I have two offer, one unconditional from university of Westminster london and conditional from Northumbria Newcastle, but am confused, tuition fee is the same but location differ ,I heard accomodation is very high in London ,I will be going with 2 dependants ,my husband and daughter ,pls I need advice from experienced people pls which one is better in terms of employment for me and my dependants

I'll only recommend London if you've a family or friend to give you a soft landing when you arrive. because, everything in London is super expensive... from bills to accommodation and everything else! Again, your POF is higher in London, compared to any other location in the entire UK.

Newcastle on the other hand is a big and nice city. Where opportunities abound.

Choose wisely.

Who know why leedsbeckett "apply Now" button is not loading?
And why Teesside suspended application for international students?
All under MSc public health.

Instead of asking the school's representatives just apply to the school. Admission for Masters in the UK is not as difficult as most people say. There's no application fees, so apply to like 10 schools( I did the same).
I can confirm these schools accept HND Lower Credit.

Derby
Leed Beckett
Sheffield Hallam
Glascow Caledonian
Edinburgh Napier
Plymouth

I must also add that every application is unique and treated in different ways.

Leedsbecket is having issues with their portal, it'll hopefully be resolved this week... Try from Wednesday (that was what the school official told me when I called last week)

Teeside is dealing with so much volumes (people wan kill them with applications) same with Hull. That's why they no longer accept applications for some selected courses till next year.

A friend got an offer from Northumbria. After the initial deposit and deposit on/before enrolment, he said the offer states that he must pay the tuition balance by December

Is that how dey (Northumbria) operate, pls?

Yes, it's stated on their website and I can say that of all the schools I've researched, it's only Northumbria that has the shortest tuition installment plan (Sept - Dec).

Whereas, there are several other schools that allows you Sep - April to spread your payments.

You lost me at "my agent said". It's okay to use an agent but you need to know a couple of things to avoid instances like this.

If you've paid 50% from your fees, you should have about £6200 left to pay. Maintenance fee; In London: £12,100. Outside London: £9207. Do the maths, convert to dollar and that's the money you need for PoF. Don't let any agent do you magomago.

ok

Hello guys! I need your input. Attached is my temporary residence card of where I live. But the last Letter of my middle name (o) - AYOMIPO is missing. And that’s because of space ‘cos the have an assigned font they use. I was thinking of submitting this along with my Uk student visa as an additional document but I’m worried. Will this affect my chances. I’ve got my work permits and there aren’t any errors with my name on my work permit cos the card is bigger and has more space than the TRC. What do I do? Should I submit it that way, or only submit my work permits or would it affect me?

Hello everyone, a friend of mine is already in the uk, but his wife wants to come over as dependent, the woman is 6 months pregnant and she needs to do the TB test, sputum takes 8 weeks which is out of it, as she doesn’t want to go to the UK after childbirth, cuz of additional cost and other factors, the question is can she do the X-ray tuberculosis test?, tho iOM
Said they will use a protective shield for her , but some people said it’s not advisable , has anyone gone through this? I mean X-ray at third trimester ? , even with shield , Will there be any problem doing the X-ray ? Thanks

I think if she really wants to join her husband before delivery, she will have to do the TB test either way. The earlier the better.

X-ray risks are lower in second and third trimesters and she will be given a protective shield.

She would however sign an undertaking that she understands that choosing to do X-ray, she knows the risks involved and is solely responsible if any issues arise.

She would discuss best with the doctors at IOM cos they would speak with her.

If she decides to do sputum, it's still advisable to start now so the result would be out early and she can start her visa application.

Thanks. Seen on their site as well.
But then, what do you think about negotiating the payment plans the other person mentioned?

University of Salford Applicant
• Program: MSc Data Science
• Tuition deposit paid

Awaiting CAS issuance, which according to the admissions team will commence by the end of the month (March). Anyone with info on what the CAS issuance process is like for this university and how long it takes?
Thanks & Good morning

Oyinbo no dey use their money take look person face o.

It's always best to apply to (many) schools with lengthier tuition plans. Whereas, some schools will allow you to choose monthly installment plans... but when you default in any month, they'll demand 100% immediately.

Tuition plan is a major criterion I personally consider in accepting an offer from a school. Especially such that runs from Sept-Apr and I have had many to choose from. This is what I advice you too.

If you flip the pages of this current thread backwards, someone talked about this in few pages behind and stressed that schools withdraw their visa sponsorship when you can't pay your tuition installment and I know a few others that are so quick to report you to home office, when you fail to pay at instalment time lines.

But whether Northumbria can accept your negotiations, I can't tell. But you can give it some shots though.

Nice to kno that you've paid the £5,500. But Salford is going to take you through a POF and pre-CAS interview. It is after you must have satisfied them with these two, that you'll be getting your CAS.

Good luck, it's a nice school.
