My only issue is their salaries and benefits does not reflect the economic realities of a country as broke as Nigeria.

They have more career politicians in the US probably than most places. They have people in Congress for more than 40 years winning elections every 2 years and then some.of them will pass it to someone of their choice when they finally retire.

These are those we call "government pikins". People that have leaved their whole lives on government expenses. Civil servants, officers in the forces, career politicians etc.
Most don't see earning a living in practical terms like we do. They don't understand that you have ₦100, add value to it to make it ₦200 tomorrow.
All their own is how to spend government money.
They know nothing else than government.
Remember those days, local gumen like ade bendel hunted retired generals and career politicians for easy choppings, why, they had money in their hands but know nothing out of militry etc service. Deceive them small and they will pay.
