do you know that your car has a tracker which I used to monitor your movement and communication. Well, so far I haven’t seen anything untrustful. But I know you are a very intelligent professors and maybe playing a game but you haven’t given me any reason not to trust you. Alright then, prove your loyalty further by going over to your ex wife and tell her to her face everything you wanted to tell her before. You know things like she’s a barren wicked ugly old looking witch…stuffs like that. Go on…”

Benny looked towards his wife, she eyed him and looked away.
“I can’t. She is already in terrible pain Bianca. There’s no need to…”

“Shut
up Benny…” Bianca interrupted
“…if you don’t then I will kill her right now in your presence…”
Benny moved closer to his wife, she stood in between her and Bianca. Ready for anything.
“You will have to kill me first Bianca before getting to my wife…”

“So be it. You just betrayed me by calling her your wife. And for every betrayal you will get a bullet and at the end she will still die in my hands…” Bianca said.

Benny sight Geni coming in gradually with a heavy stick while Bianca was backing the door and facing them.

Benny wish he can discourage Geni, to avoid her getting hurt but if he makes any suspecious move Bianca may turn and see her.
He decided to buy more time by saying the things he had always wanted to say to Bianca.

“You know what Bianca, you need serious help. You have turned yourself into a monster. An obsessed, controlling freak. You are the real definition of evil. Behind all this pretty face and smile is a devil’s incarnate, a cold, harden criminal that needs to stay far from human. Living with animals will still be dreadful because you deserve to be locked away. You portray danger to all living things. You’re a lost soul Bianca… you need help, but most importantly you need Jesus. It’s a pity that we are caught in your dangerous web and unknowingly became your victims but my God, The living God I trust and serve will come through for us, you won’t get away with all your atrocious act. You maybe doing so before but this will be different. I don’t hate you rather I feel so much pity for you. You could have used your sweet smile, beautiful outward appearance to touch lives positively, but instead you decide to use it for wickedness. Causing more damage and adding to the kingdom of darkness. I can only pray that God forgives you and give every one that you have caused so much pain ability to do the same… because is hard…so difficult”

Bianca gave a loud yawning to Benny and said.
“, That was the most boring farewell speech I have ever heard. I don’t need anyone’s forgiveness. You all can go to hel..lll..”
Just then she saw somebody was about to hit her with an object through a wall shadow.
Bianca quickly turned and shot at the person.
Geni screamed and fell to the ground.
She quickly turned to Benny, pointed gun at him.

“….we
have had enough petty talk. I gave you a wide room to express your pathetic self, we are done talking Benny. I will shoot your wife first so that I will enjoy the pain as you watch her die. After which you will be the last but first of all hand over all those gadget. Because is quiet obvious that you have never been mine. I know that you probably have a recording device on you and my reasons for keeping quiet is because the network around here is disconnected. Is not working. So even if my prisoners try to make a call from an invisible phone it won’t go through. Okay, We have had enough Chic chat. Time for action and you will watch me with your dying eyes walk out of here freely…”
She moved towards Dorcas, Benny hushed her out of fear and said.
“Please, please Bianca don’t shoot her. I will call her demeaning names, I will hand all devices over to you. We won’t press any charges against you. I will do anything you want me to do and become anything you wish…all I ask is that you spare the Life of my wife… I’m begging you please. I know there’s still some humanity in your heart…”

“I told you that we’re done talking Benny”
Bianca said and fired at Dorcas, Benny quickly jumped in before the bullet could hit her.
It hit him instead on the shoulder, he staggered back and remain standing as blood began to fill up his body.

Bianca made another attempt but something hit her hard on the head
It was Geni that used her remaining strength to struck her with a stick.
She fell to the ground and the gun fell off her hand.
Benny went over to his wife to help her get up
Bianca winced in pain and made move to grab the gun.
Dorcas pointed at the gun and asked Benny to go get it.
Before Benny will turn to do that, Bianca had already grabbed the gun.
She was in serious pain from Geni’s hit.

Bianca managed to get up and as she was about to shoot Benny this time.
A voice stopped her from behind
“,Drop the gun”

It was the police.

Bianca was startled but got back her balance as a gun was pointed behind her head
Benny stood, praying and kept beseeching God to intervene.

Bianca refused to drop the gun, just as she pulled the trigger to shoot Benny one of the police shot her twice and she fell heavily to the ground.
They retrieved the gun from her as she lay lifelessly.

Benny who was angry that the police didn’t show up on time charged at them.

“You all took forever before getting here, despite we had all of this planned out already. Were you waiting for her to kill us all before showing up. She almost succeeded with that…”

“, well, she didn’t succeed at the end. I’m sorry for the delay…it appears we trailed you to the first track and realized it was her car that wasn’t in use. We followed the second signal from the wristband but I guess it malfunctioned. It was somehow tampered with because we loose trailed. We couldn’t ascertain your exact location at some point. We began searching and finally got here. We apologise for that. Please the premedics are outside with an ambulance. For quick first aid treatment…”

Geni who was badly injured was quickly wheeled to the ambulance.
They stopped the blood and assured her that she will be alright.

Dorcas was also wheeled out.
Benny’s bullet wound was checked, he was lucky that it was not deep. It was more like a bruise.

After every checking and applying first-aid, the ambulance and the whole police cars, including Benny’s car drove off.

The whole building was sealed up as the police were determined to bring anyone
Involved with Bianca to book.

Benny sat beside his wife as they were being taken to the hospital.

“I can’t believe you slept with that mentally deranged girl”
Dorcas who haven’t said much, finally said to Benny.

Benny turned to her surprised.

“Of all the whole things to be worried about why this? We should be thanking God for saving us honey. Nothin else matters to me now. Beside I never slept with Bianca. It was only kissing and that was because I had to do anything possible to know where she was keeping you. To be able to rescue you. Your safety was all I was after…It was paramount to me. It was just a kiss nothing else and I hated it with passion but had no choice…”

Dorcas made a face and replied.
“, You kissed the devil herself and called it “just” you baffles me Benny…”.

“,
For Christ sake should we be discussing this right now? Are you not happy to be free at last? Okay… I’m sorry. I’m really sorry…I had no choice honey. I’m happy to have you back alive, your health will be attended to properly ones we get to the hospital..I’m sorry for everything.. please forgive me…”
Dorcas did not say anything.
After sometime she replied
“My concern now is that you will still want kiss me with same mouth that you used in kissing her. Right now, I wish there’s an artificial body part… like mouth sold in the super markets. It would have been needful…”

Benny looked at her shocked and suddenly burst into laughter not minding his pain.
Dorcas joined in the laughter as she hit him right on his wound.
He winced a little and gently grabbed her hands and kissed them as the ambulance speed on”

FINAL EPISODE OF BEHIND THE SMILE

Benny sat beside his wife who lay on the hospital bed.
This was the evening of the fifth day, Benny was wearing a hand cast to hasten up his shoulder healing due to the bullet bruise.
He was asked not to stress the hand and was put on a cast.
He sat beside Dorcas who was sleeping but a little touch from Benny woke her up

“Ohh… I’m sorry honey, I didn’t mean to wake you. I tried to be gentle and quiet as possible while putting back a strand of your hair. I…”

Dorcas was grinning “is fine, I’m tired of sleeping all day Benny. I still have nightmares of that dungeon. Despite is more than four days already. I don’t know why I’m still being locked in there in my dream. I feel so much relieved seeing you here… finally. Being alive and free means everything to me. I will never ..ever take it for granted. I don’t care about what you did to get me out but I’m grateful. Thank God that Bianca didn’t kill us all before the police arrived. You know watching you jump in the way and take the bullet meant for me, is one kindness that I will never forget for the rest of my life. I love you”

Benny bent over and kissed her forehead, she continued
“..When am I supposed to be discharged? I have been sleeping for days now, Wake up, eat and sleep back…is getting really tiring. What did the doctors say…i really miss home. I want to go home. Have you heard any updates from Geni, How is she…?

Benny
told her that Geni was recuperating fine. They have been able to take out the bullet, although the bleeding was much but she will be alright.
Benny informed Dorcas that the police said that Bianca awaken and was screaming for help. They wanted the doctors to attend to her and see if she can be totally revived so that she can face her trial and receive the judgement of the law but just when they were about to do that she gave up.

All the men working for her have been apprehended, including the fake police men.
They will be sentenced once the trial is over.

“…Many things has happened for the past four days that you have been here. doctor said you need adequate rest and shouldn’t be disturbed with any of the updates. that is more reason I haven’t been able to say anything to you whenever you are awake. I allow you to freshen up and return to your bed rest. But the good news is that you will be discharged tomorrow, you will continue your bed rest at home. The doctor also said that once you’re fully awake, he has something to tell us. I don’t know what that is but I hope is not something that will complicate our lives further because I’m already exhausted from this whole trouble. Maybe I should inform the…”

As he was still talking the doctor walked in.
“Oh wow, is good to see that you are looking far better and radiant Mrs George. You’re a strong woman and your husband here haven’t left your side. Even after I asked him to go home and get some rest that you are in good hands and will be well cared for… he refused. Well, I have two news, the first news is good and which is you will can even go home today if you wish because we have checked through everything and you are fine madam…”

Benny was unstable, he was afraid of what the doctor will say next.
“So, if this is the good news what is the bad news then. I’m already impatient and scared to my pants. I hope is not something very serious doctor”?

Benny said while standing on his feet and facing the doctor.
Dorcas was relaxing back calmly on her hospital bed without saying a word.

down Prof Benny, I never said it was a bad news. I only said I have two news. The second news is that the baby is fine. The pregnancy is…
Benny blinked several as he asked the doctor to stop.
“Whaa… what baby, pregnancy are you talking about? What’s going…I don’t understand doctor…?

He looked from the doctor to his wife and back at the doctor, more confused.

“Oh… you’re not aware? I guess she did not tell you. I’m sorry I have to be the one to break the good news to you. But your wife is already 7weeks gone. We have double checked due to past records of miscarriage and the pregnancy is progressing fine. We will do all we can as usual Prof…”

Benny breathed loudly, he scoffed at the doctor’s last word as the doctor walked out.
Benny turned to his wife with a questioning look.

“Did you know? how…I don’t seem to understand what exactly is going on. Are you pregnant?

Dorcas made a sad face before saying
“I wasn’t sure initially Benny. I felt the symptoms but at a point I started having doubts. And I don’t want to get my hopes or yours up. And with my health history I wasn’t sure pregnancy will survive in the state I was put in. I’m shocked that something is still in here. I stopped having signs after few days and was even thanking God because Bianca would have harvested the foetus out of my womb with her bare hands. I fear that lunatic weirdo… she has no human blood flowing in her.. probably is alien fluid that’s in her body. Well, I don’t know how I should react to the news of the baby Benny. I don’t know if I should jubilate or be sad. I really don’t know…”

Benny was quiet too. He turned over to her and took her hands into his.
“This came more like a shock honey, I wasn’t expecting this now and another thing, we were only together during the anniversary night…. just once surprisingly. that’s quiet a shock. But God’s ways are higher than ours and so is his plans. The last pregnancy would have made it to term but the devil fought real hard to destroy our home and lives. our little angel paid a big price for it. Let’s join our faith together this time, nothing and I mean absolutely nothing will happen that will take this seed out of your womb until the set time for him or her to come fort. I’m actually very excited honey…I can’t really explain the exact way I feel. This is God… crowning our efforts with blessing. God is good honey…so good. you may not feel it or understand it now but is going to come to past this time. We will carry our baby in flesh and blood. Trust me please, try and do that this time and together we will pray for this child until we can finally hold her…it could be him but I want a baby girl first…”

Dorcas gave a sweet laughter. Benny has a way of getting to her with his words.
She felt so blessed to have him.
Despite the past disappointment Benny never stop believing. During each miscarriage he still reassures her that the next one will stay.
Is been years of trying and Benny never stopped believing and she rely so much on his strength and his strong belief in God.

Is his faith towards things that kept pushing her forward. She was not just lucky but blessed to have him.

She was moved to tears as she listened to her husband.
Emotions weighs into her heart, She straightened and peck Benny on his cheek.
“,I trust you honey, I will never doubt you ever again. It was my doubts and mistrust that led us into the devil’s awaiting nest. I’m sorry… forgive me please. I promise to be a better wife to you and when our baby finally comes I will do all I can to be a better mother to him or to her…so help me God…”

She placed her hand on her chest and said the last part. It got Benny laughing.
He bent over and kissed her amidst tears

He had never heard his wife say such before with so much faith, and hearing those words means everything to him.

They later went home. Weeks later Geni was alright and resumed school.
Dorcas and Benny took care of her fees and got a place for her to stay.
They also gave her money to support her Mom and siblings.
Geniva was very grateful. It was a big miracle and she felt so free like her normal self now that Bianca was no more.

Jessica, Bianca’s father’s wife was contacted and she had alot of terrible things to say about Bianca. She also knew that Bianca has a hand in her husband’s death but there was no evidence to nail her.
Bianca had try hurting her and her kids, that was the major reason she decided to let her have more than half of her husband’s empire. Life was far more important to her than riches.

She
was rather relieved that nemesis caught up with Bianca.
Dorcas resumed office, Benny encouraged her to go as he assured her that God was watching over their little one.

When Dorcas pregnancy became very obvious, she could no longer go to work.
Anita makes it her duty to come see and update her at home.

Dorcas was able to carry her pregnancy to term and gave birth to a baby boy.

Benny was overjoyed. He forgot ever saying he wanted a girl. What mattered most was the Joy of finally holding a baby, his very own baby in his arms.

Dorcas was speechless as her baby was placed in her arms. She was a mother for real after so many years.
Natural conception and she carried the pregnancy to term without much trouble like the past.
Her Joy was overflowing.

It was a moment she had so much looked forward to within the years and finally it has become an answered prayer.

After two years passed by, Dorcas conceived again.
She later gave birth to a baby girl who was so beautiful.
Her beauty radiates like the sun.
People left her original name and calls her Beauty instead.
She has all her dad’s features.
Benny and Dorcas were very satisfied with their two heavenly gifts.
Dorcas became more strengthened in the Lord.
She was a mother to children not just one child.
Indeed the blessings of the Lord makes rich and there is no sorrow added to it.

Someday they will get to tell their children the story of how God rescued them from the captive of the wicked but until then they will continue to serve and worship He who rescued them the den of Satan, removed shame and reproach from their lives and gave them a new name.
