Havertz can play attacking midfielder with a number 9 who isn't as stagnant and dumb as Lukaku. Incase if you decide to tell me where he played under Lampard, just know that I will tell you the condition of that coach now.

Keep quiet. He was woeful as a midfielder, couldn't press like a midfielder, too one footed, always losing the ball trying that silly move of shifting the ball on to his left foot, which does not work as a central midfielder, and losing it every time he was pressured into his weak foot. Also had inability to open up passes to the right channel as his default move everytime he received the ball was cutting back on his left foot into congested space. He had Abraham with him so the excuse you gave holds no water.

He was never a midfielder, he was mollycoddled at Leverkusen and the expectations placed on him were no different from a striker including the instructions placed upon him during games, the way he presses, the pass choices he makes and his ball retention ability in tight spaces. One can do some things perfectly well as a striker but move that same player to midfield and anyone will know that position is alien to him. It was either yourself or User09 who told us if we watched him at Leverkusen, we would know he loses the ball often that that's not his strength. Such a player can never be suitable as an AM for a top club. He was nothing but a striker in everything but name at Leverkusen, which was my observation at the time, observing his movements, his lack of care with the ball and his choices on the pitch. I even had to go dig his Leverkusen stats to see what position he was deployed in when he built his resume.
