TLS would probably take your money. They are sooo incompetent. They took 37k from my wife when applying and we literally had to pay again to do self-service.

Facts are UKVI are currently focussing more on this Ukrainian thing due to the level of criticism levelled at them for not helping.

If I was you I would send UKVI an email confirming if you can do priority for the visa that you stated. Please don’t take the TLS site as gospel, they don’t even update their tracking system for God sake.

I and my family ( myself my wife and our 10 month old daughter ) applied for a student visa which myself and my daughter are dependent. We all started the application together but when we’re to pay for health surcharge and visa fee, my passport wasn’t ready so my wife alone proceeded and we delayed my daughter’s. My self and my daughter later had out appointments at the TLS a month after and a day after our appointment, my wife’s visa came out and she left Nigeria on the 13th of February due of the school deadline date . The problem now is that my daughter whom we did biometric together on the 8th of February already received a mail and I have picked up her passport since 24th of February. Up till now my passport isn’t out nor any message received. I’m so worried pls. I sent them a paid mail on the 3rd of March and I was told to wait for 10 working days that a decision has been made but they wouldn’t disclose it . I sent them another mail 5days after to know the update and I was told to send all my details. Later I got another mail telling me to wait till another 15 working days that the issue has been escalated and I shouldn’t send any more mails till the 15 working days elapse.

Is there anyone here who is experiencing same and what steps have you taking pls ?

… I even said go ahead with the complaints part and await what they say.. now you have grabbed another refusal … UK is not the only country for vacation, she and the kids can try other countries. The case officer in the second case has said what he wants.. buikd travel history… The good part is that your initial complain ts has somewhat been upheld according to this email and they will get back to you. Doesnt mean it will be a positive result. They will reassess. good luck

Well wait for final outcome of previous complaint, and if it comes negative, put in another complaint for recent refusal and invoke previous reasons in next complaint as well as recent to show the wrongs. let your wife state that she's being denied wrongly and feels her application have been discriminated and not accessed on the full genuinity it deserves and the ECOs are being biased on her and the kids application. Just a biased and unjust reasons, and you did no wrong to re-apply if they had a reason for a valid visa and met all visa requirements for a tourist visa.

I was at the TLS on the 24th of February the day I picked up my daughter’s passport and present my slip but was told mine isn’t ready, went back two weeks after and I got same reply. My status of the tracking is saying decision has been make but it’s showing it hasn’t gone back to VAC. . I sent them a paid mail on the 3rd of March and I was told to wait for 10 working days that a decision has been made but they wouldn’t disclose it . I sent them another mail 5days after to know the update and I was told to send all my details. SUMMARY OF MY VISA APPLICATION
As earlier stated, the intention for this visa application is to sit the PLAB 2 exam in Manchester, which I have paid for and attached necessary evidence supplied by the General Medical Council UK.
It is imperative to note that I need to return to Nigeria to continue my clinical job as it is my only income source. My lucrative career prospects as a medical doctor either in Nigeria or the UK and my status as an upstanding citizen of Nigeria with no criminal or civil offence to my name motivate me to abstain from violating any set terms of my visa.
I can cover the entire cost of my trip should, and as such, I have no intention to seek aid from the UK’s public funds.

I have a total of NGN1,100,000 (£ 2,033) saved in my salary account at Zenith Bank, Nigeria with complete access to this money and have attached the necessary documentary evidence of this in the form of my bank statement.
Furthermore, I am still expecting salaries for the months of April, May and June before my trip. I strongly believe that having adequate funds in my personal account will not be an issue for me.

NGN 81,600 credit from —--------------. on 31/12/2021 was a bonus payment of 50% salary paid to all staff of the organisation at the end of the year.
NGN 66,000 credit from FGNFEDERALGOVERNMENTOFNIG on 07/02/2022 was payment of my NYSC allowances for the month of May and June 2021 which had not been paid.
NGN 34,800 credit from FGNFEDERALGOVERNMENTOFNIG on 15/02/2022 was an advance payment of the February salary for the National Youth Service Scheme with an additional allowance of 1,800 NGN. On further inquiry, the Scheme pays the allowance this way, when the programme is rounding up.

SUMMARY OF MY VISA APPLICATION
As earlier stated, the intention for this visa application is to sit the PLAB 2 exam in Manchester, which I have paid for and attached necessary evidence supplied by the General Medical Council UK.
It is imperative to note that I need to return to Nigeria to continue my clinical job as it is my only income source. My lucrative career prospects as a medical doctor either in Nigeria or the UK and my status as an upstanding citizen of Nigeria with no criminal or civil offence to my name motivate me to abstain from violating any set terms of my visa.
I can cover the entire cost of my trip should, and as such, I have no intention to seek aid from the UK’s public funds.
I would be grateful if my visa application is granted, and I am happy to answer any additional questions that may arise from this application.

First, you should try contact your fellow doctors who have undertaken and have had experience in this process to help you scrutinize and fine tune your application. I believe there are WhatsApp/telegram groups where you can get access to them.

Secondly, pay very good attention to your money. Try to reduce your expenditure as much as possible. Your expenditure of 550k might be interpreted as too much for an 8 day trip considering your monthly income.
See if you can get cheaper accommodation using booking dot com (try to bring it down to below a 100k. The lower the better).
Then your feeding/miscellaneous expenses can be anything between 30-50k (the lower the better).
In all, just try to trim your total expenditure down to within or a little bit above 400k.
If you can get a UK sponsor, who could help you knock off the need for paying for accommodation and feeding, that could also help.

No need for such proof, PLAB 2 is only taken in the UK. Manchester city to be precise. All he/she needs is to show that he/she has booked for the exams. And he/she can neither book for plab 2 without a valid and passed plab 1 results.

You should be fine. BTW, when you pass your plab2 and get your gmc license apply to hospitals outside big cities. You would have less competition in such places and more exposure that would make you grounded. Once you're established, you can move to bigger cities. But you would also have to put your targeted area of specialty into consideration in so doing.. All the best colleague and enjoy your careers

How many months account statements should both of them produce as evidence of funds when applying?
