I wanted quoting my oga felicity but my liver no gree, he’s been on this hustle for years I am barely 2 months in. But from my kindergarten experience I earn more when they put stops than their usual “Abeg no vex I no sabi how them dey put am”. STOPS is almost same as rebooking a new ride at each stop. I made almost 6000 on a single ride because she had 3 stops.

And the distance and time on bolt either doesn’t count or is very negligible. Take for instance those riders that usually put the location at the gate of an estate, but their house dey inside inside. After driving for more than 15mins na still the same 800 naira bolt told them at the beginning they’ll pay. In best case scenario they’ll just add 100 naira.

Trip is calculated base on distance and time so how much is the wait time for each stop on a trip? I read somewhere weather N28/min whereas amount per min for a trip is N11 initially and i believe its now N12/min

If a trip has a stop its tells the driver to confirm when they arrive at each stop without showing any waiting on the dashboard rather it says proceed to next stop so how does that translates to more money? I don't know.

To me its just a mirage! Maybe the system is program to calculate 5min to every stop added to a trip weather or not the.rider spends up to that...

Well, adding a stop is good though but most of these riders(Nigerians) are dubious in nature so they'll always want to take advantage of every situation to exploit innocent people.

To me, if a woman says he's having a stop I simply tell her sorry I don't do stops I'm going somewhere and your trip is a set destination if you don't I end the trip right here or better still don't even start it at all but if a guy says the same I consider because men are not known to be time wasters and are known to be more considerate but women? GHM! Wait for them 2hrs they'll still pay the exact fare with grumbling.

I would never understand these girls thought process.

This minute they want a cool calm and quiet driver, one that will get to pick up, exchange greetings; if there's any and drive to destination without saying anything all through. End ride get, paid and move.

Next minute, they want the talkative, hoodlumic driver.

.....I am always the calm and minding my business type.

So I picked three girls from Wole Olateju Lekki to Ogudu. After the greetings and drove straight to destination without giving them face. Close to destination, one from the back said ' this our driver sef just bone us, not even a word since.

Another one goes..'imagine you carry three fine girls and you are not talking to us, OGA why?.

In my usual manner, i smiled and said what do you want me to say you? You don't expect me to go all chatty with you guys.

Men in the house, please your views and enlightenment are required;
Considering fuel consumption and spare parts cost only, kindly share your knowledge about these cars below;
1) VW Passat (pic 1).
2) Acura TSX (pic 2).
3) Mazda 3 (pic 3).

Or anything you know about each of these cars that might help the buyer's judgement for e-hailing grind.
General overviews. One love.

First of all fuel consumption and spare parts cost aren't the only things to look out for if u intend to use a car on ehailing for long term.

VW Passat
Avoid this car for e-hailing. Even as private car, if u never chop beleful don't touch it. The attendant problems are too much. From electrical to engine to gear to AC wahala.
Only buy if it's tokunbo, u have done due diligence and u have a professional mechanic specialized in VW that will manage it for u.

Acura TSX
Executive Honda.
Ticks all boxes except fuel consumption and simplicity. But If people use Lexus for e-hailing, it can also fly. Fuel consumption is similar to Muscle/Spider.
It's a Honda so it's reliable and durable.
Available parts and mechanics.
Just have it in your mind that it will have more issues than a regular civic/accord cos of the extra solenoids and censors in d car.

Mazda3
Ticks all boxes except ruggedity.
Easy maintainance,
Modest fuel consumption similar to Camry2.4,
Cheap spare parts,
Straight forward setup under the hood,
The car isn't very strong and rugged but with proper maintenance it will serve u.

Not the best 3 options for ehailing.

Rule out option 2 as engine is 3.0L V6, nice car though.

Do more research about the other 2 options but from my own view the Mazda should be more fuel efficient cos of its smaller body. People use all of these cars for ehailing shall.

This Honda Civic, na the small size of it make me no like am. They should have just made it a pure coupe rather than a 4-door.
Though has a beautiful interior and fine accessories, but too small for my liking.

If you live on the mainland, n you are presently on the island n you stumble upon a fuel station ( Not the Forte oil oniru type o) with less queue. Try n fill up.

A lot of fuel stations on the mainland r not selling. Been in queue for fuel around Alausa since 9.30am. I neva even see entrance of fuel station.

I'm already tired, except I get 1.9 surge. once I get to fill the tank. I guess I'm homeward bound.

Don't stop for them, they will appear polite, before you say jack Robinson, they Don trick you enter motor. grin
