ThierryJay: Awards can never determine the greatest... Pele, Maradona dint get awards but are considered the greatest ... iniesta is above modric , despite modric winning the balon dor... or will u say Nedved was also better than iniesta ?? Or will u say Micheal Owen and Shevchenko were better than Thierry Henry ?? How can u say awards plagued by sentiments determines the greatest.... pitch achievements , determines the greatest and not awards , versatility determines the greatest and not awards , influence to winning different trophies determines the greatest and not awards ... Ronaldo has been the most influential player in his team for both club and Country for the past 16 years , despite switching clubs 4 times... No human being, I repeat, no human being has achieved that in the history of football... messi who is next only did 13 yrs .... its certain messi has gassed out at 34 .... messi can't influence games anymore... I can't even remember the last time Messi played well in a big game .... whats happening in barca presently simply shows messi was actually the problem in barca... he had declined , but they still played for and around him... no that he has left, barca is doing extremely well and will most certainly finish 2nd this season while messi keeps on declining |

Kingcalls: Awards largely determine the greatest. They are not given in isolation but based on pitch achievements. There were no global football awards during time of Maradona and Pele, only regional based awards which both players were not a part of. Global awards started in 1991 (FWPOTY). Owen, Nedved and Shevy's wins of Ballon dor in 2001, 2003 & 2004 were for European FOTY. That time, FPOTY was still the only global award for the world best and neither of the three ever ranked above Henry in the top three FWPOTY nominations from 2001 to 2006. Meaning that the only global award then ranks Henry higher than these other 3 players. Ballon dor became a global best award in 2009. Hear this loud and clear: Ronaldo De Lima lasted at the top from 1995 to 2004 and had even retired by age 34. Marco Van Basten spent less than 10 years at the top and had retired by 28. Yet, both are considered widely greater than Zlatan Ibrahimovic who is still playing top football for a top club at 40 years old. Ibrahimovic has more goals than both but doesnt hold a candle to both. How is Messi only influential for 13 years? So he inspiring Argentina to win Copa 2021 as highest scorer and best tournament player is not influential abi? Let alone winning spanish pichichi for 2019 and 2020. You just throw around words that you dont even understand the meaning of. Both Messi and Ronaldo have been influential for the past 16 years. Tell me when was the last truly big game Ronaldo performed well? That would be since his Juve days. Where was he against Liverpool, Mancity and Chelsea? Or were you not aware of Messi's exploits against Man city? Scored them in the first leg and created the opportunity for Mbappe's goal in the second leg. Tottenham, Arsenal, Atalanta and Villarreal are decent teams in the same class with Leipzig, Lille, Sevilla, Valencia all of whom Messi also performed well against within the past one year. To top that, Messi's performance against PSG and Mancity trumps any other performance by CR against the biggest teams in the last one year. So what are you saying? I have dismantled all your faulty assertions masked as truth. Being GOAT is an innate and a permanent thing. Not something conferred by an average Tottenham side or passing Josef Bican who wasnt even a top 10 best ever. Being the GOAT is to be Lionel Messi. 1 Like 1 Share |

ThierryJay: U cant compare Ibrahimovic situation with Ronaldo... Ibrahimovic only have won league titles, he has never won a tournament in his career , Van Basten and Ronaldo did... Ronaldo dint last from 95-04 cos he was out of football from 99-02... Ronaldo only won 2 league titles in Europe... Ronaldo was just lucky to have played for Brazil... Ronaldo performed brilliantly against inter Milan in the semi final of the copa Italia last season, scoring a brace from a goal down to win 2.1... Ronaldo vs atletico .... Ronaldo vs Ireland in September, Ronaldo vs Barcelona to take Juventus to the top of their group... Ronaldo vs lyon in 2020 scoring a brace to win 2.1 ... Ronaldo vs Arsenal ... scoring the equaliser and winner , Ronaldo vs spurs in both games ... Ronaldo vs Switzerland , scored a hattrick to send Portugal to the final ofvthe nations league... Ronaldo scoring the only goal against Milan in the cup final .... he scored winners against atalanta, napoli , roma last season to keep them going for top 4...all these are from 2019 to 2022 in 3 years ... now tell me what messi has don in big games in the past 2 yrs ?? And u should know the difference between playing a big team and playing a big game ... messi has not influenced any big game to victory in many years now ... |

ThierryJay: Lol...what performance against psg ?? The one he was disgraced out 5.2 after also missing a penalty... what did he play against city in both legs apart from stroling around ...that he scored one goal just like mbappe and Gana did now automatically means he influenced those games ?? How did he influence those games and still ended up loosing and finishing second.... the only influencer in psg is mbappe ... every single goal messi has scored this season came from mbappe.... his 5 goals came from mbappe , his 2 penalties were both won by mbappe ....and the 3rd penalty he for the season he missed against Madrid also came from mbappe .... messi is the most overrated player in history of football...and I am glad he has been exposed as we all knew from time... he was also wrecking barca ...now look at how fantastic barca has been .... destroying teams and are poised to win a cup in Europe |

Kingcalls: Your uncoordinated points are all over the place. How does what you put up there negate the fact that Messi has been head and shoulders above any other player ever on the pitch of play on the most occasions since global football awards began? Ronaldo may be having a better season than Messi this year, but is he heads and shoulders above or even competing with other best players who are not Messi this year. Definitely no! Another point is the best biggest teams in Europe for the past few years are Bayern, Man City, Liverpool, PSG, Madrid and Chelsea. How many of these teams has Ronaldo scored against in the past one year? Nada. And how many has Messi scored against in the past one year? 2 of them! I repeat; a hattrick against Tottenham cannot make anybody a GOAT. That is the simple truth. Again, see how ridiculous you sound trying to belittle a goal that was adjudged the best UCL goal of the group stage just because Messi is the scorer. Very childish analysis and it's a waste of time for anybody who knows his onions to try to start pointing out the abject loopholes in all what you said. Ronaldo can never match Messi's GOAT status, regardless of what Messi does or does not at PSG. If Ronaldo wants to be GOAT, he needs to better every other player (not just Messi) again for a couple of years cos it seems you have forgotten what a Ballon Dor or FWPOTY means. Fortunately the people that matter in football do not. 1 Like 1 Share |

ThierryJay: U are just living in ur deluded world.... look at how u carefully selected teams that Ronaldo has not played against or teams that he just faced this season for the first time in ages ... he has only faced Chelsea once as a sub , Liverpool and City once after many years and its just his first season for a weak man utd .... thats y they say messi fans keep on feeling smart but end up showing stupidity and bias ... The last time Ronaldo faced psg and Munich , they collect ... he has never faced madrid in his career , not like he hasn't scored city, Chelsea or Liverpool in the past .... he is just facing them for first time in ages and its just one once ... messi has not scored or assisted against Madrid in his last 10 attempts, he had not scored bayern in his last how many attempts... his goals against psg and Liverpool were fruitless.... cos he still got smashed ... We all know his goal against city wasn't as good as Thills goal against Madrid or sanes goal against benfica ... it wasn't even as good as Ronaldos goal against atalanta... again the sentiments played out... Messi is the most overrated player in history of football.... if Ronaldo was playing for psg , he will b on 30 goals by now... he is 2nd top scorer in the EPL despite playing for a weak side at the age of 37... what has messi truly achieved if not for iniesta, xavi and di Maria... he doesn't perform in big games.... 2 league goals in 18 games in a farmers league ... he has been exposed , no difference between him and hazard in Madrid por Shevchenko in Chelsea.... he carried his badluck to psg , by bottling up leads as usual... a team that got to the final and semi final in the past 2 seasons... he carried his spirit of R16 elimination and bottling up leads to psg ... thats y fans booed the hell out of him in the last game ..... neymar that has only played 8 league games this season is already on 5 goals ... ur fraud is on 2 goals in 18 games.... Ibrahimovic, cavanni , icardi , mbappe, di Maria, draxler , neymar all scored loads of goals in their first season in the farmer's league with psg .... no cover up wey una never use... he is a midfielder , he is trying to adjust , he assisted , he had shots on target , its pochetinno , its the defense , the midfield dont like passing to him , its Neymar , his teammates are greedy and want to score , the food is not good , he is adjusting to weather , his heart is still with barca ....nothing wey una no go talk ... he keeps on embarrassing his deluded fans while Ronaldo keeps shining I asked u to mention a big game in which he influenced his team to victory, but u have failed to do so cos u know deep down that he is overatted 1 Like |
