energixx: A top 100 USA school would have been my choice if I was in your shoes. That’s because I have a different dream than being a faculty or a top world researcher. America gives you more opportunities than being a professor. I can tell you boldly that years into your PhD, you will start getting interview invites from these companies even if you didn’t apply for a job. My experience is biased toward CS and EE degree so don’t hold me for this statement. If your dream is to become a renowned professor, please target top schools (ranking matters). If otherwise, America matters. 5 Likes |

Moshkom: Big boss please I have a question I got a mail today for EA approval and almost immediately another mail for date confirmation which I did not apply for. Although the date looks favorable still but in the first mail, it is stated that I should reschedule before 27th of this month I am confused if I should go with the one that is automatic or I should still reschedule again Your response will be highly appreciated |

Moshkom: Good day sir. I got admitted to LIU, Brooklyn. I have completed and activated the MyLIU account. But I am kinda confused. How do I get the l-20 form? Am I to submit my bank or my sponsor's bank statement before it gets issued to me? |

Joezinho: Firstly, congratulations on your admit. Now, email the school’s international programs, and make the inquiries of getting your i20. You can even play around the school’s website and get to see how to go about it there. In short, on a very norm, they should have bombard you with emails after your admission, about what is next and which is next. But, while waiting for their email, do the above. Good luck Champ! 4 Likes 1 Share |

Good evening all, I have paid for everything. When I booked for appointment, I saw September 12th, where as, my program start date is June. How do I get a close date without waiting to apply for EA? If I need to pay to get a close date, I will. What is the way out please? 1 Like 1 Share |

Moshkom: Thanks a lot signor. I really appreciate sire. I saw this on the school's website. Obviously I have to submit these documents before the i-20 is issued... Wats your take on it?

Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by Moshkom(m): 12:15am On Feb 25, 2022 |
Joezinho: Gbam! You’ve seen it. Those are the requirements for it. How much is the cost of attendance? That’s the amount that your sponsor would have to show that’s available in a particular in the last 3months. Does the admit comes any assistantship? If yes, you would minus the funding and the COA then your sponsor provide the bal in the SOA. It’s not biggie, just make sure all you’re submitting and would submit are genuine and authentic. Keep keeping bro. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by Joezinho: 12:55am On Feb 25, 2022 |
Moshkom: Thanks once again sir. I am truly grateful. I have searched for the COA on their website all to no avail. Sent them a a mail about it. Obviously they will send it. It should come via mail right? Unfortunately, it didn't come with any assistantship. |

Joezinho: Oh! Do you’ve any other admit you’re expecting? That’s bad, you applied to a school you don’t know their COA. Lol Now, use Google to check: “COST OF ATTENDANCE of so so so school.” Check the links. You would see it. Check for OUT-OF-STATE COA (since you’re an international student), you might not see for the coming session but use the last session (Fall 2021) to know the amount. And also mail the International program on how much you’re (your sponsor) to show as proof of fund. He/she would easily tell you the ‘direct amount’ to show up with. Luck boss! 5 Likes 1 Share |

Oluh: Nothing is unreal bro. People get fully funded Assistantship with 2.2; No GRE, GMAT or test of English proficiency even in schools among top 100 in the US. Establish a good connection with a Faculty in your prospective school before you apply. Study the literature and write a good SOP focusing on lapses. Search the internet for good format for academic CV and write your CV well. Watch what you post on social media because some Faculties may check you up on platforms before accepting you. I know a 2:2 graduate that got a fully funded program with good monthly stipend. His application fee was even waived by his Department in courtesy of his Faculty. Don't be lazy and expect people to give you all information you need here. The information shared here are enough for those ready for graduate school. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Jboss37: If you are looking for a fully funded program make sure you have a Faculty before you apply. Prepare your application well and make it strong through your SOP and CV. Academic CV can be more than seven pages. Study the literature and identify lapses within your field. 2.2 graduate above 3 points in Nigeria system can get a fully funded program with a strong application. DON'T BE LAZY. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Jboss37: Some people are so lazy that they want people to give them name of schools, departments and even faculties to consult. How can such cope with the rigours of research? There are thousands of schools in US for crying out loud. School that accepted Mr. A may not accept you. Search for yours through the net. Make sure the School and Department have good funding for your program before you apply. If they don't, apply elsewhere. 2 Likes 1 Share |

UmmZayd: Ogar, he didn't ask for schools. I was proving to him that it is possible to get a fully funded program in the US with a 2.2 without GMAT, GRE and English proficiency test so he won't discourage others. The requirements for each department isn't the same within a school. I don't know his field of study and interest. I was advising hopefuls to make their application strong so they would shot just once and hit the target. Peace 1 Like |

I am in the same situation here. I got admitted into Claremont graduate University California for fall 2022 and I have received so many mails from them on this new status. However, I would appreciate if I get anyone that has information about the school and especially for cost of living in California and carrying through. I received a fellowship award also but I need further clarification on this. I would appreciate any help I can get from here. Thank you Moshkom: |

tiaraLOVE: Wow, that’s really great, Your application must have been so strong. Congrats tho and sorry I doubted, I’ve always believed Standardized tests was a prerequisite in most schools before funding is considered. Guess I was wrong then. Kindly drop the name of the school, one or two people may wanna apply. |
