This is a big blow to HausafulaniKanuri Muslim North

Yakubu Gowon did this evil after the killing of Gen Ironsi as requested by the Caliphate. The beginning of mass destruction of secondary education nationwide.

Today, private schools have taken over everywhere
Yakubu Gowon wasn't head of state in 1976, it was Murtala Mohammed.

Tolerating shits has kept this country backward.
Why not request your own schools, that is if you had one,and run it on your own belief. Are you not a religious organization? or are you a troublesome organisation?...

Yakubu Gowon? Not on your Nelly. It was Obasanjo who seized schools including certain universities from the owners. Do not attempt to rewrite Nigeria's recent history to suit the narratives of your people.

Government intervention in education at all levels has done harm than good....thinking deep about the situation of this country, one can't helo but conclude that this country seems "CURSED"....really cursed with terrible leaders.
The legacies of the founding fathers, if any, has been basterdized by military rule while we remain docile.
Re: Ondo Returns Schools To Missionaries After 46 Years by Pymetrics: 5:36pm On Mar 07, 2022
In as much as government would not use the public fund to fund the school. Let the administrators of each school generate their fund and set their rules. Then, Muslim wards would know they are attending private school who has their specific rules.

The school was (I don't know about now) one of the best schools in Ondo State. The principal back then when I was a student (chief Babalola alias ologba) ensured the school both staff and students are up and doing.

Lol, this is not a win win for any religion but a lose to many average citizens. Once the school is fully returned to the owners, government stopped funding thee schools with taxpayers money and the school take full responsibilities of the day to day activities of the school. To balance up and meet standard, school fee will be legislated and skyrocketed above the means of many students' parent. The affected parents (mostly Christians cos of their population) will be looking for another government school (which is probably missionary built) to enrol her child.

A question to a reasonable Nigerian not religious sentimental people, who lost??

The same happened in Ogun state and saw schools with population of thousands reduced to below 500.

It's better to train just one person with quality education than 1000 with government rubbish low quality funded education.

But that's the thing, no secondary school world wide needs a population of thousands does that even make sense to you ?

Chase quality not quantity. The day you learn the meaning of this phrase you will understand alot sir
