My spouse enrolled his biometrics around June 2012 when he applied for a study permit that was refused. I applied for study permit on Jan 31st 2022 with him as my accompany family member applied for SOWP via online application. Yesterday he got a request letter from IRCC asking him to pay $85 CAD for biometrics enrollment. Does this mean he will need to do another biometrics enrollment at VFS? Or the old one still valid its almost 10 years now.

Note when we applied on January I got biometric collection letter which was already done and updated. We both did upfront medical updated and passed, in fact his medicals updated before mine.

Please house advice will IRCC request another biometrics enrollment from him?

Please pay the 85CAD and do the biometrics. The 10yrs validity has elapsed hence why they require new biometrics details.

Without doing it, both apps will be paused.

9 but the agent said he does not release login details ie(the account he used to apply for her visa ). so someone suggested that when she gets to Canada she can create a new account with her Canadian bank details since its the same UCI number IRCC always has a track of applications and if one is doing anything wrong they will surely let the person know. because she cant always depend on the agent what if somehting happens to him or when she wants to apply for her PGWP and other things will she keep depending on the agent?
please what do you suggest she does?

TELL her demand for the login details as long as she has paid the agent in FULL.

If she can't get the login, I think she can use her UCI and or application number to transfer the file to a new GC key. People sometimes forget their login details too. They just open another one and reconnect the application with those details.

Yes, use Skyscanner.

Unless this person is charging you for helping you pay, you don't need more than 75k on barter to pay for the application fee since you're not paying for biometrics.

GD day guys. I am trying to book ahead for flight to Edmonton for July/August against fall resumption but the crazy flight fee I am seeing is disturbing. Beside ethiopia airline appears to be fully booked through our July ( no space). An average of 500k and above are the common fair.

I was also forced to attempt paying by myself; lo and behold, it went through and I was charged Naira equivalent at a very cheap rate.

Was the reason for the rejection stated?

Good afternoon everyone.

Please I am asking for a friend.

He tried to apply for his study permit through the new portal and after uploading his documents, he was taking to payment session but was not with his card to make payment thus he decided to close the page. Later when he was ready to make payment, he realized his application status has been pending and he could not proceed. It is 2 days already and the page is still like that.

Should he start another application since he did not receive any email confirming submission and he did not make payment yet.

Kindly advise, this is urgent.

@CheapHomes1 I don't mean to discredit your post but I think it may be misleading quoting tuition fee for Canadian colleges and universities as $16k+ as if there are no colleges and universities with tuition fees as low as $10,000 depending on the program of study.

Even, some colleges offer courses as low as $9000 for international students.

I coincidentally got a medical request on thesame day I booked for a session on iom’s website (hours after booking) . I was given 22nd of March initially so I mailed iom explaining to them why I need to get my booked session moved. So they worked something out and gave me 9th of March. If you’re using iom, just send them a mail if you have gotten a request they will respond in two or three working days. I don’t know much about Q life though. But if you have the medical request they will work something out. If you’re doing upfront, I am not so sure.
