What Advice Can You Give To A Person, Who Aspires To Make A First Class? by The5DME(m): 12:51pm On Mar 04, 2022
I was recently admitted into the University of Benin, in my first attempt, and I intend to make a first class in my intended course of study. So, I'd like to get some piece of advice from those who made a first class, as well as from those who came close.

What important lesson can you share with me?

Addenda- Do not comment on this thread if you believe in the age old clichés of "first class is a scam","school na scam",and other inane cliché about education in Nigeria.

As a first class student (still studying), widen your scope of knowledge.
Attend classes, you can know the do's and don't's of the lecturer
Always follow who know road.
Don't show yourself, anybody fit help you.
Pray to whatever you belief in.
Don't read to pass, previous knowledge will be very important.
Avoid people who feel "first class dey do POS"..
Know what you fukking want and go all out for it

1. Consistency of grades. At no point should you be overwhelmed by getting 10A's and above. Take such feat as nothing especially when the praise-singers surround you.

2. Never miss class.

3. Always take notes.

4. Let not past questions depart from you; meditate on answering them day and night. Meaning, you attend every lecture with the hope of getting a question answered by the lecturer.

5. Your primary aim for wanting first class is to ACQUIRE KNOWLEDGE, not necessarily, to get job after school. This will prevent you from getting discouraged when the going gets tough.

6. You should be your role model...envy no classmates' success.

7. Pray ooooo....and thank God in a secret place, not on Whatsapp status, immediately after every exam even before you get home. This is because you need divine help. A lot happens between when you drop your pen and when results are collated and pasted.
