Just used Globus bank but they debited me with rate at 579 and charges about 24k

I used globus too but they debited me in dollars instead of pounds and the figure ended up being over what it should have been.

Please how did you know you were charged 24k cos my debit carries only the dollar value I was charged and when I converted my needed pounds to dollars, there seemed to be an additional 100 dollars which is certainly higher than 24k naira.

Getting Placement is not easy as you would have to apply for placement all on your own which is the same as finishing Uni and applying for a job. The school does not help with placement. I would advise you to go for non-placement. Placement was once enticing because of the lack of a lengthy Post study work visa. Now that there’s post study work visa that’s valid for 2 years, I don’t think you should waste your time doing placement. My 2 cents.

Yes the school needs POF before you can get your CAS, they are really slow with processing documents so send these documents ASAP.

POF for one year is enough. You don’t need POF for 2 years if you are doing placement.

Yeah, I've been looking at schools with placement,, NTU in particular, the extra bit of "UK work experience" will give you an edge I think. And besides, from what I gather, even if you don't get a placement cos you'll only have to finish your course as a one-year program and switch your visa to fit that, so it's a win-win. But I still want to know, will you need POF for one or two years, cos of the extra year due to placement?

Hmmmm how much was your deposit? maybe the higher the money the higher the charges. Globus bank actually convert the pounds to dollars for payment.

Rightly said... Employers value experience and placement gives you that exposure.

Your POF has got nothing to do with placements as POF is only for the first 9 months of your stay in the UK as well as the tuition for your course. So, if your course is for one year or two years, POF is still for the first 9 months. But your tuition will certainly rise a little, when you are adding placements to your academics.

Please I need your help because right now I am really frustrated, there was a error on my uk visa VIGNETTE, my agent made ma mistake while filling online form, for my departure date he imputed 15/10/2022 as opposed 15/01/2022, so when my visa came it’s validation starts 15/10/2022 and my school resumed 26th of January, I mailed them immediately to help me correct the error that I was supposed to leave Nigeria by January not October, they asked for some information which I forwarded to them and they replied by saying they ll get back to me within 15 workings days, it’s 15working days already and I have gotten any feedback from them, paid for another mail today, they said they ll get back to me within another 5 working days, it’s really causing me sleepless nights. Pls any suggestions will be welcome.

My brother renewed his passport after he has done his biometric and capturing. He applied with his wife and son(dependant) and they have been issued their visa. His passport would expire in June and because it does not cover for the duration of his stay in the UK he had to renew.
Now the issue is the embassy is saying he has cancelled the first biometric he did on the old passport and the probability of him getting the Visa is shaky right now. He also has a deadline to resume in the school by month end.
Is there anyone with experience of such and how we can handle this. He has also sent a mail to the embassy explaining why he renewed (also because of the rule in Nigeria of renewing a passport with 6months validity).

Hello house ... I got offers for MSC Artificial intelligence and data science at Sunderland, derby, ulster, suffolk....all September intake ...but I'm planning to settle for Suffolk because of the fees and scholarship discount which might reduce my school
fees to about £11500 or £12000.
But was required to make my offer I have to do any of the following which I'm opting for a TEST WAIVER...

2)the initial payment and payment plan was not stated in the mail or stated in the attached file in the mail. I need to know the initial deposit as well as the payment plan.

3) I saw they offer accommodation for students 3k for a year.. people that have passed through this university or are currently enrolled there should advice if the school accommodation is a good choice for an international student, is that amount for a 12 months or a session which is 9 months, is it better to opt for accommodation in that area(outside the university) or I stick to the university accommodation


Have you tried submitting your waec English result ?
Also, you could try proving your degree was taught in English via submitting a letter from your uni.

You should read the entire offer mail. Sometimes the initial deposit required is written at the top with your name and course info or at the bottom of the mail after the main body of the mail stating your offer requirements.
