Joyousgem: @Temi231, I’m assuming you are in a rented apartment. Don’t you need to check with your landlord before you change the flooring in the house? Secondly I won’t advise you to measure the carpets yourself, the way they lay carpets here is different from what we do in Nigeria. Carpets are laid as one piece and it flows through the entire house and under the doors and right through the stairs without any cut and join. Based on that, I will recommend getting a professional carpet fitter to measure and lay the carpet for you. There are many people on Facebook who specialise in carpet fitting. Just check your local Facebook page. You’ll also need an underlay for the carpet. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Peerielass: I shouldn't think she meant fitting a carpet, more like just buying one of the roll-up variety to place on a bare floor. 2 Likes |

elisinho:Nothing has changed back there as of yesterday. You still need your pcr, pay for 2 tests/ register on the govt portal. I hope they scrap all that crap ASAP cos right now they are just putting money in the diagnostic labs pockets for nothing... |

TheGuyFromHR:I know this actually. Lagos state for instance gets about 40% or thereabout for every single person tested in a Lagos domained lab, this is fact. Hopefully it is only Lagos that is doing this and not nationwide...then it will be easier to scrap .. |

Hello Elders. I greet the house o!. Pls what's the best way to get items (clothes and apparels precisely) bought from a US sites into the UK without paying neck-breaking duties? A school of thought suggested I get someone in the US to remove the labels/tags and send it as used clothes via DHL or UPS. Another person suggested it can be sent through the post office. Pls elders what's your advice? |

TheGuyFromHR: I was thinking of doing the latter, but with advice here, I would settle for the normal rug. The floor is cold with this wooden carpet. |

Hi guys, thanks for all your helps in the past . Now settled in the UK. As a single guy, I'm thinking of quickly getting a girl from home to marry and bring her here.. it'll serve as an edge for student dependant move after my own studies and she'll be able to work full time while I study. Pls house, what are the pros and cons of this thought and chance of possibility? |
