zoedew:do you know whether that person is a Yoruba person wanting to cause division? Look, the Igbos have a weakness that can easily be exploited. Look at IPOB today. They are fighting to survive because all crime in the East are now tagged IPOB.. Why? Why same Igbo weakness... Ignore that guy |

Bounceboune7: Wishful thinking. The 3k voters include the desert sands of the Sahel region. It's only in Nigeria where the desert region is more populated than the rain forest region. You can't get away with this lie far much longer. You can't continue to bottle up people's progress through foisting inept political leadership upon them with your purported desert sands population in the name of one Nigeria. |

Thryphosa: I doubt if you're Yoruba tho.. Are you aware Atiku just like Buhari tried his luck severally to become president of Nigeria with support of likes of Tinubu and other prominent Yorubas but didn't work? At a point in time, Yorubas ditched other strong contenders to vote GEJ in 2011 after Yar'adua's demise but what did we get in return? marginalization by same GEJ with the support of Igbos who at the time were rejoicing that GEJ marginalized us and were even calling our leaders that went to meet him f00ls. The Igbos have burnt their bridges to Aso rock long ago and they know it.. people like Adebanjo. seem to be suffering from memory loss but Young and healthy Yorubas know what transpired in Nigeria between 2011 and 2015 and won't allow a repeat of that. At a point, the Igbos residing in Lagos started taking up appointments meant for Lagos at federal level when Yorubas and Lagos indigenes are there. I have not seen such happen under PMB as he gives the regions what is rightfully theirs. Lastly, the Igbos have always contested presidency under APGA, a party where only Igbos get the ticket to run, so why should Tinubu ditch his ambition for same Igbos who don't allow Yorubas or Hausas anywhere near the party they "own". Use your sense. 1 Like 1 Share |

flokii: You lied. Even Olusegun Obasanjo won in the SE in 1999. But the SW did not vote for him in 1999, AD was the SW regional party then. Abiola won decisive votes in the SE. But common sense: since the SW has presided over Nigeria for about 12 years since 1976, why can't the SW APC now support an Igbo to fly the party's flag, the SW support an Igbo to fly PDP flag, so that power shall return to the South in 2023? 2 Likes |

mastertek: Thank God you raised this point for those still in doubt, who think we are just talking for nothing. I said it here severally that Yorubas lost their jobs under GEJ and the Igbos in power then but most think it's just to clout chase. Even I couldn't understand the reason for such hate or why Igbos that were welcomed with open hands in Yorubaland decided to destroy Yorubas completely in Nigeria's politics. As God would have it, things changed completely and we're back to being the power bloc we used to be. |

Truthisunique2: What is your point exactly, that Igbo should be dashed ticket of Amala and Ewedu party, after so much bigotry and hatred oozing daily from your type. Look your foolish attack against Yoruba people will continue to awakening the consciousness of some of us who have sympathy for your people because of some good detribalised Igbo who are different from these sets of online IPOB |

PrinceOfLagos: You will soon eat your vomit To say Igbo deserve the 2023 presidency is true but also other tribes equally deserve it. When you narrow 2023 presidency to only Igbo extraction, it creates rejection and opposition from other tribes in the South and in extension from other region. If you claim Igbo are major ethnic group in Nigeria, you have to ask yourself whether they have majority in major political parties that could win the presidency in 2023. There are three major classifications that is used depending on who is concerned in grouping political region. 1. 3 region grouping at independence 2. 2 region grouping during colonial rule 3. 6 geopolitical grouping during military era. Sadly none of this groupings favour Igbo as a distinct tribe and I would explain this. The 3 region grouping which can be refer to as Eastern region have other ethic groups who have equal stake in the presidency when 3region grouping is used. When 2 region grouping is used, Igbo have to contend with Yoruba and other ethnic group from the south. In the case of 6 geopolitical grouping, this seems to be the only one that favours Igbo as a distinct tribe to get the presidency. However, neither Nigerian Constitution nor any of the favourite party has 6 geopolitical zoning arrangement in it's constitution, the only party that has any zoning arrangement is PDP which uses the North/South Zoning arrangement. South West didn't threaten Nigeria to field a Yoruba man in 1999, their major canvass was an end to military rule and restoration of June 12 1993 election won by their son, Abiola which was a legitimate demand to an average Nigerian. It is unfortunate to see Igbo have alienate themselves while being in the majority as well as in major party with high stake of winning presidency. The unfolding events penultimate election involving the northerner and southerner when Igbo became aggressive to her major neighbour and other region which later culminated into verbal attack against the Yoruba and the Fulani is a mistake that would take a long time to forget. This was caused by needless book of Chinue Achebe and Kanu's initial verbal attack against the Yoruba in particular and Nigeria in general. Again there are more records of Igbo political leaders open disdain against the SW people while SW politicians have been more careful It is unfortunate to see the young generation of Igbo towing the same part especially on social media thereby waking the consciousness of other region to reciprocate the hate some of them are dishing out. As it stands, it is easier for Yoruba to align with the north to get the presidential ticket than for Igbo to align with SS to get the ticket. Igbo need to start promoting regional interest such as restructuring, devolution of power, financial autonomy, state police and other common interest but their recent stand on VAT and special status for Lagos is a wrong signal to show if there could ever be any collaboration |

lightskinnigga: Word ! words , I must say. I have followed this man's comments and statements for some time. Nigerians ought to listen to this man. And if you are igbo on this forum, I plead with you all, stop propergating hate comments toward the Yoruba people, they are trying to form ties with you again. Don't contribute to hate comments online against Yoruba people. Yes, they have done somethings wrong in the past and you igbos have done some wrong things to them as well. Now that the Yorubas are tilting towards you guys again, embrace them and form alliance with them. You cannot do it on your own. If the North has partnered them in the past and have been politically successful ( but deceitful), Igbos be wise and make healthy alliance while been watchful against betrayals. |

I agreed with him but what as the aspirants from South East do in terms of negotiation and lobbying from the said regions? Other regions can’t just fold their arms and allow both PDP and APC to field SE candidates. Presidency can’t be given on a platter of Gold |
