Concrete cast of the last section of DPC before we form blocks on the last flat..........

But meanwhile, we have got ready to start the decking on one flat, by the end if today, we will be decking ready on two flats, while chasing the blocks to complete the third flat..........

I noticed that you didn't lay polythene sheets on the compacted soil prior to DPC casting. You do this on some projects, may I please know why it is not the case here?

Welcome, polythene sheets are for damp prevention, but this is Enugu, a city will so much low water table that dampness is a non issue. We are more concerned about hard grounds and lack of water than dampness.

Secondly, the height of this foundation makes it impossible for capillary action to occur here, we have areas where the foundation is about 2 metres high. Off the natural ground level.

We are expecting more blocks and more materials for our use in this house today. More pictures later.
