Ibadanpikin:Out of 23years since 1999 Obj ruled for 8 years GEJ did 6 years..... Making 14years out of 23 Both were christians and southerners If southerners were in the positions northerners find themselves they would clamor for the same thing too. Afterall southerners have always used the fact that more northern millitary officers have ruled Nigeria than southerners to bargain for power shift... so why shouldnt the northerners use the fact that more southern civilian presidents have ruled than northerners to bargain for power to remain in the north for the sake of equity 8 Likes 1 Share |

Difrent:If the military government is not recognized why are they living Large and still receive Fed government pension and entitlements ? Go and see how Gowon, Absalami, Babangida are living Large.. If they are not recognized why do they always participate in "Past heads of state" meeting till today ? @ the topic, people should be very careful with the type of leaders to choose.. Another Muslim can't succeed Buhari.. I noticed Most people that always chant that religion does not matter are Muslims.. 4 Likes |

Muslim vs Christian? Who dat one help? If you really want to win, have the love of the people. Aside from Osibanjo, no Christian serious politician has that immense love all over the country. If you want the North to vote a Christian bring a better candidate. Not this foolish blackmail, religious loquacious stupidity 5 Likes 1 Share |

HISTORY OF NIGERIA'S LEADERSHIP DISTRIBUTION BASED ON ETHNO-RELIGIOUS AND REGIONAL BACKGROUND Below is the data that calculated the years Nigerians are ruled under religious, ethnic and geographical location considerations. 60 years since independence, Nigeria was ruled by: 11years Obasanjo- Yoruba 9 years Yakubu Gowon-Angas 8 years IBB-Nupe 6 years GEJ-Ijawa 6yrs Nnamdi Azikwe-Igbo 5 years Abacha-Kanuri 7 years Buhari (+2yrs military regime)- Fulani 3 years Shagari-Fulani 2yrs Yaradua-Tuareg 6 months Agunyi-Ironsi-Igbo 2years Murtala, Shonekan & Abdussalam-Fulani, Yoruba & Hausa. If calculated along religious line, it can be seen that Nigeria was ruled under Christians Presidents for atleast 32years while Muslims Presidents ruled for 28 years. When calculated along geographical location, it can be seen that South ruled for almost 24yrs while North rule for almost 36yrs. Yoruba ruled for approximately 12years, Fulani ruled for less than 11yrs, Angas ruled for 9yrs, Igbos ruled for 6yrs, Ijaw had 6yrs, Kanuri had 5yrs, Nupe had 8yrs, Tuareg had 2yrs while Hausa had 1year only. North-Western presided Nigeria for about 17yrs, South-West presided for about 12yrs, North-Central enjoyed approximately 18yrs, South-South presided for 6yrs, South-East had 6yrs while North-East is the only zone that never had President and are still struggling to get to the apex position and still not agitating for it. |

Bennita911: Wrong both Northern Muslim and Eastern Christian are fanatics that is why they always clash, they have the same idea I challenge any one to mention one bad thing in the North be it tribalism, religion extremism, clannishness, bigotry, killings, equal right to other tribe, overstaying welcome, poverty, brainwashed folks, unemployment and illiteracy and I will show you the equivalent in South East 1 Like |

TooMuchStuff:El rufai proved u wrong when he presented a muslim-muslim ticket, what was the margin again? In Kogi, we have 3 major tribes and 2(Igala and ibira) of those tribes are majorly Muslims, don't even talk about kwara,Muslim are majority in kwara. Reason why a Muslim ticket will always win in those state |
