Uselessness at its finest. Squandered and liquidated the assets of Nigerian Airways, went into agreement with Virgin Atlantic and supposedly founded and invested heavily in Virgin Nigeria, all that is history now. Nigeria Air, another disastrous history in the making. FEAR (Future Events Appearing Real) our leaders.

At least the Kano emir will get an alternative to Air peace, a plane he can order around like a Lagos danfo bus.

Nigerians should expect unrestricted and rampant commissioning of many white elephant projects this year as a way to raise fund for elections and as last minute effort to loot the Treasury before handover next year.

Audio National Carrier.
The Nigerian Govt stake can have a maximum of 5% only with no minimum stake which means it could be 0%
Foreign investors have been guaranteed the biggest stake of approx 50%

So why sell this to us as a national carrier?

Better that FG funds one or a consortium of indigenous airlines to get capacity to operate as a national carrier and govt has 50-50 stake with the airlines; That is the type of arrangement that could be called a national carrier.

Agreed, Nigeria dey fvck up badly, but having a National Air ways is not a yardstick of development.

Nigeria should have strong independent carriers that flies National & International routes and some designated as National representatives at international Airports when is comes to Nigeria reciprocal rights and assignments.

The FG role should be to provide good environment for them to strive and support at International Airports.

The US and many Western Countries do not have a National Airline and they are doing just fine.

Supporters of the miserable Pandemic Development Party will start running their smelly mouths, after their slave masters ran down the original Nigerian Airways.

GOD PUNISH THE POVERTY DEVELOPMENT PARTY
If they did, apc has had 8 years to "run up" the original Nigeria airways.
Afterall airpeace and other airlines started less than 8 years ago.
Come to think of it, who was CEO of BPE when Nigeria airways was sold?

Just imagine it was Nigeria airways, who born the airline not do delay flight for emir. You will see lga chairman, governor, nurtw chairman, bale, oba, igwe, police CP will order for plane to wait for them, they will even call plane that has taken off to return.
I remember Nigeria airways those days, people in government wount pay, all na free ticket, from first class to economy. Those days the 747 they had, them no go let people weh pay first class to climb upstairs, instead captain them go put their chicks there de do goodtime! To leave abroad to come naija nko, them go say no fuel, passages go come pay offering to take buy petrol.

Sometimes it saddens when read some news about Nigeria.

If i could remember, Nigeria Airways was among the best in the 60s. It has a better and higher number of Aircraft than the Emirates Airline.

There were also Okada and the rest which were control and owned by Nigerians

But today they are all gone cos of the incompetence and ineptitude of the past leaders.

Shut up. Okada was a private airline and had nothing to do with ''leaders''.

Plus nothing is ''all gone'' as we still have airlines in Nigeria controlled and owned by Nigerians.

If you don't know their names go and ask.

Mumu people typing rubbish.

Mumu typing rubbish, it is not mandatory that a country has a government-owned national carrier.

The USA, UK and Germany have no national carrier.

Neither do most countries on Earth.
