One lesson I learnt early in life is to have zero expectation from anyone even family members, with that I learnt to fight my battle on my own terms. Confront ones I can, dodge ones I know I can't win, at the end I know I will still be alright. Ukraine failed to learn this lesson, now they are bearing the blunt, blaming everyone but themselves. Simply go and make peace with Putin, tell him you are not joining any NATO or EU again afterall you will still be alright without them. Naturally,the entire Baltic region is under the sphere of influence of Russia and it will be difficult for any nation or a group of nations,no matter how powerful they claim to be,to upset that.

Those who are saying Russia can't attack Poland,Estonia etc because they're NATO members are only fooling themselves. Russia will attack all of them together simultaneously if NATO dares to arm any one of or all of them with nuclear weapons ! Russia is a country with enormous military capabilities and as such cannot be pushed around by any nation.

This war has only exposed the naivety and inexperience of Mr Zelensky in the world of political diplomacy. It is hoped that he has learnt his lessons going forward.

I disagree with you saying Russian will attack Poland and NATO won't do anything. Russia won't dare. Ukraine is learning it's lesson, it had time to join NATO but failed to. NaTO won't accept their request to join reason because right now doing that it's just for it's selfish reason which is war support not economic support. Remember Russia attacked cus they were making sudden moves to join.

On the other hand, while you have a point, Ukraine too also has the right to associate with anyone, even with Lucifer Asmodeus, if they want to.
