Was it printed and mailed to your spouse to submit? Or did your spouse had to print on a white plain sheet? Or did you submit the application from your end?

Could you please clarify what you mean by "paper with picture quality"? Was this printed on a normal white plain paper or using the kind of passport material?

We have printed my spouse's picture on a white plain sheet (color) but we are not sure if that's acceptable. (i.e., do we have to print it using the standard passport material?)

I took the pictures made the studio sign at the back of one of the pictures I also wrote my full name behind the picture too then scanned the front and back picture to him

Also the studio CEO wrote his full details and signed on a A4 paper I also wrote my full details on it and scanned the A4 paper to my spouse

Medical request July 16 2021.
Interview request October 21 2021.
Interview conducted by Accra visa officer via online video call at IOM Ikeja on November 30, 2021.
PPR December 7, 2021.
Submitted passport on 8 December 2021 via dhl 2 way courier to vfs abuja who forwarded to vfs ghana.
Passport stamped by IRCC Accra December 29, 2021.
Received stamped passport January 11, 2022.

Answered this via email but for others who may have similar questions, here goes;

Since I was the one submitting the application on my end, we filled the forms electronically, sent to my husband, he only printed the parts requiring his declaration and signature, scanned only those pages back to me. Then I printed all the forms on my side, signed on the ones relating to me and added his signed copies to each of the forms.

Then we mailed it to the processing center.

Here is the basic guide we used in completing our application. Alongside the checklist that came with the application kit. It all points to mailing the documents to a processing center.

The basic guide only explains that the processing fee can be paid online, and the application can be linked online after the documents are received and processed in the system.

I'll be surprised if we could actually do this same process online and CIC didn't make it clear.

Wow CIC not again! They keep rolling out new amateur sites and refuse to update their home pages and basic guides. Thanks both of you for clarifying.

We have gone through the painful process of submitting by paper, although we probably would have still done paper so as not to be limited by upload size, but hopefully others will find this useful/helpful and they can decide which works best for them.

It was an hour long. It was less about questions and more of a conversation for the officer to really get into your relationship and years together, how we met, details about events in our lives. Just make sure you put together all supporting documents you can think of, which they will instruct you to do in your interview invitation letter. If your relationship is genuine, the conversation will speak for itself, you just have to be relaxed and don’t be afraid, after all, it’s genuine.

My spouse lived in Canada before we met.

It took 1 year from submission to landing.
