Is sending your siblings and parents passport and birth certificate or NiN mandatory? So siblings may not be comfortable giving out such. |

Hi guys help and advice needed First application submitted: March 4 2020 Refused: May 15 2020 Refusal grounds: Family ties in Canada and in country of residence; current employment situation; purpose of visit Institution: Concordia University of Edmonton Program: Degree - Environmental Health (After Degree) Second application: August 5 2020 Refused: October 2 2020 Refusal grounds: Family ties in Canada and in country of residence; current employment situation; purpose of visit Upgraded LOE Institution: Concordia University of Edmonton Program: Degree - Environmental Health (After Degree) GCMS: I have reviewed the application. Given family ties or economic motives to remain in Canada, the applicant's incentives to remain in Canada may outweigh their ties to their home country. The applicant's plan of studies appears vague and poorly documented given applicant's last level of studies obtained in the field and applicant's employment experience, purpose does not appear reasonable. According to the applicant's current or future employment prospects, I have accorded less weight to their employment ties to their country of residence. Weighing the factors in this application. I am not satisfied that the applicant will depart Canada at the end of the period authorized for their stay. For the reasons above, I have refused this application. Third application: June 2021 2nd refusal: March 08 2021 Reason: Purpose of visit Program: Occupational health, safety and wellness Credential: Ontario College Graduate Certificate (Post-Graduate) Institution: Conestoga college Tuition deposit: paid GCMS note in process BSc: Environmental Mgt Grade: 2.1 Sponsor: Parent Occupation: Manger/supervisor Funds available Upfront medicals Thanks sabi people @Teemenzo @makano @Time2soar1 @Davidbanky |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Teemenzo: 10:10am On Mar 18, 2022 |
Greenwisher: Did you notice the semblance in the refusal reasons? My opinion, its related to your SOP and the difference in your work experience compared to your proposed study. That's for Purpose of Visit Secondly, home ties. Your hometies could also stand in for some part of your personal asset and financial status. Meaning your property, financial investments and obligations. Your parents and siblings, spouse(if any), job, business also are your home ties. I really can't say much about the employment prospect because i no know weti concern them. Na dem get your life? Bottom line, work more on your SOP and declared all you have in Nigeria. |

Please gurus @mekano,@technix,@legacyedition@teemenzo and others please what could the vo mean by refusing based on personal asset because i don’t understand have you seen this before? I added 2 landed property in my application though in my spouse’s name. Does it mean the VO doesn’t see it as mine too lol. For purpose of visit i studied accounting (HND) and i worked as an Admin officer / HR assistant for over 6yrs and i applied for Human Resources Management (post diploma) . Did i make any mistake with that? I stopped working amid covid but my ex boss gave me a recommendation letter. i have a business running since 2017 i included the CAC documents. I no even understand For financial status: my spouse is my sponsor he Opened a domiciliary account in my name since 2019 which he deposited money solely for this purpose and he wrote a sponsorship letter i added all his work documents and how he accumulated funds from trip allowances plus all his travel history. I also added my personal savings account. I will wait for my notes to arrive but if there is anything i can get done before then let me know edakun. 1 Like 1 Share |

Teemenzo:Thanks for your response That GCMS was for the second application and I worked on the reasons stated with a LOE. I think this VO got past the home ties and employment iss and left with the 'purpose of visit' in the third application. |

I advice that u contact someone like Frankrobbin who has proven track record of handling difficult cases. i'm sure youve read some testimonies from people he packaged their application on this thread. Search for his number on this thread and put a call thru. Thats my 2 cents. Na God only sabi wetin immigration officers want from us at times. Most importantly commit all to God in prayers. What God cannot do those not exist. It will surely end in praise. Cheers Greenwisher: 4 Likes |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by technix: 11:37am On Mar 18, 2022 |
Sorry about the refusal. It will end in praise. Often, personal asset is tied to financial status. It means bank asset (from my experience over time and the evaluation guide provided by IRCC to their VOs). Property is mainly considered for home ties. It may be hard to comment on the others until one sees your LOE or the GCMS note. dchamps: |
