Terrorists are building up under Sanwo-Olu's very nose and it has to be dealt with. I don't know if he's waiting to get the second term but these evil people don't vote Apc. I don't know who is advising him but he needs to put people in prison and charge them with terrorism with no bail before their hearing which takes years to sort out. Build more prisons, you have terrorists on your hand Sanwo-olu.

These people think say we dey play abi?. So the lives lost on the day of the protest is not important abi, where was the company when people lost their lives in their front? Did the company pay any dime to the bereaved families? Why did the company shut down the lights? Oh they forgot lagosians would forget so soon ba?

This post is not to incite violence. The company feels their loss of revenue is more important than your life, you lagosian reading this. They want to make you know you cant do anything.

They come with pity words, oh the affected staff have been without jobs for 18months to make you feel bad, to make you pity. Why didn't they think of that when they shut down the lights? Did they even care about the affected staff when they danced to the tune of their dictator?

Lol. Please. Come up with another cogent reason.

1st April is fools day.. Make it a memorable one wink Its either you lagosian who is reading this is the fool or the government is..

The suggestion that lights were turned off has been disproved over and over. As an argument built on a false premise, your atgument fails.

The toll mist be collected because there is a debt owed. Lives lost should not be leveraged against a liability owed. How do you leverage peoples' deaths to avoid paying your debts?

We won't forget.. if they dare open it.. we will burn it down.. They must first ensure that the heroic youths that laid down dia lives at that Toll must get justice and that Toll gate turned to a National centenary site in honour of their memories

I thought Lagos state had ended the concession few years back by paying LCC off?

Calm down and discuss like a grown up. Lagos state bought LCC in 2014. But small research i just did shows that the state did not pay off the company's debts instead has passed it on to the common man

Tinubu has been making his money legally or illegally since when? Nigerians push stupid agendas and subjects while the whole state is on fire. You are concerned about two bullion vans entering someone's house but not pushing to probe his wealth acquisition process, how much is two bullion vans compared to his net worth? Do you know how many Nigerians can successfully pull that stunt with no hassle? Puppets everywhere. We are not ready cos this whole bullion van gist is stale.

u
TOPCRUISE:
Lagosians are yet to understand how bullion vans were entering Tinubu bourdillon during elections. Till today they did not talk about it. Now they are pleading with motorists to show some understanding on re-opening of Lekki Ikoyi Toll Gate.
They should just say they want to stuff bullion vans with a percentage of the toll to finance the election.

You can say that again..

I disagree with you.. I'm an uber driver and I've entered almost every street in Victoria island, lekki phase one, and ajah... If you think the level of infrastructure in these area was carried out by mere allocation from federal government to Lagos state, then you are wrong..

Accountability is about being honest and the fact that they've come out to say they collected loans to develop these places, then they need to pay back.. I support them..

Re: Lagos Seeks Understanding On Lekki-ikoyi Tollgate by wowcatty: 6:31am On Mar 17, 2022
It's only in Yorubaland Igbos come to tell our governor what they can or can't do. Something they can't try in the north.

Sanwo-Olu needs to get the tollbooths back up immediately with CCTV and armed guards there to wait for those who want to come and burn it the second time. Also he needs to make announcements on radio and tv that it's 10 years imprisonment if you are caught destroying Lagos state property.

People who should be grateful that they have a place like Lagos to run to when their own land has nothing to offer them now want to destroy what they don't and can never have in their own region in the land that is given them shelter.

This is the weakness that makes some roaches put unnecessary demand on you Sanwo-Olu. What's with the explaining? People who can't afford to pay the toll need to find somewhere else to live. You want development, you got it and the money invested didn't fall from the sky, it has to be recouped. There's no free lunch anywhere. Lagos won't be the first to toll a road and won't be the last. Sanwo-Olu is showing too much weakness that will catch up with him later. He needs to put his foot down and call these enemies of progress what they really are, ENEMIES OF LAGOS!

Wike and Umahi has been constructing bridges and roads and I wonder how many they've tolled or are those not part of developments?
