But what exactly is the point, really? Why post amount without names? What exactly does it achieve? Isn't this suggesting something fishy? Would it be wrong to assume this is a build-up to scam?

I came online after a little absence, rejoicing when I saw I have 9 pages or so to read.

But it turned out to be 9 pages of emptiness, distraction, and selfishness. I won't add to it.

iCauseTrouble repent and turn away from such selfishness.

Now open your gutter.

Answer my question and leave this talk. An attitude like this suggests two options:

1. They are real and you want to boost your ego or morale, a certain high.
2. To attract Nairalanders to your inbox so you can scam them.

These are just my thoughts. Help me understand.

I don't mean any harm. Frankly speaking, that's the primary drive of my response to you but many of us here twisted it the last time. I don't want anybody getting scammed here or offline. Money has powers.

In fact, it also works the other way round. Some of us try to avoid reporting here because of how some Nairalanders who know us offline respond after seeing our sales report here.

Money is powerful. Posting sales without name is not saying anything. And the fact that someone who really sells names in four figures doesn't understand that is scary. It is really scary. It is hard to understand. Or maybe it is easy to understand.

They said they paused KYC for new sellers.
So only old sellers are eligible for crypto payout for now.

LOL. This has taken another turn. If you have ever sent me a DM, you will know I hardly reply. People who have sent me DMs can attest to this. Notwithstanding, you are entitled to your opinion but it won't stop me from posting my sales as I like. You are free to assume anything you like tongue tongue

We can tell them what to do. On namepros, people kick against such attitude because the industry is driven by Data.

I still stand by my words that HE and EVERYONE ELSE WOULDN'T HAVE STARTED if there was nobody reporting sales. You think it is motivation that made people to join? NO! it is those reported sales and nothing else.
Okay. You have been telling them what to do, but they've not listened to you. So, what are you going to do about it?

On the issue of mentioning the domain that sold when giving a sales report, here's what I think:

1. There is freedom of speech on nairaland(freedom to post whatever you like, as long as it's within the forum rules).
Therefore, the individual in question hasn't done anything wrong based on point 1.

2. Many people make reference to the Namepros sales thread to justify why the individual in question here has to mention the name. You have to note that the Namepros thread specifically requests that such information should be provided. However, this particular nairaland thread has no such rule. It's a general thread that allows a greater latitude to post as you like. On this point, the individual in question has not done anything bad. If you don't like his post, jump and pass.

Stop crucifying him. No such rule exists here that demands for such details. Maybe those against him should create a new thread on nairaland where poster's have to provide complete details of sales.

However on a 'moral' ground, I believe it's good for people to provide as much details as possible when reporting sales. Especially when you have benefited so much from the sales report of the forerunners of this thread. But it's still left for the individual in question to do as he thinks.

See the screenshot below. I just saw this on twitter a couple of minutes ago.

Lol. I want us to talk issues but you want to talk nasty. Why is it easy for you to post these things but can't tell why you are posting money for people to see but can't post the names? Is it a form of money laundering, an attempt to lure preys, the ego or there is a lesson to be learned? Now, go ahead and attack instead of making sense of this.

Thanks bro. Nigerians are the greatest hyprocrite I have ever seen. Tonynames, Busyfather and co will post sales without names, Nigerians will rush and congratulate them. iCauseTrouble will post sales without name and you all will ask for his head.
