Students engaging in post-secondary studies in Canada are authorized to change institutions or programs of study within the same institution, provided they are not limited from doing so by conditions imposed on their study permit. However, to assess if a student who has changed institutions or programs of study a number of times should be considered to be actively pursuing their studies, the officer should consider the student’s reasons for the changes. In cases where multiple program or institutional changes do not appear to support the expectation that the student is making reasonable progress toward the completion of a Canadian credential, the officer may determine that the study permit holder has not fulfilled their study permit condition to actively pursue their course or program of study: IRCC WEBPAGE(SOURCE)

In summary, you'll be fine. Explain the reasons for this change and update IRCC

I'm not sure. I know CA doesn't acknowledge Bitcoin/crypto as proof of funds or reliable funds.
However, if you're a forex trader as you claim you can therefore prove you are self-employed by listing documentation to verify your claim. Show your trade journals, and provide a verified track record (myfxbook), highlight deposits/profits from your broker(your broker has to be registered, regulated and recognized), your earnings has to be consistent too. Highlight how long you've been trading from your Trading account. I believe trading is a business, so yes with the right documents you can prove your genuineness as an actual fx trader.

You might need to show commitments to prove your admissibility and financial competence. The problem here is the 4 years you are going for. You need to have huge funds to show you can manage. Having tuition for all the 4 years is best. Avoid lump sums except you can prove the source. Let's say you have $150,000 in your trading account highlight that it was deposited from your own account with the same name, to verify it's your funds. Besides, which rational entrepreneur just leaves funds laying in his bank account. So they should understand. The issues is where is this lump sum coming from as they believe it could be borrowed and with liens

Good luck

I'm not going be using bitcoin or any other crypto currency....I will instead open an account with a Canadian bank and transfer about two years worth of funds there or buy some educational insurance bonds or certificates......my main issue is what will happen if they eventually ask me how I got the money...will an fx trader be seen as capable enough to sponsor himself

The POF should cover at least a year tuition and living expense.

Put the fee for the total duration. Mention the annual tuition in your LOE and explain how you have covered it.

The POF balance should cover the tuition for a year, but the VO should be convinced that you can pay for subsequent years (e.g. employment status, company income, etc.).

Subtract the first semester fee from the total annual tuition fee. Add the balance to the 1 year living expense (your POF should cover that). Explain this in your LOE too.

Once again, you have taken time to respond to my question. Thank you so much.
God’s blessings.

I assume you are studying outside Quebec. If so, the minimum amount of fund for living expenses alone is 20,000CAD. That is, 10,000 for you, 4,000 for your spouse, and 3,000 each for the kids.

Thanks for your response!

Pls can travel history affect issuance of Study permit? Is it a basis/reason for denial?

Please I have a question, I will really appreciate a response.

I want to get my police character certificate for my study visa and I will be traveling to lagos to get it, please what's the procedure and cost. And is it something I can complete in a day so that I will just return back the same day? Thanks.

You can complete the process in a day.

Go with your international passport and a passport photograph.

It is 5k - 6k.

Peace

Hello!

If you'd be applying for fall 23, we can connect and try to work things together. The whole admission and visa thing takes time and God's grace. I'll leave you a message via Nairaland. We can share ideas if you don't mind. I plan to start sending mails as early as May. We'll be fine.

Just sum up your last two years and find the average. In your case, your last two years should be around 85+%

Am interested pls!

@tuneao

The employment history can address your study gap. You should link your work experience with your course (e.g. it's easier to explain a course like MBA, hospitality, etc.) and explain how the study will advance your career.

As for the sponsorship, it shouldn't be a big deal, since it's a family company and your brother is the current manager. You just need to provide the relevant evidence (documents) and explain accordingly in your LOE.

In all, you should be fine. Best of luck!

I already listed the data points you need to provide to prove you are capable as a forex trader. I'm not going to reiterate. If you can't show source. If you like send funds for the four years of study without giving accurate evidence of source of funds. You get nowhere. Goodluck
