I'm planning towards September intake at Salford but my passport is going to expire by December. I went to the Nigeria Immigration office and i was told i won't be able to renew the passport until 6 months (June) before the expiry date. I want to kickstart my application by June which means a renewal will slow things down as i have to wait 6 weeks to get a new one. Can I apply for a Uk visa with a passport validity of 6 months or less? I want to know what minimum validity should be on your passport at the point of Visa application.

Please I need an advise, I was refused student visa in 2015 reason because I used my older brother as my sponsor with his bank statements. The ECO stated that and I quote, I am satisfied that you have employed deception when making an application for entry clearance I therefore refused this application under 320(7a). After that I was awarded zero point for maintenance. The final conclusion was, given The above I have refused your visa application on this occasion because I am not satisfied that you meet all of the requirements of Paragraph 245zv of the immigration rules. I was given Administrative Review but I did use use it that is because we realised the mistake that I should have put the fundS in my account. Since 2016 -2019 things were rough for us hoping 2020 I will apply again with my account and declare my refusal but COVID happened . Now 2022 we are fully ready everything in place for sept intake, I intend to declare my refusal but what is my chances since I will be using my personal account for this application and my family are still my sponsor for mY masters degree program. Please I need everyone‘s opinion. Especially @justwise. Godbless us all. Thank God

There is more to this case, using your brother as a sponsor will not lead to refusal under section 320(7a) and its not deception.

Yes you will be refused for not meeting visa requirement but not a ban.

It depends on what the sch does
Some schs ask for pof some dont. If youre using an agent even with a sch that requires pof, trust me, you will still submit it

You can fast track your passport and get it in less than 2weeks provided your nin doesnt have issues. So go to any nin office to check your full details are on your nin profile and update if any because update takes time. Goodluck!

One man's meat is another's poison.
Some people are worried about wide study gap due to work and other factors but you are worried about little or no work experience.

With what you have (Internship n NYSC), you are good to go cos most schools want fresh grads like you for Masters
Pls apply to as many schools as possible and expect the BEST

If they insist on experience, then it depends on your choice of course - you either meet their requirements or you choose another course/school that meet your career aspirations

There used to be a 'benddown boutique' market in Dugbe ibadan (enter thru FMBN or thru Bank Road)

For Lagos, try Yaba (tell those guys selling Jeans/bags/curtains etc by the rail track what u want, they ll direct u)
