I wouldn't play someone just coming for a long injury lay off. I would rather integrate Amoo into this team gradually, not in bitter rivalry matches of this magnitude.

We are coming against a team whose strengths lie in the midfield. We need capable back ups for the midfield BATTLE. it would be WAR in the midfield.

Most of you clamored for Amoo, he made the List. We wish for Simon and Lookman on both Wings, we have it. We hope for a Combo of Dennis and Osimhen in Attack, we have it.

We want a real Steel in midfield that brings something different to Ndidi, we have it. We want Collins out of the Squad for Bassey, we have it. We want a Return of Balogun to the Squad, we have it.

We want Ejuke, Nwakali replaced because we are not satisfied with them, we have it.

We can't have all, and apparently we can't be 100% pleased. Good List by the way..... 95% a good List.

is Similar to Rohr's list which is good enough. I always gave Rohr's list high ratings

I am certain both Amoo and Etebo will be on the Bench. Only Lukman is likely to start instead of Chuks and Balogun instead of Omeruo.

The list against Ghana

Shehu in and Awaziem + Akpoguma out?

We need midfielders and they don’t invite Yusuf or Onyedika but invite Amoo who 1.) Hasn’t played for Kobenhavn as he is getting benched by a 16 year old 2.) Played as a right winger for Hammarby 3.) hasn’t played AM since U17 three years ago?

Invite Etebo who hasn’t played a game for months and is recovering from injury? Onazi, ONAZI on the standby list?!!!

I am satisfied with the forward selection, except Onuachu and especially Awoniyi shouldn’t have to miss out for an aging Ighalo playing in a retirement league. Onuachu has close to 20 goals this season ffs, Awoniyi has double figures in goals in the Bundesliga.

Very ambitious list, but you can easily see the loopholes and Egunje invites. Good list for the two games, is it good enough for the World Cup proper? No. Overall I’d give the list a 7/10.

BTW I’m not bad belle but I don’t know if I’m the only one that wants Ighalo to flop or get injured do we can see guys like Awo back. The guy has held us hostage for too long. I remember how I almost cried after that Argentina miss and it hurts that he gets picked because of “senior man” status above guys like Awo who is blowing it up in the bundesliga and Onuachu who is setting records in the Belgium league.

I was of the opinion that Nwakali will make the list considering the fact that his bosses are in charge of the S.E, they proved me wrong.
Who knows, it might just be a mind game they are playing since they know alot of people expect them to call him which will in turn lead to bashing.

Ebuehi is injured

Awoniyi and Onuachu are big misses but don't think they are ahead of KC, Victor and Ighalo. Maybe one of them could have replaced Sadiq but it's the coaches choice I guess.

List is very good in my opinion (except for Shehu & Onazi)

Sadiq is in better form than all our strikers. 13 goals and 8 assists, that’s more goal contributions than Osimhen and Nacho combined.

Games are won in the midfield.

If you like have Ronaldo upfront, if your midfield is poor you will suffer. Ask Man U.

Our starting midfield trio of Ndidi + Onyeka + Aribo is good enough, but if any of them gets injured we are royally bleeped. Maybe Nacho can deputize Aribo at AM or we can switch to a 4-4-2 which we saw at AFCON, but the reality is we didn’t invite midfielders, even backups.

Oh really? I thought that Iwobi is eligible since this is a FIFA organized tournament?

Yup, I was excited to see Bassey, Lookman, and Amoo on the list but that doesn’t justify the inclusion of semi retired players like Musa, Onazi, etc. And how in the world did select Shehu Abdullahi ahead Awaziem? I &mean, I can understand Ighalo’s invite but why are we rewarding a turncoat like Dennis

O pari

AndSunGorilla:

First of all( go down low) back to the topic. Don't you know that Iwobi isn't eligible for the game. Next time if you don't know, ask and don't wallow in obvious ignorance.
Didn't you see inclusion of Amoo, Bassey and Luku, isn't that commendable?

My bro and friend, remember Tubaba song, broda e, i still dey feel you o, one luv!!!

Thank you, my dear. That’s one thing that bothers me about our indigenous coaches - these kinda head scratching invitations and team selections.

O pari

Joebie:
Thank you. Etebo has no business in this list.
We all can't agree on all the names. But we want the best performing players always.

Ighalo is still performing. You can't make argument for Musa being a captain when you have Nwakaeme clearly better in the same league, although I don't fancy the latter.

Say na turncoat Dennis. If Dennis is a turncoat, Osimhen is too for choosing his club over the SE and using COVID as an excuse.

We are choosing Dennis because he is the best we have. Nothing more, nothing less.

When will we grow some cojones and tell Ahmed Musa he has passed his sell by date? How can you drop a prospect like Ejuke and leave Musa?

Please miss me with that 'Skippo' or 'experience' yarns. We all saw how underwhelming his performance was at the Nations Cup. There's no reason why Awoniyi who's doing well in the Bundesliga and the likes should be dropped. Na here we go kuku dey when we start another round of lamentations.

Nope. Osihmen’s case is totally percent different. Osihmen actually wanted to come and fought until the last bullet before he gave up. Dennis was totally happy to skip the tournament.

As per Dennis being the best we have, I totally disagree. Our best striker today is Victor Osihmen. And I will take Odion Ighalo over Emmanuel Dennis any day and twice on Sunday.

That's in a lower division bro where level of competition is very poor.

If he were doing it in La Liga you would have had a small point.

The guy is taking up space there, stifling the growth of those youngsters that we should be integrating into the team. Musa is no Mikel! He is dispensable. Imagine Ejuke and Awoniyi placed on Standby.

Even that Sadiq that can't stay on his feet, who was a sub made the list and Awoniyi didn't. All these our coaches ehn. Na their hand dem go kuku use scatter everything. I kuku trust that Pinnick, e nor go waste I'm bringing another white man carpenter if they mess up.
