I know This will come of but am tired and frustrated, am not a weakling but my greatest mistake was to marry someone who is huge and bigger in size and strength than me. am a lanky dude edging towards my 40s, any small quarrels we had at home she use her strength to overpower me.. flogging me with my belt I used on my trousers and pressing me to the ground...I have tried several times to make her cry when the altercation leads to fight..but I can't she always overpowers me..all the people in the community nw is aware of it.
I might hit her once, she hit me twice.
Just a little words, she start cursing me out loud.

She even boast out loud to neighbors that she will wound me nothing I will do. I feel suicidal because of this, my families are ashamed of me, mediating in our affairs. The way she disrespect me in front of everyone is alarming.
I Know this will lead to several abuses here online, no worries but I really need help on how to curtain this situation.

Guy, you are in a loveless marriage. No respect, no love, no loyalty. She is there only for what she can get, and answer MRS.
Accept your fate, start couching yourself to accept divorce as an option. Find materials on "Radical Acceptance " and read/watch.
In the meantime, play safe. Don't have any verbal or physical confrontation with her. Just focus on your divorce strategy.
It is not going to get better. Even with a marriage counselor. They never change.
I am going through a loveless, disrespectful disloyal union too. But mine is without physical violence. It will only get worse! Work on your mental health and make move for divorce before she kills you and start flaunting herself as a widow to seek sympathy.

if it was a woman, it's the same advice all these nairaland boys will give. They'd be asking what did you do to him to warrant hitting you? If you don't offend him he wouldn't hit you, maybe you nag too much bla bla bla. They give baseless excuse to justify the monster (the Man)

Go rent 5 ashawo for hotel, buy many water cane for them, make them pretend to be your siblings come browse her for house, make them flog the hell outta her, she go package, na to day remind her of your sisters anytime she won misbehave.

Reminds of a couple in my community. The wife would always beat up the husband whenever they had an alteceration and when neighbours start coming around, she would go down on the floor and start rolling on the ground crying that the man wants to kill her.
Neighbors would insult the man and the man won't be able to tell the truth out of shame.

Them don carry the man go community town hall plenty times. One day sha, the man give the woman better uppercut. Three teeth fly commot. That was the end.

Baba, Just start the process of divorcing or being divorced. If you die because of children, these children will live on and still celebrate mothers day every month of March.

If you don't want to die untimely, divorce that devil you called wife. U can also move out of the house to somewhere else to finalise your divorce. Send upkeep to her to for your children. This thing is so common among the Igbo women.

. My brother you better leave that crazy woman alone. You are also wrong for beating her. Once things become violent, you have lost your power as the man especially if it’s you that started the beating or you participate. Please and please, leave this woman.

I know you may think it’s impossible right now, but you will look back and be glad you did. Try to go to your parents home and leave the house for her and your kids if you are renting. I wish you all the best and before getting into another relationship, try to get some counseling.

If you read my 1st response, I strongly support him leaving. But my suggestion is that he works on himself mentally to be able to detach without having a mental or emotional breakdown. For most people divorce decision is not made within a day or hours. He needs the mental strength to do it. And he needs to build that mental strength 1st.

I would advise you get divorce proceedings rolling as the marriage seems to have broken down.
Have a proper custody arrangement in place for the children.

op,are u in enugu,cos i kn one guy in enugu,that told me his wife normally beat him up,each time he misbehaves like over drinking of acohol or beer.And the guy is a womaniser and a drunk.he cant save money,he drinks and smoke weed + drink blackwood bitters. sometimes sleep off at beer parlour,he will always lost his phone.infant he buys phone every 3 months.and he has told me that it is a spiritual problem frm his fathers land,that his dead grand father is a dibia.that maybe the oracle his grandfather served wants him to continued where his grand father stop.if he get drunk,he has a one minute madness. and behaves abnormal.he is a cultis,a guy of 40yrs,he also behaves like a boy,thats why his wife beats him like a house boy.later he will run to his mother and younger sister,he is the first son and first child frm his family.
