Hi guys, I posted a thread earlier on when to finally let go in a relationship. Well, I finally did.

However, I think I'm traumatized by everything. I'm really scared of relationships now. I feel drained. I'm scared of men.

My ex was a narcissist and he made me feel he was some trophy I should be grateful to have. I never dated him for money. He never paid any of my bills neither was he responsible for my feeding (not saying he should), I did everything myself. I liked him, and just wanted to be loved back in return....but life has a way of being mean. Because I feel I didn't deserve the way he treated me.

I gave him a sincere advice and apparently he didn't like it so he ghosted me. I feel so angry--- worse still, he never apologized. He just ghosted me...2 years + relationship and all I deserved was ghosting.

Well, I decided to let go this time around, but Its tougher than I thought. I don't know how to look at guys the same way again. I think they're all out there to hurt me.

I know it's all in my head but it's really tough, and no---i don't wish him well.

You did good.stay strong and if he comes back begging don't take him back. If you think it's tough in relationship level it'll be worse when married. Men like that were brought up feeling insecure. They think women should dumb themselves down. Do you want to be in a marriage where you won't be able to express yourself. He thinks your world revolves around him. My dear block him. He is toying with your feelings ,cut all ties with him. Heal before you get into another relationship.
Learn from what you just went through and be very careful before accepting another.

But I guess women have to always be the victim.....we should blame the guy and say he doesn't deserve you so you can feel better about yourself. We should say you'll find someone better than him, when we know he is probably the best you can do.

This is someone who would beg me not to leave him, even though he knows he is not the emotional type. He said he doesn't feel emotions the way normal people do. But I like him a lot so I didn't want to let go. I thought if I showed him so much love, I could bring him to feel...just like a normal human would

I am not playing any victim here okay. This is someone who has been ghosting his biological father for years now and no, the ghosting didn't start today. it's been going on and on, I just got fed up now. Everyone has a breaking point. He ghosts me anytime I have a contrary view to his. Like I have to do everything he says and I can't have a mind of my own.

I never asked you to blame him for me, I'm just concerned about the effect the whole thing is having on me.

You are so accurate. This is not the first time this is happening. But everytime he comes back, I always take him back so I think he's turned it to a play. I feel like I indulged him too much. No wonder some people never want to fall in love because it makes them vulnerable.

And like you said, I fear he'll do worse to me when we're married. What if we fight like normal couples do, is that how he will leave me and the kids for weeks? I don't want to be depressed in marriage.

Like I said earlier, everything you said is so accurate, like you know the story well and I really thank you for your advice.
