Group of Young Nigerians, under the auspices of #TakeBackNaija# Movement, has promised the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), of over ten million votes at the 2023 presidential election if they present former Anambra State Governor, Mr. Peter Obi, as the party standard bearer.

The National Coordinator of the group, Ali Mohammad, who made this known in Yenagoa after an interactive session with youth groups and other stakeholders ahead of party primaries, pleaded with the PDP leadership to consider Peter Obi as the presidential flag bearer, considering the fact that what is at stake in 2023 is beyond party politics, but a case of rescuing the about-to-collapse country.

Mohammad stressed further that Nigeria was in dire need of competent leaders with proven track records of integrity in public office.

In the statement made available to newsmen in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Mohammed pointed out that they were mobilising young and qualified Nigerians across the country to join the movement.

The group said they had identified the former vice presidential candidate for the PDP at the 2019 elections, adding that Peter Obi remained the best in the party currently.

They appealed to the PDP to adopt him as their consensus candidate, “he has what it would take to turn the tides of the country around going by his past record as the governor of Anambra State, and most importantly his vast knowledge on economic policy, good governance, and purposeful leadership, which is what the country lacked at the moment,” he said.

The group also noted that PDP had a track record of ensuring equity and justice since her formation and should give the a sense of belonging, having not had the opportunity to produce either a president or vice president since the return of democracy in 1999.

Anyone pushing a southern candidate for the PDP only intends the APC to win and continue their stranglehold on Nigeria. Only a popular northern candidate for the PDP can wrestle power from APC and they won't be able to rig it and make it a north-south dispute or Muslim - Christian dispute. Mind you i am a Christian and PDP supporter. But I'm not being sentimental about the realities of 2023.

APC is strongly pushing for a southern candidate for the PDP because that error holds all the permutations for them to declare that they won the 2023 elections without civil disobedience or any significant challenge when they declare their rigged result.

Anyway PDP has always won elections in nassarwa, benue, plateau and abuja, and anything can happen in kogi and kwara cos they can go any way

Apc has already zoned their chairmanship to the north which means the presidential ticket his coming down South.
Now If Apc does not zone the ticket to SW, where are they gonna zone it to? SE or SS ? The two zones that are opposition stronghold.

Common sense if you had one should tell you that Apc will most definitely zone it to SW where they have 5 sitting governors with certainty of getting massive block votes.

2023 would be a different ball game compared to 2019 and 2015, this time around a yoruba man his going to the the no 1 on the ballot not a vp, maximum votes is certain.

As for the north central, 5 out of the 6 states in Nc are Apc states (Niger, Kwara and Kogi) are Apc strongholds, nasarrawa is for Apc , the only nc states where Apc might get 50% or loose narrowly are Plateau, benue and fct

At this crucial point you should start being objective and stop deceiving yourself, if you are part of folks thinking Amaechi would get the ticket, ask yourself these questions.

1. What move is Amaechi making at this really important moment.

2. Where is Amaechi going to get the delegates at the primary.

3. Would Apc zone the ticket to where they opposition, SS is actually the pdp biggest region.

PDP has never Lost national elections in nassarwa, that of last time was that the used their power of incumbency to cancel results from many places that PDP won till it reduced.
In a main general election kogi and kwara still remain swing States where anybody can win.
