If you have to chose between Starting Osimhen or Onuachu against Ghana, who will it be? undecided

Although, I don’t want to dismiss onuachu goals at his club but even the most harsh critic will admit that Osimehn looks slightly above everyone on the super eagles shirt. Right now, the players that perform at a higher level than, their peers are

Osimehn ……..

Ndidi……..

Zaidu………

These 3 are above average or close to world class in my opinion. Although, dennis has been super eagles overall best player this season, I haven’t seen his performance for NIG

Dessers from his club record looks a decent player, but their are so many players ahead of him in the pecking order performing well in top 5 leagues. Between Osimhen, Ighalo, Iheanacho, Onuachu, Awoniyi and Sadiq who will you drop him for? Okereke and Moffi are also in the wings if they pick up their form so it will be a tall order for Dessers to make the squad but hey nothing is impossible. Mendy a few years ago was almost quitting football but look at him now today's world best goalkeeper.

andrewbaba44:

Agreed with what you said about lukaku

But I won’t judge dessers by his first game sha

Looking at Dessers' goal per game ratio, his stats are not so impressive. But if you consider the number of minutes played, that's when you'll begin to have a change of mind.

Dessers has scored 6 goals in 20 games in the Eredivisie this season but he has played only 530 minutes and has come on as a substitute 18 times.

I'm no mathematician but 530/90 gives you approximately 6 games. This shows that technically speaking, he has about 6 goals in 6 games. That's pretty impressive. We've not even considered his ECL stats. No one can tell me that this guy doesn't deserve a spot in our squad even as a substitute.

So ndidi has been poor this season and not outstanding but Gerard Aston Villa was readying a 50 million bid that ndidi and Leicester weren’t interested grin

Ademola lookman is leipzig Player on loan and not a Fulham player ,even anguissa ran away with another loan ,how many Fulham players where purchased grin

Lookman didn’t join a big club but Leicester city ,even leipzig is currently bigger and rated better than them .

How did Wijnaldum end up at Liverpool from a relegation Newcastle ,please explain that grin

Wijnaldum was simply outstanding in a very uninspiring Newcastle United. The rest is history.

Not too long ago many on on this forum were getting all orgasmic about how world class Ndidi was. Using statistics he had the highest number of tackles well at least too three, high number of blocks and interceptions. He was clearly outstanding in club and league.

However, fast forward and he is not in any of the charts of or so low down its inconsequential. Although statistics are indicative and not conclusive, we can see evidence of decline.

Aston Villa have Douglas Luiz as their current DM he has 9 caps for Brazil. Villa put in a bid of £25milion for Bissouma but it was declined. Villa considered Ndidi but did not put in any bid.

I don't know if Anguissa ran away or the feeling was that his performances lacked commensurate end product. And it was felt a loan spell will be more advantageous to both sides.

There is a reason why he is on the Bench. Goals per minute ratios and games are indicative and not conclusive.

There is no mathematical formula that says if you get more game time you must score more goals. He once played 90 minutes and didn't score.

It seems his team see him as an impact substitute, who comes on when the game is in its last quarter. At a stage when players are getting tired and fatigued, this is the most probable and easier time to score. It is a well established fact that in the EPL more goals are scored in the second half than in the first.

Douglas Luiz is not better than ndidi ,ndidi is valued at 60 million euros by transfermkt while Douglas luiz is valued at 35 million euros

Ndidi has always done better than Douglas luiz in the epl and your British media rates him ahead of Douglas ,google and co is there for you to make your research

Villa main priority is to pay Barca for coutinho and ndidi isn’t interested in moving there in any way ,Wijnaldum was outstanding for Newcastle as an AM and so do ndidi over the years as a DM

Anguissa is bigger than Fulham ,he is not a championship player ,he has done well for better teams like Napoli and Villarreal

My goodness see analysis.

I doubt if Zaidu will get into any EPL club.

Ndidi has not been outstanding this season he is a very long way from world class.

Victor O, plays with fiery rage and Aggression I have not seen in any player. He is truly relentless in his pursuit of the goal. He is not the best technically speaking and his goal tally is not outstanding.

However, in a different team that plays him as a True no 9 , he will score goals a lot more I think. But he is till very far off world class.

.

You're wrong. Stats are very conclusive. If you're not gonna judge a player by his stats, what then are you gonna judge him by?

What you're meant to say is they do not assure or guarantee. They only predict based on past occurrences. That is football. Nothing is guaranteed in football. So saying Dessers didn't score in his first full start makes no sense especially when you see that he scored in his second full start.

I agree with you on your last paragraph. I think his coach sees him as a super sub for when goals are needed.

Dennis is an average player, the way he's hyped here as the best thing to happen to the SE as if he has been brilliant for at least 3 seasons. There is nothing Dennis is doing in the EPL that the likes of Ighalo, iheanacho, Osaze and yakubu have not done.
They've done it in the past, and he's doing it now. We aren't saying he's Messi or Henry. But since he's doing it now, then he's not average. You even classed him alongside them already. That sums it up enough.

Nobody has hyped him on this thread beyond his heroics. The ones we hype currently, let them do what he's doing in the EPL then we can relegate him. Till then, guy's deserving.

He is in the much lower rated Eredivisie, take out Ajax and the rest of the teams are not high level competition.

6 goals from 20 games is not prolific by any stretch of the imagination. He is not outstanding IMO both in league and club.

Is he better than Elijah Adebayo, Luton Town, 13 goals so far in Championship. Or even Afolayan, Udoh and Ladapo all in League one with over 10 goals all three of them.

Lol. So you rate championship over eredivisie?? Are you the EFL Public relations officer? Damn. Dessers has been better than all those guys you listed above for the past 3 seasons. Dessers is consistent.

Spot on submission although Osimhen has by far been our best and most influential player over the past 2-3 years. Based on what I saw at the AFCON Moses Simon could also join the fray. Iheanacho is also a game changer but his consistency leaves a lot to be desired.
