Russia has a long history of being invaded by enemies. Therefore, Russians are naturally paranoid about being encircled by the military adversary, NATO. And they should be. Any nation would equally be paranoid. This issue has been simmering for a long time. It is in the interest of the west to prolong this conflict by using and promoting their lackey, Zelensky , as a hero.
